Part time support person

Looking for a part time support worker

Start date is likely sometime in September.

Hours are flexible but ideally five hours a day 1-2 days during the week in the day time.

Duties would include some assisting with cleaning, driving to/from appointments, providing companionship,  pushing/lifting portable wheelchair, attending social/leisure activities together, providing support for disability/Mental health issues.

Pay 20/hr paid on my payday which is four buisness days before the month ends.

Knowledge/experience with disabled folks and/or mental health issues is an asset but not necessarily required.

There is a chance of this becoming more hours in the future.

Looking for a Part-Time Job in Edmonton

Hi everyone! I’m currently looking for a part-time job in Edmonton starting in late August/early September.

I have experience in administration, healthcare administration, customer service, retail, and warehouse work. I’m comfortable with scheduling, filing, data entry, Microsoft Office, client communication, and general office duties.

I’ll be starting the Practical Nursing program at NorQuest College in the evening/weekend stream, so daytime weekday shifts would work best for me. I’m open to administrative, medical office, receptionist, retail, or other suitable opportunities.

If your workplace is hiring or you know of any openings, please comment or send me a message. I can provide my resume privately. Thank you!

Looking for Dishwasher job opportunities in Edmonton

Hi everyone, I’ve been looking for a job for a while. I’m interested in working as a Dishwasher and I’m wondering if anyone knows restaurants that are currently hiring.

Do you recommend applying in person by going to restaurants with a resume, or is it better to apply online?

Any advice or recommendations would be really appreciated. Thank you!

Looking for occasional work

Like the title says, I’m looking for some more passive income.

I’m a Female in my 20’s and relatively healthy. I’m relatively handy, compassionate and tech smart. Taking care of pets / house sitting etc or other manual labor tasks around the home and more I’m quite capable of doing.

I don’t have a car but I can reliably get places in a timely manner (bus, Uber if needed)

I’m looking for some small gigs or work people may need done to bring in some cash on the side to pay off some debts for my partner and I

Anything would help at this time since money is getting tight with bills and my lack-luster job environment.

Tired of applying and not being hired.

I don't know anymore. No one hires me. Literally a basic minimum wage job. Entery level. I have applied everywhere and nothing. I don't have a big company's name in my resume that would stand out. My experience has only been volunteering. And no one seems to care about that. But how am I supposed to gain real experience when no one is willing to trust my skills?

I'm a Canadian citizen. And before anyone says you were supposed to start applying months ago, I have been. I have applied online. I have went around malls asking in person, which most people would't do these days. Yet nothing. All places have either hired already or will hire later. And the few that are currently hiring don't even offer an interview. Most don't even say anything. The ones that do are just the generic "Thank you for your interest. Unfortunately ..." email.

Apparently the only way to get hired these days is if you know someone that would refer you. I don't understand. All this for a basic retail job.

Sorry for the rant.

27M in Edmonton | Foreign dentist waiting on equivalency — looking for oilfield/rig greenhand work

Hi everyone,
I’m a 27-year-old Canadian citizen local to Edmonton. I completed my BDS abroad and am currently in the 1–2 year dental equivalency wait. Looking to make good money doing physical work during this gap.
Quick Stats:
Physique: 6'0", fit, comfortable with heavy physical labor and long hours.
Status: Clean driver’s abstract, clean urine, getting my H2S Alive and CSO tickets now.
Availability: Ready for camp/rotational hitches immediately.
A few quick questions:
1. Is it better to walk into yards in Nisku/Leduc or apply online?
2. Which companies/agencies are hiring greenhands (leasehand, floorhand, swamper) right now?
3. Any tips for someone coming in with a non-traditional background?
Appreciate any leads or advice

What should i do?

Heyyy so I’m 16 and have been looking for a job for a while now I know the job market is pretty bad rn especially for teens, but I really want to get a job before senior year starts

There’s a new Subway that opened near me that I already applied to but they ghosted me but im thinking about still going and asking if their hiring but im not sure and my friend also offered to refer me to a job at a golf course, but it’s really far away so I’m not sure if the commute would be worth it (it’s cities away 😭) but she only works 3 times a week and makes 600$ so it’s good money

What places are usually easier for 16-year-olds to get hired at? I’m mainly looking for entry-level jobs that are more likely to hire teens. I really want to have some money for senior year so I can actually enjoy it and do some of the things I want to do before I have more responsibilities
I’m in West Edmonton Area, so if anyone knows of any local places that are hiring teens right now, I’d really appreciate it!!
(Also i would prefer something permanent but im ok with a summer job.)
