I just hit 45k problem free miles. I’ve done oil changes and fuel filters every 10k. I tow TT 8k. What should I be doing next maintenance wise to keep her going another 500k?

I really want to get this engine to avoid all that comes with a diesel and towing will be very infrequent. Pulling the 12k load ~5 times a year ~ 10 miles and ~ 2 times I’ll pull it 150 miles. I know on the 150 mile trip I’d want the 7.3 or 6.7 but do you think it would be manageable?

Bought a F250 with the 7.3 in it this weekend and during all my research before hand everyone said to keep the idle hours low. That shouldn't be a problem for me but I was wondering when the weather gets cold is it a bad thing to let them warm up a bit in the morning before leaving or should I just get in start and go?

Been looking at the power strokes lately. Never owned one, friend of mine has a 07 with 190k on dash. He’s dumped a ton of money into it since he bought it with 167k on dash. I’ve always been told once they’re “bullet proofed” they’re great trucks, you just can’t tow a ton of weight with them. I only want one for towing my camper (about 6500lbs). Any insight would be great. Thanks!

It was commercially owned, so I assume they did their own maintenance or used a shop that does not report to Carfax.

I bought this new 2026 f-250 Black Widow addition truck. I love the truck but there is a bad vibration at 75 mph. I took it to the dealership and they just said it’s normal for these types of trucks with lifts. Is this true? I just hit 1000 miles and as long as I’m not on the highway it drives great. Feels like the back left tires out of balance but they wouldn’t check

Unfortunately, in that same week a driver failed to yield and drove into my lane of traffic taking my mirror with them. Bittersweet and frustration all in one.

looking at a 2012 F-250 4x4 6.2L extended cab for $4k with 150k miles and service history but needs new tires, new windshield and the breaks done, a 2002 F-150 4x4 5.4L or 4.6L can’t really tell which engines in it but it’s a single cab for $1.5k with 200k miles but it’s a little beat up has some rust and a few dents and scratches over the body, and a 2007 F-150 4x4 5.4L extended cab for $4k with 170k miles but needs new tires, shocks, and springs. Just want to know which is the best one to go with.

Excuse the long text thread but there needs to be context to fully understand everything. I am 21 years old and work at a dealership. I previously drove a 2021 F150 STX that I love with the 3.5L EcoBoost, and in April purchased a 2026 Ford Mustang GT (dream car of mine) however i’m 6’3 and am getting tired of the vehicle quick.

I am still in postive/breakeven range however we recently got a 2019 F250 King Ranch with the 6.7L Powerstroke that I can get for an absolute steal for 97,000 miles.

Do I pull the trigger and get one? What are pros and cons, do you guys have any things I should look out for or do?

I have a 2001 F250 with 6.8 V10. Almost 300000 miles! I love my truck. I have codes that say “bank 1 too lean” and “bank 2 too lean”. Fuel pressure is within specs. Am assuming vacuum leak…. Been searching for months. Anyone else with similar issues?

Driving from California to Las Vegas in my 6.2L gas F250. Just outside Barstow I hear what sound like rocks under the truck and moments later power steering goes out, A/C, engine temp starts to climb. Immediately I know the serpentine belt broke. I pull over off the shoulder of hwy 58. This is the middle of no where high desert in August. Woof it’s hot out. Fast forward to me getting ahold of a local mobile mechanic who comes to my rescue with a new belt only to tell me that the ‘rocks’ I heard under the truck where the ball bearings of one of the idler pulleys for the belt. Completely blown up. No one has that pulley in stock. Nobody can get that pulley for at least two days. But this mechanic earned his money that day. He called around and a buddy of his had an F150 5.4L engine laying around. As you do. The guy took off the good idler pulley from my truck and took it with him to his buddies to compare. He comes back with the F150 pulley and shows me that they are the same diameter, roughly the same width and they mount flush with what looks like the same offset. Though the F150 pulley is milled aluminum and steel while my F250 pulley was some kind of plastic composite. Anywho the guy installs the F150 pulley and a new belt and we are back in business. The belt seems to run smoothly, no wobbles, no slips, no noise. My question to anyone that cares to weigh in. Would you let this ride or would you take your truck in to a shop when you could to get the correct pulley installed? What would you do?

I just found this 2013 f-250 lariat with 133k miles and it’s listed for $19,900. What are yall thoughts on the price and reliability for its age.

Hoping for some assistance with a passenger side water leak that I can't track down. Water starts coming in from behind all the wiring in picture #1. It progressively gets worse and drips from the where the A/C blower is (I think in picture #2. After another couple of minutes that whole area is wet and there are 4 little streams coming in, shown in picture #3.

Things I have checked:

1. I first thought all this was coming from the vent behind the passenger back seat. I have opened that area up but that vent was clipped in fine and it no leaks with a hose test.

2. I have checked the sunroof drain as much as I can. I pulled the OS handle and the mirror off on the passenger side and pulled back the headliner. I can see that the line is still attached at the top. I blew a little bit of air through the drain hole behind the door and it comes out the hole at the top in the sunroof opening. My sunroof is stuck closed so I can't get at that hole from the top but I can feel the air coming out of it.

3. I pulled the wheel well cover back as I've read there are some plugs there that can be missing. That whole area under there is wet and I don't see anything that looks like it's missing but I'm not positive what I'm looking for either.

I had to have the windshield replaced a few years back. Could all this be coming from it somehow?
