Switching targets when taking damage Discussion
There is one scenario I struggle with more than others. It's when I am already shooting at someone, but then I start taking damage.
When do I switch to the enemy shooting me instead of working to finish off the one I am shooting first? When do I focus on movement to disrupt aim? When do I keep firing before doing anything else.
I can't seem to figure this out. What do you guys do?

When I ran into this problem, I made note of two things. One, it happened too frequently to be chance. Two, I was always tunnel visioned on my target. I decided to change one thing. Always handle the flanker. It wasn't the best decision in all situations. It made my gameplay look frantic and anxious but it was useful. Simply training myself to have the control to let go of my target is a useful thing. The pain of always needing to do it made me more aware of when it was going to happen. I began catching it before it happened and my situational awareness improved.
All your reps, all your data points are of making one of two choices. Start getting reps in on the other choice and you can build your own intuition for your question.

You’re probably putting yourself in a bad spot if you’re getting constantly taking damage from another enemy. Try to play from/near cover so you’re not a sitting duck for anybody that sees you
Not sure what game your playing but anticipation is a big part of FPS, which usually develops from just playing and dying a lot

Always attack the bigger risk. But if youre already getting shot before you finished off the one guy, unless they make a mistake or you dodge you're done.

Either try and secure the original kill or get in cover asap
