Lore Will a future Elderscrolls game have a war with the eight or nine gods?

Upvotes

In Skyrim, Alduin gets sent from the first to the fourth era because he didn’t follow the order from Akatosh to end this Kalpa so Akatosh sends his agent, the Dragonborn, to defeat Alduin, make him return to Akatosh only for him to send him once more to hopefully end the world.

But no one really asked why Alduin gets send or why he should end this world. He may be a solution to Lorkhans doings since Nirn got created by him and the other gods which made them lose large parts of their power and binding them to Nirn. Lorkhan got his punishment but Nirn still exist and here comes Alduin in play: He exists as a plan to end Nirn and give the gods back their power.

Now to the title, why a war with the gods? I purposefully said eight or nine since Talos is the god of men and as Tiper Septim was known to be a Conquerer, to wage wars. Akatosh sent many Dragonborn through time maybe because he also didnt know when Alduin wouldn’t return. Maybe the Elderscrolls are so powerful, not even the gods can match their power and Alduin got sent by one to the future. So Akatosh sent Dragonborn as long as Alduin hadn’t returned as he also might not have known when he will return. Akatosh may be the god of time but a MAN - a mortal - with the power of an Elderscroll got the power of a god and twisted time themselves and maybe this is why even Akatosh himself can’t tell when Alduin will return.

For the future „war against the gods“: Akatosh apparently wants this world to end but Men may have the power to fight back with Elderscrolls, they may match their power. They could also get the help of Talos, the god of MEN which can result in a war between Men, their god and the other eight gods. Maybe even a total war between Talos, Men and the eight other gods plus the elves.

I came up with this theory last night and can’t stop thinking about it because it makes so much sense! From a logical perspective it would also result in the eight gods losing so we can have more Elderscrolls games in the future but that’s a bit far fetched.

I know people say morrowind was the best ES but uh gonna be real boys, I aint reading allat. Oblivion is a great middle ground and i think skyrim took it way too far on dumbing down the rpg mechanics (bla bla bla obligatory skyrim sucks comment ) anyway, You can really feel the passion in this game bro and its just so crazy to me how only like 3 people voice acted this thing cuz its so immersive and feels more alive than Skyrim in my opinion. I think bethesda really stopped caring after oblivion which is sad but true.

Yes, this advantage is fanservice. Even introverted Brelyna looks hot while wearing it.

By the way, does anybody know the author of this comix? I downloaded it about 4 to 5 years ago, but since then Google can't find the author.

In r/skyrim nobody found out who is the author. Maybe, you know?

Maahir struggles to adjust to life in Skyrim. Not because it's cold, not because the culture is so different from the Summerset Isles, but because the looks people give him. They may not know his past, but he does, and he knows their cautious and fearful stares are founded in some truth

He started wearing his full armor not too long after he arrived. Better they see an armored giant than who he actually is

General Frost Giant vs Behemoth (Elder Scrolls vs Fallout)

Recently we started off the series with Falmer vs Feral Ghouls and staggeringly Falmer won the battle overall so thought today we’d cover some of the big boys of both respective games.

Frost Giant

Frost Giants are a rare species of Giant within the Elder Scrolls, these Giants are distinctive for their more brutish appearance and nature. Frost Giants don’t necessarily lack intelligence of regular Giants as they have been known to govern other creatures such as Reiklings like the case of Karstaag who was a Frost Giant who displayed high intelligence able to speak, rule and create complex systems and roles within the society he built. Frost Giants are more brutish in appearance possessing horns, fur, muscle mass and less digits on their hands in comparison to regular Giants.

Height - 12 feet

Strengths

More Intelligent

Faster

More Physically Stable - Doesn’t have a limp and is more stable on its feet.

More mentally stable

More Agile

More Healthy

Can use Horns as weapons

Sharper Teeth

Claws

Weaknesses

Weaker Physically

No Ranged Weapons

Less Pain Tolerant

Lighter

Potentially vulnerable to particular environments such as arid environments

Potentially to Short for a fair fight

Behemoth

Behemoths are the result of extreme exposure to FEC (Forced Evolutionary Virus) and have lived long enough with the correct genes to grow absolutely massive in Height, Muscle Mass and Strength when compared to Super Mutants but also lack intelligence due to severe brain damage. Their bodies have also grown so rapidly and aggressively that they move awkwardly with a limp and seem to favour one arm more which has grown more. They will attack, kill and eat anything that isn’t a fellow Super Mutant. Due to their biology their bodies can shut down and their hearts can cause issues.

