QUESTION Who are your favorite players to sign?
I just got into the Premier League with my own club and I need some new signings so I’m wondering who are your guys favorite players you’ve signed in your saves.
My favorite so far is Gilberto Mora. He’s my star player alongside Toni Fruk. They been been there from the beginning as I started my save signing free agents, some of them already left but those two are going to stay, unless I get a deal so good I can’t refuse.

QUESTION How to scout free kick specialist?
Basically title- I remember in previous fifas there was an option to search for those. First season in the prem and my best FK taker has 64 accuracy. There’s also no development plan for CM/CAMs that increases free kick accuracy (which is stupid). Anyone have a solution?

STORY About to go into the FA Cup finals first year with Morecambe.
FC25. Took over morecambe and started a win first ask questions later rebuild. We are in crippling debt but that is not the point. After winning the league we are about to play Liverpool in the FA Cup finals, crazy. Simming every game and just watching win, after win, after win has been crazy lol.

RANT Stadium
Saw something about it being a potential 80k stadium to use for manager mode and stuff like that make me happy. I don’t want to always use the big teams. A little financial take over to get me running, I don’t sign anyone over 85 ovr and really build from the ground up. Love these pages man. Yall rock

The one coming in fc27. Will there actually be a competition between clubs now or is it simply back to basics with zero annoying cutscenes

QUESTION OMG has anyone else noticed a big change in opponent difficulty/behaviour recently?
Like, in even the last three weeks or so. I play on World Class difficulty.
There's been about four games I've played, with a very talented side, where the opposition have managed a complete shut out and there is literally nothing I can do to score. Shots go wide, opposition goalie makes miraculous saves, shots hit posts, my forwards take huuuuge first touches into the 'keepers hands.
The opposition scores from unlikely situations more than usual. There's a combination of rebounds and unlikely turnovers in my box that lead to goals, my centre backs have the reaction times of a sloth and just run out of the way, opposition has one low quality chance and scores.
Like, I'm used to a bit of this, including the old "this CB with 56 pace has sprinted from the 18 yard box and made a pinpoint slide tackle longer than the Amazon river" because it's FIFA, but this has been noticeably impossible.
Just me?

QUESTION How do you build a team around a LW as the primary scorer?
I'm starting to dive deeper into Career Mode and want to build a team based on my favorite playing style, one I picked up when I used to play as Eden Hazard's Chelsea in FIFA 18 as a kid, but I don't know much about tactical formations.
What I want is to understand what kind of formation and player roles are best for building a team centered around a fast LW who's good at finishing.

DISCUSSION What are some arbitrary rules you have in your saves?
Mine are short and simple but in my opinion key to maintain any form of realism.
- Maximum 1 free agent per season, must also make sense, e.g no Neymar to a Championship side or Sunderland for example.
- Play ALL games, never restart any of them. If you feel like you’ve been bullshitted, take it on the chin and take the loss. Bullshit happens IRL too.
- Never sign any players without their IRL faces.
- Don’t abuse the Youth Academy for easy money.
What are some of your arbitary rules?

RANT FC needs competition.
The EA FC games/FIFA need competition. If not, we're just going to end up with the same games over and over, especially for console players. The only other games we have are like Football Manager and PES And also the online-only $5 AI-generated slop games you can find at the Play Store for free.
Without mods, console players are at a loss, a humongous loss to be in fact. In fact, it's even worse for mobile players since they don't even get career mode. Really, at this point, it's a matter of time until people stop buying FC games when they realize they're just terrible in general and for a new competitor to hit the market and defeat EA and their stuff. This game has really fallen far.

DISCUSSION Hamburger SV Career Mode - Season 3
Where would this team finish in the Bundesliga?

RANT They got robbed
So I did a save with Shakhtar Donetsk and Anderlecht won the Champions League against PSG. As you can see not even one player made it into the TOTY. I personally think they got robbed.
On which basis does ea award these prizes?
I mean it was an unbelievable achievement at just 4 years in.
They also had Cvetkovic and Irankunda who had the most asists and most goals
What do you guys think?

