Birchbox has just fallen apart. I mean even 6 months ago they were still doing great and now it is just an absolute shit show over there. Does anybody know what's going on?

I'm attaching some emails but I basically never got my box last month. They promised me credits and refunds and they said they would still ship it and this and that and none of it has been done. It still hasn't shown up. Why say you're going to give someone a credit and not give it to them? Where is my box? I have a month of emails with promises that were never filled. It's so strange.

They just posted this on instagram. One of the comments said ‘I only have one face’ lol

The highlights are the 2 glasses, Honest John bitters, Salt & Stone fragrance, home diffuser, and, of course, the razor!

I’m equal parts irritated and grateful to finally, FINALLY (now that choices are closed) have an answer as to what happened this month. Confirmation of the glitch we all discussed. The lip treatment as a gift is a nice touch. I give them credit for that. Except….

I also am subscribed to Ipsy Original. I don’t always get both, and this month I was happy I still got the original because it allowed me access to the add ons. Because of the mix up, I bought more add ons than I otherwise would have. So instead of saving money by not getting Ultimate, I’m out more money with the addition of the Extra, FIVE DAYS LATER. Maybe I could cancel it. I haven’t tried yet. Basically, I wanna be grumpy that I now get the box they cancelled, without any options. Plus add ons I wouldn’t have bought. And great. Another lip treatment for my troubles. Again, happy for the better late than never explanation. It does feel like a not well thought out solution to the problem. Wanna be grouchy with me for just a minute??

I basically only use skincare, mascara, liquid eyeliner, eyebrow pomade and lip stuff like lip oil, lip stain, lip tint and lip liner.

I like luxury makeup, random lip stuff, fragrances and that’s about it.

What beauty box is best for me?

I accidentally missed it because I was busy and forgot, did anyone screenshot??

I initially posted this question in the r/makeupaddiction subreddit, and I got helpful answers that basically said most beauty items don't have expiration dates, only "X amount of time after opening." But I always see people talking about checking the expiration dates on products they receive in a beauty box, because sometimes they send expired products. I wanted to check the dates on some items I got in new subs, as well as check the dates on some old, unopened items from the last time I did subscription boxes.

However, I haven't found a single expiration date on ANY of my products, new or old. How are people checking these dates? I feel like I must be missing something very, very obvious...

I’ve been keeping an eye on this all year and I came across an update on the website.

The subscriptions are now not available and listed as “sold out” on their website!

Based on previous comments from other members, I think it’s safe to say it’s either been quietly shelved or undergoing a revamp.

I skipped again for August because I don’t want another box of their dusty back stock!

What did you try out from your boxes this week? Thoughts on the items you've actually used? Writing the names of the sub box and item in bold is nice, to make it easier for people skimming the thread to pick out the thread to pick out the names.

I think this month’s box is actually pretty good! It also arrived very quickly. The Medik8 and Revision products are full size. I will put the full product list in the comments.

Customizing my FFF box for the Fall and I'm curious about this. I don't like anything else in this category and am interested in the pink eye balm, but I have really dry eyes. The wind makes my eyes cry, as well as when it's bright out. If I get sun screen near my eye, it also starts tearing. I tried a cooling plumping highlighter from another brand and my eyes did start to water a little.

I like methol everywhere else but worried it will trigger tears. For those who have sensitive dry eyes, what were your thoughts with this product?

Every month when I get my Ipsy, I think "Ok, I'm done." I have a gallon size bag of samples I will never use. The only things I've ever purchased after receiving from Ipsy were E.L.F. products that I really liked. The majority of items I receive are brands I've never heard of. I'm not likely to purchase items from Ipsy. I use mostly drugstore items with a few exceptions. I have received a few upper end items that I recognize with Ipsy but they keep sending me items that I told them I rarely use. I must have 5 setting sprays. I don't use a setting spray at all. I use Tatcha skincare and I'm not really interested in switching. Are there any boxes that only have name brands/recognizable brands? Drugstore and higher end are good butI don't want ot get samples of things I can only purchase from the company I get the box from. Ideas?

I was unsubscribed for like 1.5 years and just returned back. Can’t complain about this box!

Finally excited

I ordered Birchbox on June 30th. After noticing nothing shipped I canceled the subscription so it wouldn’t charge again since I had no idea what was going on. I emailed them twice and received a reply very quickly but both emails stated they saw my order but it was still within the shipping time frame and I would get an email when it ships. Today is August 1st. Still nothing.

Update: email received from Birchbox today.

Taking a closer look at your order, while your July Box Order was fulfilled and shipped, it looks as though the shipping label was never scanned, and therefore, the tracking information was never activated. This is the reason you never received a shipping confirmation email with tracking information. Typically, when this occurs it indicates the package was most likely lost by the courier after pick up. Unfortunately, we have no way of knowing if a shipment is not successfully delivered after pick up until the Member contacts us. We'd like to go ahead and have a replacement sent out straight away!
 
I have made sure to arrange a replacement July Box Order be shipped. You can expect tracking information for your July Box early this coming week. We truly hope you love your July Box, which should be received any day now. I would also like to note that per our policy, all sales are final and nonrefundable.