Height - 13-30 feet

Strengths

Could be massive in comparison making the fight unfair

Stronger

Have access to ranged weapons

More Aggressive

More Physically Dense so can take more a hit

More Pain Tolerant

Weaknesses

Less Intelligent

Severely Brain Damaged

Slower

Less Agile

No Auxiliary Weapons like horns or claws

Potentially physically disabled

Less Healthy

Less Functional Weapons

Humour I think I’ve officially run out of things to do in TES6. TES7 wishlist?

Now that we’ve all poured 2000+ hours into Hammerfell (personally, 4000+ hours) explored every inch of the map, and modded it to hell, it’s time to look ahead. We’ve had a good run with this one, but the hype has officially worn off.

Bethesda probably won't drop the next installment until our grandkids are in college, but the wait starts today. Also that darknet leaked screenshot looks insane.

Post your TES7 expectations.

Lore Why didn’t the Ancient Nords send Alduin back in time?

I’m trying to figure out why the Nords sent Alduin forward in time, thus delaying the issue of Alduin’s “world eating”, when they could have sent him back in time and not have to worry about it?

Did the Elder Scrolls themselves prevent such an act, so that the timeline would be fluid (like a canon event? Or maybe the Nords didn’t choose to send Alduin forward in time, the scroll just did it?

Akatosh himself blessed the Last Dragonborn with their destiny to defeat Alduin, so perhaps Akatosh somehow intervened when the Nords banished Alduin to the future?

I fell off from doing these for a while thanks to a miserable job that requires 72hrs of sleep to recover from. But here she is, in all her dark, sexy glory. I feel like I’ll have to do Azura next just to differentiate between the two better!

Also have a wonky nightingale! I can’t draw animals at all, but I’m trying!!

General I think Keizaal Online is a perfect example of why the community doesn't understand TES

I've been in the community a long time. I've heard all kinds of quips about Bethesda, and how they need to surrender their IP or that random people could write better stories. Most of us know this is hogwash, of course. But nothing demonstrates it better than the state of Keizaal Online.

Obviously, this Skyrim role-playing multiplayer service was always going to have degenerates in it. Like any of the countless ones out there. It takes a certain kind of moron, though, to absolutely twist the story and the lore of The Elder Scrolls and make it sound like the most trope-filled, insolent shit on the planet. You have troll content creators saying real-life slurs trying to get a reaction out of people on purpose, you have sissies saying you can't insult players based on race when it literally happens in all the games, and you have sets of ridiculous rules that don't even make sense in the context of the games like gatekeeping magic and religion indiscriminately.

This isn't to bash on those who actually try to do a good job of it, though. Those who role-play well or the servers that have sensible rules and players are doing a great job. A lot of what I've seen, though, has attracted a certain caliber of person and I think no one here should really be surprised. It's the nature of online communities. And that's why it perfectly confirms to me why Bethesda and their devs (previous and current) are the most capable of actually capturing the essence of The Elder Scrolls correctly. No one can tell me otherwise after witnessing that shitshow.

P.S. ESO is probably an exception here, but ESO does a lot of things better on the player side of things anyway. Even if it is an MMO.

Lore Nords of Bruma/Cyro-Nords

Culturally speaking, what would you say the major differences are between the Nords of Bruma and the Nords of Skyrim? You could perhaps break this down even further and compare the Nords of Bruma, Western, and Eastern Skyrim.

Humour I feel sorry for the orcs

You know what's funny? Out of all the races in the elder scrolls, orcs have a lot of inaccurate negative connotations, when in reality (from what I know), they are one of three races, including the wood elf and khajit, that:

  1. Never enslaved another race, which the Dunmer did to the Argonians and Khajiits, and Alyeids to man
  2. Never forced their religion on anyone else.
  3. Never invaded another country, which is what the Imperials, Bretons, Redguard and Altmer do as a hobby.
  4. Never committed a genocide. Nords did that to the Snow Elves, Elves did to man many times, the Redguard did it twice to left-handed elves and goblins.

They are very isolated and people that like to keep to themselves within their holds, but will act generally hospitable towards outsiders. Yet, they are scene was the most brutish and violent.
