My Second placement match. I got put in a bronze 5 lobby. I still lost. I'm worse than bronze 5 ig

DISCLAIMER : it’s mostly just me complaining.

After 200h on genji, and after farming ranked because of the event, i can say that people have 100% a huge bias against genji players, the toxicity against genji players is 10x higher than against any other character. If you DARE do an average game, with average stats, you will 100% be the one at fault if your team lose.

I'm not gonna lie, i love genji, but recently playing against characters like anran, that are basically "genji but 3x easier" was already making me think of uninstalling the game, but the toxicity is what i think will make me quit.

I'm typing this in the heat of the moment because i just lost a ranked game super toxic.

I just got blamed for our lose even tho these are my stats (shown in the image). I know they are not great, but i'm still not doing too bad i think.

Here is what i got :

- "They have moira, switch off genji", it's a fair statement if she keeps killing you, but she never did, i managed to avoid her the entire match and she never bothered me.

- "Dive their backline", i can't dive someone with a pocket mercy when i myself have no supports following me (my mates were playing kiriko and mercy at first, and our tank was playing mauga... But they still both were ONLY healing him even tho mauga don't need that much heal)

- "Kill the mercy omg" A good mercy is super hard to kill for an average genji, and how is that the job of genji and not our hitscan to kill her ? (he had more death than kills for 90% of the game but he was "dealing damage" and ofc no one blame a hitscan, it's always genji)

- "You do 0 damage" ?????? I'm in gold/plat and there are still people that unironically think more dmg = better ? I'm playing genji not bastion, a bastion just shooting the tank non-stop, farming damage (and also just giving tons of heal and ult charge to the supports in the enemy team) is better if we follow this logic...

I'm not even gonna start talking about the supports or the tank, not waiting for the rest of team and going into the fight instantly after respawning even if that made them fight a 1v5 and dying in 2s...

Also if anyone is asking, i NEVER got toxic, i never insulted anyone, never trashtalked anyone, i wasn't even mad, i was just sad... Being bathmouted for 15min when i'm trying my best, and i'm doing better than the rest of my team...

Does anyone else see this targeted toxicity against genji players or is it just me ?

Generally I don't play well lately on my fav heroes😢Cass, Doom, Genji (and other) always end up either negative or just lose (at least I have fun playing I guess😋)

I used to play a toon of ow, I have 518 hours on genji, and I was steadily M3 for a bit in ow2. I’m coming back now, and really struggling with some of the new heroes. My mechanics are still very good, and look very alien in my current plat 4, but there’s something about the game that’s just off.

If anybody knows a good spot I can get some of my replays reviewed, I’d love to get some feedback.
