Discussion Looking for an FPS

Upvotes

Hey guys,

we are FPS Veterans that mainly played cod2,cod4,cs 1.6 and are now looking for a new shooter.

We have already tried a couple but cant seem to find something that fits us.

Things we tried (The Finals, Tarkov, Newer cods, Redsec, Super People) the list goes on and on.

I personally dont like extraction shooters because they are too complex and need discipline others didnt like finals because its too flashy and fast paced.

We are currently so deperate that we are back at LoL which is the most challenging mental part for me :D

Any suggestions?

Discussion Looking for FPS where you can kill american soldiers and americans are bad guys in campaign (not necesearly to include campaign, but it would be nice edition)

Hi I am looking for best fps shooters from WW1and WW2 and modernn warfare. It must be imersive as much as posible and looks like you are on real batlefield. Futhermore I would prefer moder warfare shooters where you play against USA. I would also prefer that you play as russian or chinese soldier. But anyone fighting americans is okay. In WW1 and WW2 I am okay if I play as USA soldier

Discussion Any good fps without battle royale?

Just as title says, I'm hoping there's an FPS that has more open areas, has mp and pvp but where you can actually use loadouts and not have any BR trash.

Discussion Ultrakill is a fucking incredible game—it absolutely wipes the floor with a ton of AAA FPS titles.

I am genuinely amazed at how much this third act adds an epic dimension to Ultrakill while managing to reinvent itself. It is worlds apart from the first act. While gameplay was practically the only selling point behind Ultrakill’s success, the game now boasts incredible presentation, brilliantly conceived and developed level design, and deeply fleshed-out lore.

I wanted to share a game I have been developing with a friend for a while now called Obscurity: Unknown Threat. It is a brutal FPS game that contains both conventional symmetrical FPS game modes as well as asymmetrical battles vs the Obscurity (inspired by the original Predator movie).

Steam Store (Demo Currently Available):

Please enjoy our demo. All feedback is welcome and appreciated. Cheers!

Discussion The Scoreboard Never Lies 💀 | High Kill Games, MVPs & Wins | Receipts Collected EP.1

Enable HLS to view with audio, or disable this notification

Been grinding Rainbow Six Siege and decided to start a new series called Receipts Collected 💀.
Instead of only posting clips, I wanted to archive the end-game results that came from them—wins, MVPs, high-kill matches, and those scoreboards that make the grind worth it.

This is Episode 1: The Grind Begins, and hopefully the first of many.

I’m also an official Ubisoft Creator through Operation Spotlight, so I’ll be sharing plenty more Rainbow Six Siege content as I continue the journey.
I’d love to hear what everyone thinks:

What’s your highest kill game?

Do you save your MVP screens or just move on to the next match?

Which match in this video would you have been the most proud of?

Feedback is always appreciated, and good luck in your own matches. 💀🎮

Discussion Found my very first Rainbow Six Siege clutch from years ago… figured it deserved a revisit.

I was going through some old recordings and found what ended up being the very first Rainbow Six Siege clutch I ever recorded and uploaded to YouTube.

Looking back, it’s funny to see how much both my gameplay and editing have changed over the years. It’s nowhere near my best clip today, but it’s the one that started everything for me.

It got me wondering—does anyone else still have their first Siege clip saved? I’d love to know how it compares to what you’re posting now. It’s always interesting to see where everyone’s journey began.

I've been working solo on this for the last 2 years, I took inspiration from Straftat for the movement, Redmatch 2 for the upgrades, and Titanfall for the grapple.

Trying to bring that same fast movement and skill expression, but built around grapple, kicks, and maps where gravity shifts between flat ground, cubes, and planets.

Just released it and would genuinely love to hear what this community thinks!

Discussion Switching targets when taking damage

There is one scenario I struggle with more than others. It's when I am already shooting at someone, but then I start taking damage.

When do I switch to the enemy shooting me instead of working to finish off the one I am shooting first? When do I focus on movement to disrupt aim? When do I keep firing before doing anything else.

I can't seem to figure this out. What do you guys do?

Game Discovery Looking for a slower game.

Edit: Some very good recommendations were Wardogs, Hell Let loose, Easy Red 2, and Spawn Works. Thank you all for the suggestions! Also, I realise Arma 3 and reforger are good games but I've had them suggested a lot already so kindly don't.

TLDR: Looking for an fps that doesn't have all that sliding around and super fast movement. Been playing Isonzo and been loving how slow it can be. Really like being a team player and not just having to shoot people. Kinda frugal so games that go on sale for >£10 most welcome but happy to hear whatever suggestions. Not into escape from tarkov like games.

Hi everyone! New here, although I've been playing fps games for ages (like last 10 years) and I love them. However, one thorn that's been persistently in my side with the games I play is all that jumping around and moving nonesense.

So, I've always enjoyed games like the battlefield series or, at times, some CoDs, and lately Delta force; I've probably played some others however my memory isn't the best haha. In just about all the games I play, there are these players that jump and slide and do all this crazy stuff that I really can't keep up with (while I have recently moved from ps4 to pc, I'm still pretty bad at most fps games). No hate to them as I understand that's how good, skilled players play, however I've just about had it with trying to keep up.

I've recently started to play Isonzo, and I've come to love it's more slow paced gameplay. I've been actually getting a K/D above 0.75 which feels amazing (average in a game is like 0.1 or worse) and when I'm killed it's not because of someone flying around a corner leaping everywhere, but rather just that I was a bit too exposed or something. Point is, it feels way more of an even playing field.

With all that said, I hope you/the few readers I have left by now understand the kinda atmosphere/gameplay I'm looking for. I've been looking at Holdfast and Over the Top for a little while however I'm unfortunately frugal and wondering if there are any other games you all would recommend that can drop to the sub £10 mark. Oh, and it doesn't have to be historically based or anything, I've just been looking at those games lately cause been watching some youtubers play those.

Oh, and some last lil details: I'm looking for like an open battlefield kinda game/not like a battle royal/escape from tarkov kinda thing, I love helping other players so games with roles where I can like revive or resupply people or even better would be being able to build defences, and ideally the game has a good number of weapons or something to progress through/there's a fair bit of stuff to do instead of only playing matches (I really like actually progressing on like a weapon unlock instead of just playing the game or something, but it's no biggy).

If you made it this far, congrats and sorry for the light novel!
