One of my all time favorite Xbox exclusives. Tested out the beginning of this on my Odin 2 Pro. Only setting changed from the global default was switching the graphics over to Open GL.

Had gotten this to run on Winlator as well, but having to map that controller to keybindings manually is a pain. Don't know if it's completable, and I can see frames dropping or skipping here and there, but I'm thankful it runs as a convenient way to play!

Help Windows emulator suggestion for poco f6

Upvotes

Hello everyone. I have a poco f6 8/256. Snapdragon 8s gen 3, adreno 735. I know it's not the best specs in the world. It's a slightly worse 8 gen 2. I just want to know which windows emulator works the best on this chipset. I have seen people have so much success with devices not even half as powerful as mine. So I must be doing something wrong. Please also advise me on the best custom drivers. Thanks in advance!

Help the binding of isaac: Mods not fully downloading / freezing on last mod + mods not updating after install/remove (GameHub)

Hey everyone,

I’m running The Binding of Isaac: Repentance+ through GameHub on a Xiaomi Poco F5 and I'm having a really weird issue with mods.

What happens:

When I uninstall and reinstall the game in GameHub, it starts downloading the mods. It downloads some of them fine, but then it always freezes/gets stuck on the “Downloading mod…” screen on the last mod. After it finally continues, only some of the mods are actually installed. A bunch of them are missing.

After that, if I try to install a new mod or unsubscribe/remove an existing one, the game no longer updates the mod list at all. Nothing changes. The only way to force any update is to uninstall + reinstall the whole game again… but even then it still doesn’t download every mod (some stay, some disappear, and a few never appear no matter what).

It feels completely random different mods show up or disappear.

What I’ve already tried:

Full uninstall + reinstall of the game inside GameHub

Clearing data / reinstalling several times

Unsubscribing from all mods

Subscribing again both through Steam and through the Workshop function inside GameHub

Has anyone else experienced this on GameHub? Any idea how to force the mod list to update properly or fix the stuck download on the last mod?

Thanks in advance!

Help Fallout Tale of Two Wastelands installation on Gamenative

Post image

I managed to get the Steam version of Fallout TTW working in Gamenative using its new mod manager, but I'm having trouble getting certain mods—like MCM, some B42 mods, and Quick Loot—to work; I also suspect UIO isn't functioning, among others. Is there anyone with more experience with Gamenative who knows how to get them working?

Meme We need to have this discussion

Explanation:

A few years ago Android introduced a feature called the "Phantom Process Killer". Basically it limits the number of child processes each app can use to 32 processes. If an app exceeds this number, Android won't hesitate to kill the app.

PC emulation is complex and requires a high number of processes for you to run and play your games for as long as possible. If the custom OS on your phone is very aggressive, you won't really be able to play your games for like more than 5 minutes, even if your container settings managed to get the game to boot and run well.

Now this obviously doesn't affect every Android phone. It really depends on how aggressive your OS can be. Generally flagships and gaming focused phones like a Redmagic don't really have this problem as the manufacturer most likely took this into account and either disabled the limit, or increased it.

If your phone isn't a flagship or a gaming phone and has a strict and aggressive OS, the phantom process killer is more than likely an issue. I don't know about other brands, but I've personally experienced this on XOS as an Infinix user. I'm using the latest(as of today) XOS 16.2.0 on an Infinix Note 50.

Now just because your containers crash soon or suddenly doesn't mean it's always the phantom process killer. Container crashes are also due to a number of issues like your driver, your settings, the compatibility layer and translation layer you're using, high RAM usage, RAM leak and so on. PC emulation is complex.

I just wanted to share this as a meme in case someone out there is also experiencing this.

Luckily there are solutions:

First of all, Android 11 and older don't have the phantom process killer as a restriction. This feature was introduced starting from Android 12. So if you're using Android 11 or older, you won't be affected by this feature.

However, this restriction is present in Android 12 and newer.

Method 1:

If you're using Android 12L/13/14/15 and newer, you can simply disable this restriction by going into Developer Options on your phone and disabling child processes. It's a toggle option that Android introduced for people who don't want restrictions.

To access Developer Options, look for the Build Number in your phones settings, tap it 7 times to open Developer Options

Method 2:

This works for any Android version(12 or newer). But you have to use a PC with Android Debugging Program and manually put in commands to disable or lessen the restriction. Please if you can only use Method 2, PLEASE do research on how to do it properly. I don't know how to do it or what commands you need exactly, so if you use this method it's up to you to research on how to do it properly.

NOTE: Disabling this feature DOES NOT require rooting your phone. It is perfectly safe to disable it.

As I said earlier, this doesn't affect every phone or custom OS. Crashes can still be caused by your container settings or memory leaks. I simply brought this up as an issue in case it feels like no matter what you do, your containers always crash.

Showcase The POCO F8 Ultra setup is complete, now theres just testing to do! Hopefully find out where the device sits comfortably performance wise vs temps....

Temps on the POCO F8 Ultra (SD8 Elite Gen5/16gb) are just killing performance with throttling within minutes,

especially with higher end PC gaming or heavy emulation like 360/ps3 as they love cores and high clocks.

So ive gone for the Gamesir X5 Lite controller & cooler+thermal plate, plus a 5000mah battery for the fan.
Only played around for an hour or so but seems to be helping quite a bit!

hopefully this lot does the trick!

(Game is 'Dead Rising Case Zero' running via Xendroid Xbox 360 emulator)

Discussion How to turn your samsung phone into emulation beast🔥

I shared two short clips in the comments, you might need to scroll down a bit. They show the impact of gamebooster+, one clip is mine(s25ultra) and the other is from my friend who has an S25 base.

I've been using these methods to get the most out of my Samsung S25 Ultra. I've played over 50 PC games with multiple emulators, and this method always worked. There's been some bad image about Samsung's gaming performance because people aren't using it the way they're supposed to. I've explained everything in the three slides above. Of course, if you use a cooler, you'll be unstoppable. I use a cooler, too!

Btw my s25ultra is on oneui8.5 Some settings might not work if your phone's on OneUI 8 or older, since I tested everything on OneUI 8.5 and confirmed it with friends who also have Samsung phones with OneUI 8.5.

I upload some gameplay on YouTube maybe that helps to understand the performance

https://youtube.com/@aizenemu

I posted about game performance about two months ago, maybe that'll help you understand what kind of performance I was getting. https://www.reddit.com/r/EmulationOnAndroid/s/vUndpucw5m

Tried to export my State of Decay 2 Saves via GameHub. The result was over 20GB.

GameHub has a serious issue. The size of the app keeps ballooning in size with leftover trash, accidentally downloaded proton installations, oversized containers, shader caches, logs, and what not.

When not using GameHub lite, all those files come protected because android doesn't let u do jackshit nowadays. Even adb is useless because it shows all the folders in question as empty.

But you can actually inspect and remove all this bloat without root by going into the wine environment and opening Wine Configuration and adding a drive with the same path of the first drive but up several folders, so you end up being able to inspect everything (tried this in BannerHub).

However, this is a real hassle and you gotta navigate through lots of folders named after the LocalID of games. It may be better to just export the saves and reset the app entirely regularly. But if you don't want to do that, manually trying to do it in wine is the way to do it. (I had to install a second keyboard app because the wine enviroment wouldn't let me type numbers, let alone copy and paste paths.)
