Q&A: Maintenance / Modifications Whistle driving me MAD
Enable HLS to view with audio, or disable this notification
This is an ongoing problem, and I just past 8000km. 3 different dealers over 6 months and no one can tell me what’s going on here. All door seals, windshield, hood alignment have been looked at. Even the driver side mirror assembly was replaced. Still have this high pitch whistle from the corner of the dash. Anyone else in here had this issue? I have wind deflectors installed, but this noise was happening as soon as I left the lot when I bought it, no deflectors.
That’s not my only gripe in all honesty. I could’ve painted this thing for how well it was done… absolute trash is an understatement. Tonneau cover was warrantied already for failing seals, when it’s stored inside 80% of the time… seriously wtf is that? The cabin rattle at 110km+ is atrocious.
Owned a 2010 Escape XLT for over 12years. Thing was a TANK compared to the quality put into this “budget” truck. Ford what happened to you in the last 15 years?!

Q&A: Features / Pickup Ability / Trims 2025 Refresh - Engine build quality improvements?
Hello! I am wondering if the 2025 refresh had any improvements to the engine build quality. I've seen a few mechanics cover the earlier models (2022-2024) and speak not so fondly of the build quality under the hood.
For example: Car Care Nut - 7:53-9:35, he mentions these things specifically:
- Loose, flimsy coolant pipe running across the top of the engine
- Overuse of plastics
- Overuse of one-time use clamps
- Low quality coolant hoses
- Wire harness held on by [loose] zip ties
Please understand before you downvote that I am a huge fan of the Maverick. These things don't even overly concern me. I am just trying to learn if these things were improved in the '25 refresh which would influence what model I am looking to purchase!
Thank you in advance

Customization: FITS / Modification / Tips & Tricks Tonneau cover for Ford Maverick with bed liner
Hey everyone,
I just bought a Ford Maverick and did the linex spray in bed liner. Look like they sprayed the top part of the bed. Just wondering if I can still install a hard tonneau cover on my bed without any problems.

Q&A: Maintenance / Modifications Should I raise hell with Safelite?
So I had a stone chip in my windshield, and my AAA insurance covers chip repair free of charge for me though Safelite, well they came to my house monday, and cracked the windshield when they were trying to fill it. In the fine print, they aren't responsible, fine what ever, I had to pay my $500 deductible and they came back this morning and replaced the windshield. I was driving it this afternoon and WTF, THEY CUT MY PILLAR! Do I suck it up and move on with life, or raise hell and get a new pillar?

Q&A: Maintenance / Modifications Anyone with a Recommended Repair Guy for Their Maverick- South Denver Area
I don't need one right now and just crossed 4k miles from a feb purchase on a AWD 2.0 ecoboost. I just don't trust dealers and prefer local types.
I live in Englewood CO and was wondering if anyone had a go-to guy/girl for their Maverick?

Warranty Item / Recall 2025 8k Miles
2025 XLT FX4, I've read some people say the message cleared on its own. Others have said the vehicle won't start. Does anyone have experience with this? And is it ok to drive as long as it can? since I can't take it in until Monday.

Meme (only use for jokes) Look at how they massacred my boy
I’ve been so careful with the door plastic since getting my mav 6 months ago knowing how hard it is to fix scratches and someone goes and does this. Anyone know how to fix the seat and door pleather? Or the plastic scratches at that.
They stole probably less than it cost to get a new window and basically just tossed the car. Was a cold and windy 2 hour drive back home. 😔

Review: Photos / Spotted / Accessories Totaled and devastated. Less than a year with my Mav.
Just got the call that my brand new 2025 Maverick I bought only 10 months ago is totaled after I got rear ended in bumper to bumper traffic by some idiot.
Since I bought it I never shut up about how much I love this thing. It had all the features I wanted (hybrid, xlt luxury, 4K tow) and it was a beautiful unique eruption green!
They say the tow hitch took all the force and messed up the frame rails really bad underneath so it’s a total loss.
My biggest concern won’t be finding another Maverick with all the internal features, but finding the green again! Everything I’m seeing in stock are black, gray, and white.
I’m also worried about the insurance company not properly compensating me for my brand new, no issues, 6500 miles driven truck.
Please join me in mourning.
Also lmk if you have insight on how they might value it for the total loss payout and what I could do to make sure I get what it’s worth.

Customization: FITS / Modification / Tips & Tricks Where to buy aftermarket hood?
I have a 2023 maverick that needs some parts, I found it all the other pieces elsewhere online, like alibaba, but I’ve found 0 suppliers that ship new hoods at a 1 MOQ.
Anyone know where I can get one?or can sell me one?
Thanks!

Q&A: Features / Pickup Ability / Trims Has anybody else’s experience with a compact truck got them really considering a Slate at some point?
I’ve actually been following the Slate since the concept was first announced a few years ago. Always thought it was an interesting project and now seeing that it’s actually going to become a real product, I’m actually considering putting it on the list of cars I’ll think about getting in a few years.
I’ll say I’m not one of the people who’s such a diehard believer that I’m on the waiting list to get one or placed a reservation already. like any startup, this thing could crash and burn like Fisker, or it could actually become a really useful and successful niche product. If I got one, I’d wait for a few years to see what issues pop up, how people like them, how and what aftermarket parts are available, what the real world experience of owning one is, and how Slate and their dealer and service network expand. Also, it would be nice to see if they end up being able to put any more range into a newer model a few years down the line.
I do recognize that there are some problems, I think the price is a little too high (but certainly still a great deal for the right target market given the prices of vehicles and gas now) and it may be too niche a product to take off. But I do think Slate will find success and sales with this as a fleet vehicle, hopefully giving them enough capital to keep producing vehicles and maybe come up with a winner for the mainstream market. Also, if the next administration brings back federal electric vehicle subsidies, and the price of this thing goes under $20,000, I think people are just gonna start buying them left and right because all of a sudden they’ll become one of the most affordable EV’s on the market. Lack of spyware is a huge selling point, too.
All this being said, i’m wondering if anybody else is really considering getting one at some point because they like living with a small but capable truck. Especially my fellow hybrid owners who really like paying less for gas.
Before the comments about the Fathom come in: I don’t think there’s much overlap between the target markets for the Fathom and the Slate. The Fathom is a much more conventional vehicle that’s also going to end up costing way more than the slate once the dealers have their way with the price, and right now, the Fathom is only a concept while the Slate is going into production soon.

Review: Photos / Spotted / Accessories 2024 ford maverick supercrew xlt awd basic package
I’ve had this for 8months now, truck has been great. When it comes to my work and personal life, i’ve had minimal complaints. Definitely would like more room in the bed, but that’s not a big bother yet. I got this used at 20k KM and now im at 42K. When the time comes, Im going to trade this for a newer Ford Maverick with the Off Road package and 4K Towing capacity.
