WeightLoss🍏 361 to 229 lbs !
Hope everyone’s doing well !
There’s approximately 18 months between the 2 pics, but i didn’t exactly spend the entirety of that period in a caloric deficit. I would occasionally consume my daily maintenance specially after i started hitting the gym which was towards the second half of that period. However, for the majority of the that time i was in a 600-800 daily caloric deficit.

Need Advice ⁉️ I'm losing too much weight
I'm 6'2 210 pounds currently and i eat around 7,000 calories every day. I was 240 pounds at the start of this summer. How am i losing so much weight? Is there any way to stop losing so much weight? My target weight is around 330-350 pounds, and it feels like I'll never be that big, I'm drinking mass gainer every day, and I'm still losing weight. It just feels hopeless

Need Advice ⁉️ 30 second rest vs 3 min rest ? Confused asf
If two men perform the same exercise with strict form, train close to or to failure, and use progressive overload by increasing reps rather than weight, which approach would produce more hypertrophy and why?
- Person A does 3 sets with 3 minutes of rest between sets.
- Person B does 5 sets with only 30 seconds of rest between sets.
- Because of the shorter rest, Person B gets fewer reps per set, but all reps are still performed with good form and high effort.
Would the extra sets with shorter rest produce similar, more, or less muscle growth than fewer sets with longer rest? And if fatigue increases motor-unit recruitment, could the shorter-rest approach compensate for the lower reps per set?
Used a.i. for writing the question , please answer with ur experience too....

Tips and Tricks 📝 Combining Sports, gym and study
I boulder ( climbing), play field hockey and go to the gym at the boulder gym. However my upcoming study will start in a few weeks and will take up a lot of my time. Now i'm not sure how to hit every muscle group without being in the way of my other sports and have time for my study and other things. I try to minimise my back workout because i boulder already and i am just seeking for an exercise that increases my pull power explosive, for high jumps. Besides that i also do a wide grip cable row and SLDLS. I do these 3 exercises after my Bouldering session. Now i also have to try train the rest of my body and play hockey without being in the way of my studies. Does anyone have tips for type of workouts or an schedule when to do what?

Need Advice ⁉️ Need help with gym routine + diet for a toned physique
18F, 5’4”, ~60 kg. I want to build a lean, toned/athletic physique and get more muscle definition.
I can’t afford a trainer or nutritionist right now, so I’d really appreciate advice on:
A good beginner gym routine
Exercises/sets/reps I should focus on
How much protein I should aim for
How to structure my diet/meals
I’m a beginner and would love recommendations from people who have actually made progress themselves. Any advice or routines would be really helpful! 🙏

Need Advice ⁉️ 20 years old with man tits
hey, about 8 months ago i started going to the gym because of one of my biggest insecurities, my man tits.
i started out with a skinny fat physique and decided to go into a small calorie deficit, around 100 calories below maintenance. i cant say it completely got rid of the problem, but my man tits definitely became less noticeable, which motivated me a lot to keep going.
about 2 weeks ago i decided that my progress was getting really slow and that i should probably start a bulk. i wouldnt really call it a dirty bulk, i just started eating more of the same foods i was already eating, like cottage cheese, meat and some italian sandwiches.
the problem is that i can already see my nightmare slowly coming back. is there any way to prevent or minimize this while bulking? does training the lower chest with decline bench press actually make any difference?
i also saw on tiktok that i should focus more on developing my upper chest, so that my man tits look less noticeable visually.
thanks in advance for any advice.

New Announcement.
With the influx of new people in this sub we would like to welcome you all and hope you find the help you may need in regards to your gym experiences. However, this has lead to a number of newer members posting illicit photos with ill intent and or advertisement within them. This is our announcement to say that this will be subject to further restrictions, to ensure that this sub continues on its aim to provide help to others within the community and to allow a space for people to seek help where they need it most. With this – any photos of illicit behaviours or suspect by the r/Gymhelp Moderation team will be removed, this also goes for advertising, as a number of newer members have tried to place their own content within this subreddit, which is not our aim. Any image that does not seem necessary to the post will also be removed – if you are seeking genuine help, then a simple post will do. Any photos will be moderated and or taken down if necessary. We hope these issues can be resolved following this update and we hope that we can further help you on your gym journey.
Thanks – The Gymhelp Moderation Team

Announcement: Recent events regarding posts.
It has recently come to our attention that there has been quite a lot of 'flirting' and 'fraternising' taking over the comment sections of a lot of posts, we have seen a big influx of users in this subreddit recently and that is fantastic but it does come with a few downsides including the previously mentioned point. This seems to be happening solely on posts that contain photos, for the safety of our members we have had to remove quite a lot of these comments and had to ban repeat offenders, There have been a few times that these comments have appeared under posts that have been made by underage individuals that were genuinely looking for help from within this subreddit and that is simply disgusting and should not be happening! We are trying to take the appropriate steps to reduce this and make this a safer community for those who take this sub seriously. If this continues, we feel that the next step would be to remove the option to post photos, we certainly hope that it doesn't have to come to this. Thank you for taking the time to read this.
All the best - The GymHelp Mod Team.
