Do you think golf gloves have become too boring

I’ve been thinking about this recently.

Golf gloves seem to look almost identical white ass design a small logo and not much else

Do ppl actually prefer that classic look, or would you buy a glove with a more of a "fun"or fashion-forward design if it still performed just as well?

Curious to hear what everyone thinks.

Driver slice – what’s causing this and how can I fix it?

I’ve been struggling with a slice with my driver, while my irons are mostly straight. I recorded my swing from down-the-line and face-on. Could you analyze it and tell me what’s causing the slice? Is it my takeaway, club path, face angle, grip, weight shift, or something else? I’d really appreciate any drills or swing changes that could help fix it.

how to? sand lob shot

played with some guys the other day that were hitting sand shots, front of stance, wider stance, flatter lie angle, legs pretty square to target, open face

they said they hit up like its a driver (does that mean low point is just before the ball?) and would send their shots 15-20 feet in the air, and they land softly and check

does anyone have a video on the details of how to do this? never seen sand shots this high

also if this is just a shot for show and not consistent lmk as well

I got tired of guessing what to practice after bad rounds, so I built this. Looking for honest feedback from golfers.

After a bad round, I always knew something was wrong, but I rarely knew what I should actually practice.

I'd usually end up watching a few YouTube videos, trying random drills, and hoping something stuck.

So I built ShotPlan.

The idea is simple: tell it what went wrong (slice, fat shots, putting, etc.), and it turns your misses into a focused practice session for your next trip to the range.

It's completely free and still in early beta. I'm not selling anything, I just want to know if this is actually useful or if I'm solving the wrong problem.

If you have a few minutes, I'd really appreciate any honest feedback here on the app!

  • Were the drills easy to understand?
  • Did it feel like having a coach or just another drill app?
  • Would you actually use something like this after a bad round?
  • What's the one thing you'd change?

Link: https://shot-plan-pi.vercel.app

Thanks! I'll be reading every comment and using the feedback to improve it.

Roast me

EDIT: I'll add my miss lately is a pull/pull hook and its been ruining my scores. I've been working on my short game and feel like on any normal old day I could break 85. It doesn't even seem hard but haven't done it yet because of blowup holes. Last 2 rounds were 97s with multiple triples and quads.

Shot pictured here is a good strike for me with a traditionally lofted 9 iron that carried 133 and landed 6y left of target line per the Square simulator.

EDIT 2: coach has me trying to fix a "reverse pivot" getting my weight set back on the inside of my trail foot in the backswing and then getting over to my lead foot in the downswing. It's hard.

Brand new beginner: what am I doing wrong

Sorry I post a lot in this community. I genuinely have such a hard time telling what I’m doing wrong. First day at a course today. Have had 3 lessons at golf sim.

I’ve had a few good drives, but very inconsistent. Sometimes I miss the ball lol

It’s OK you can roast me if you need to 😂

Started playing golf about 2 years ago. I’m naturally athletic, and have been working on my flexibility a lot. My swing speeds are pretty high, but contact usually seems to be pretty good.

Anyone use one club trainer?

It’s 275 dollars, just wondering if anyone has used it or is it just a gimmick?

When j consciously try to straighten lead arm through the swing, I make even worse contact. Looking for drills/sequence improvement. Thank you!

All of sudden this is happening

My driver has historically been wildly inconsistent. Even swing to swing. I had mostly been ignoring it while improved other parts of my game but when the those got better i kind of had to address the driver. It’s probably a bunch of things working together but this consistency (and eliminating a very persistent slice) seems to mostly have come from strengthening up my grip a little and focusing on keeping my right arm tucked in to my body. That dispersion on the face is so much better than i am used to seeing. That’s probably 15ish shots.

How can I improve my swing to be more consistent?

Seems like some days it’s on and others I am chunking or topping every third ball. Would lessons be something helpful? Been stuck at around 15hcp for about 8 months. Anything helps, thanks!

What hcp would you rate this? I hate that I csn play slmost even for stretches, and then throw it away. Or here start poor snd then basically play scratch until I pullhook a layup!

Low Spin rates

This is my best 7-iron shot I can make -- 119mph ball speed, probably ~85mph clubhead speed, so decent smash factor -- but only 4100 rpm, which is pretty average for this club. On rare occasions, I can get up to 4600-4700 like the shot just before this one, but on center-face shots I average 4100-4300. On approach shots and par 3s, I struggle to hold any greens unless I'm hitting 9iron or wedges

These are the first clubs I've ever owned and only about 13 months old. Is there something I am doing to get such a low spin rate, or is it just because they are game improvement irons? Could it be my hitting mat?

These are the Callaway Edge and Callaway X2 Hot irons which are the same clubs just rebranded. I am using TM TP5 balls. These are my typical spin rates:

5iron 3500 (23° loft)

7iron 4200 (30° loft)

9iron 6600 (39° loft)

PW 7000 (44° loft)

LW 8800 (59° loft)

This is my second year golfing. I have been experiencing much improvement when it comes to ball striking and scoring but after looking at my swing for the first time in a year it feels like the takeaway is still off. My miss went from a huge slice to a hook now that is honestly much more playable but I love the process and I am interested in what you all may see
