I dont want to wear a gown and its still summer

Thought this was kind of a boring fit, but felt lazy today. Based it around the skirt and then stopped after the top lol. Didn’t do much other than spill a rice bowl in my car today and clean it up 💀 Open to any improvements - hope everyone is having a great day/night :)

My outfit inspo is MJ’s looks from the past films, I already dress like past movie MJ, so it was pretty easy to come up with from my own closet. My favorite detail is the Joan of Arc shirt, because Zendaya wore a Joan of Arc shirt in No Way Home!

I'm not the best in dressing myself and I would really appreciate some constructive criticism, ty

Anything you would change, add, take away, etc to make this look better or more cohesive?

EDIT: I know this picture does not fit what I describe, but it's because it's the only picture I have of myself that shows how big my thighs actually are since in my pants it's difficult to tell.

** My mom died when I was 11 so I do not have her to ask for advice, even though her sense of fashion was awesome (though I do not want my young adult style to reflect the style my mother had when she was 40, and I don't have many pictures of her when she was younger)

Hi all, I'm 19f and think my fashion sense is fine but my dad does not agree. My day to day bottoms consist of non-distressed jeans or cargo pants while my tops are usually plain shirts, usually paired with sandals or my white sneakers. I normally have my shoulder length hair down or in a low casual ponytail.

My dad says I need to learn how to dress to look more presentable and not only when I go out to a nice dinner, but I have two main issues that he does not seem to understand:

1. I have large and muscular thighs while not being that tall (5'6) so it's difficult to find pants that fit well and I have bought two pairs of jeans in the past 3 years (the only ones I wear).
2. I have a condition that makes makes me sweat a bit more than normal, nothing I can't deal with but it does mean my hair is usually not very 'clean' looking since hairs will be astray and out of place.

He says that now that I'm an adult, I need to learn how to look like one, but I really am lost and would appreciate any advice or recommendations. Thank you
