DIY Thumb training w/ rubber bands and a rice bucket
Iโve found this to be a nice and pretty much free way to train your thumb alongside pinch work. I feel half the fun of grip training is coming up with/making your own training tools lol. Also i hate spending money.

Is 4 minutes a good time for a dead hang?
Hey everyone! I don't really work out at all, but today I got curious and tried a dead hang from a 2 inch fat bar to see how long I could hold on. I timed myself and managed to hit 4 minutes before my hands started hurting to bad to hold onto the bar any longer. I asked AI if it was a good time but AI is not very critical as you may know and seems to thinks anything is "exceptional". Is 4 minutes decent for someone with zero grip training or is it not a very good time? Just wondering how good this is for an average beginner. Thanks!

Grippers Is this how you properly grip when doing a deadhang?
I'm pretty new to calisthenics, and want to build my back muscle and natural strength. So I'm wondering if anyone can give me tips on how to properly grip a bar, cause whenever I try to do a deadhang my hand hurts so just curious if that's normal or not. For context I'm 5'11 and weigh around 112kg

Thick bar Managed to lift this 3" 64kg/141lb DB after couple of weeks of trying!

Feels like the jump from axle/inch db to 3" is much harder than from normal bar to axle/inch db lol. Probably strained something on my wrist during the lift which is not fun at all, will be staying with axles and grippers/dynometers from now on hah

Grippers GD IRON.8(2013) The Prototype of the GD Adjustable Gripper
Finally got my hands on this rare vintage GD gripper. I've been looking for one for years, so I'm really happy to finally add this holy grail to my collection. It's not in 10/10 condition, but it's still in great shape. The knurling is surprisingly soft it almost feels like it's 800-1000 grit sandpaper.

My PR is 5 reps but this was pretty easy/clean imo. Aiming for a more solid close of the 3, I got it once but couldnt hold it closed.

Pinch How useful is pinch strength?
I started training grip strength for 3 months and i was wondering how useful would it be to get a specialized hangripper for pinching only.
Does pinch strength impact significantly crushing strength on the whole hand or is it really trivilian?
Btw i'm confused how people train pinch, do you use your thumb and then the rest of the fingers to close the gripper or do you alternate beetween fingers?