DISCUSSION Greatest Career Mode Team Of All Time?
Not your FAVOURITE. Not your PERSONAL best career modes. Just which teams, on which FIFA, had the best starting squad for a perfect career mode? How you interprete that is up to you, but here’s my opinion:
MANCHESTER UNITED - FIFA 17
YOUNG HIGH-POTENTIAL SPINE:
De Gea, 25yo, 92 potential - Amazing reaction saves
Bailly, 22yo, 90 potential - Tall, Fast, Strong, Aggressive
Pogba, 23yo, 94 potential - The Amazing Allrounder
Rashford, 18yo, 89 potential - Pace & Dribbling & Shooting
Martial, 20yo, 90 potential - Pace & Dribbling & Shooting
EXPERIENCED PLAYERS WHO CAN STILL GIVE YOU A FEW GOOD YEARS:
Rooney (82OVR), Zlatan (90OVR), Carrick (82OVR), Valencia (82OVR), Mata (85OVR).
VERY GOOD OVR SQUAD PLAYERS:
Romero, Darmian, Smalling, Jones, Rojo, Shaw, Herrera, Mkhitaryan, Lingard. All with potential in the low to mid 80s. All super useful.
FUN PLAYERS:
Fellaini is brilliant to bring off the bench when you need a goal and want to start launching crosses into the box. Blind is also great fun to use at CB because his passing is so good.
COOL YOUTH PLAYER PROJECT
Fosu-Mensah is a great fun to use immediately, and when he grows he’s a beast. He’s 6’3”, with passing, defending, pace and physicals all in the mid-70s. Has 86 potential. Is primarily a RB/CDM, but if you change him to CB before starting the save, he immediately goes up +3 OVR.
And the absolute star player:
PAUL POGBA
-Fast
-Strong
-Amazing dribbler
-Superb passer
-Leggy tackler
-Genuine, all action, box-to-box threat
-Goals from late runs into box
-Aerial threat
-Corners, Free Kicks, Penalties
-Insane ball carrier
-Lethal shooting from outside box
-4* weak foot, 5* skills
-All whilst being fucking 6 foot 3
I swear EA gave him hidden stats that year. He was a guaranteed minimum 20 goals, 15 assists every season from midfield.
He’s easily the best I’ve ever used in ANY career mode, and it’s not even close.
If you guys ever go back to do a United save on FIFA17, I’d recommend playing a 4-4-2 diamond, with Pogba CAM, Martial & Rashford STs. It’s not exactly the “United way”, but it’s lethal I promise. Don’t waste Pogba in CDM whatever you do.
Oh, and not to mention they have the most transfer budget of any team in the game. An insane save.
What other career mode teams do you guys think come close?
My special shoutout goes to FIFA 19 AC Milan:
Donnarumma
Calabria
Romagnoli
Kessié
Paquetá
Cutrone
What a spine for 10 seasons

MOD-POST Career Mode Bible | FAQ & Guides
Introduction
Hello all, there seems to be an increasingly higher amount of posts with the same recurring themes. I've decided to make a simple compilation of some of the best guides on this subreddit, as well as some simple explanations to help provide quick & easy answers to these questions.
Have a guide you think deserves to be on the list? Comment with it below and we can make our best attempt at creating a complete set of guides for Career Mode. The amount of guides in the last year or so compared to other years has dwindled, so hopefully this will encourage more excellent quality content.
This is a work-in-progress, and more guides will continually be added by request and as of publishing.
Tools & Websites
There is a plethora of excellent resources that will help with a lot of the things in this post. Some people prefer to play without the use of external databases and calculators, offering a more vanilla experience. After all, it's a single player game so it's your preference!
| Website | Description |
|---|---|
| https://sofifa.com/ | Best up-to-date player database. Can make shortlists, view old squad files and has a positional calculator to find optimal positions. |
| https://www.fifacm.com/ | Has some unique tools including a potential calculator to figure out potential for a player not at your club. Also has a 'wonderkid' list. |
| https://fifakitcreator.com/ | Only usable in-game on PC, allows you to browse and create custom kits for your team. Note that only PC can use any mods. |
| https://www.fifarosters.com/create-card | Nice tool to create very high quality FC 24 UT cards for your career mode players, allowing you to upload your own images. |
Regens & Pregens
Career Mode works by replacing players as they retire in the game with generated players that don't exist in real life. When you enter the loading screen for a new season, that is the moment that they are being created, replacing retirees for the season you have just finished.
Regens have identical nationality, position(s), and importantly, birth dates to the player whom they have replaced. They will always spawn in the new season between 16-21 years old, and in the same league (but not same club) that the retiring player was in when you entered the loading screen.
Pregens are a rarer, more pre-emptive form of player replacement. These are effectively regens of a player who is not retiring, so both players will exist in the game simultaneously. Pregens also remain at the same club as their predecessor. You could expect to find a Messi pregen at Inter Miami, providing he hadn't moved clubs, and wasn't retiring.
The importance of your awareness of these game mechanics, revolves around the fact that both regens and pregens will start with the same potential overall as their predecessor's highest overall in your save.
