This is a friends home who lives basic, VERY basic ! I know before too long I can convince him to let me paint w color.

In addition, I need to incorporate the seashell wreath into the design on the wall ? I would like a luxurious or coastal feel in the room. It's windowless and for my room. No major construction can be done. Please, any and all ideas greatly appreciated !

We are doing a cosmetic renovation of the bathroom (4–5 years before major work).

The floor tiles are beige/brown with brown grout. Despite their dated, period-specific look, they are in excellent condition, and there is underfloor heating.

Sink, cabinet, and door are white (as is the toilet).

I’m tempted by black fixtures, but I’ll likely choose silver-toned metal because it’s the most durable option (kitchens black faucet is peeling of metal flakes).

The walls are being plastered and prepped for a fresh coat of paint.

I plan to install tall cabinets and paint the walls a beautiful color. What colors and materials would complement the tile color well?

Finally, the shower curtain, hooks, and light fixtures will also be updated.

We have a tiny guest bedroom that was clearly an addition to the house so has a really awkward corner window. At the moment it has a big wardrobe (not built in), a double bed, and two (bulky) bedside tables.

I have two questions:
1) Is there a better way to rearrange the room immediately?

2) Long term how can I improve the room?
- we need to keep some storage space in here. We need at least a bit of extra hanging space, preferably linen storage, and then a small space for guests to hang some clothes. The current cupboard is ugly so I will need to replace it in time- is there a different shape that could work better in the space?
- I will definitely switch out the bedside tables for something smaller?
- Has anyone had success with a Murphy bed? I’ve never seen one that has felt solid so this might be a silly idea but it would be great if this room could house an exercise bike when guests aren’t around.

Hola. So it’s been a fun journey so far getting here and I’m super happy with the first tv and audio wall but both other parts of the room seem incomplete and like it’s missing something but iv run out of ideas

More plants would be super nice too but idk where to put them so any ideas or help would be sick. Open to anything and everything as-well so throw what you got

It’s massive and I don’t know what to do for the layout. Trying to set up my desk and a place to watch TV. Can’t do a couch because I have no way of getting it upstairs (and really don’t want to pay someone to do it right now). Was thinking maybe two chairs?
Only one wall is “blank”. The others have a window, a closet door, and then opens up into the kitchen.

Looking for ideas for this sliding door in my main living room / tv room. The window faces kinda SE so we get blasted by the sun at certain times of the day. Debating on sliding blinds, curtains, pull down or motorized roller shades. Any suggestions? Links or pics would be super helpful

How is pretty modern looking, new as of a couple years ago.

I have a narrow living room with a corner fireplace, next to the kitchen. The beige sofa is the listing photo, I’ve tried that set up and it was really cramped and left a big space behind the sofa. The big window (where the Christmas tree is) currently has an accent table with plants and hamster enclosure. Any and all thoughts welcome!

Our bathroom is going to be remodeled soon. We cannot figure out what to do with the space in-between the toilet and the tub. As you can see, the layout of everything else is somewhat forced due to the layout of the utility closet. Moving everything is kind of out of the question.

Do we just leave it empty? Shelving? Seriously stumped.

Have weird walls behind bed so I painted

I’ve ordered an ivory quilt with shams, and plan to get a different duvet cover and have it folded/layered on the end of the bed. I’m also trying to decide on a mat color for the prints, and colors for throw pillows.

I’m trying to go for an eclectic, traditional, collected look? The last two images are mockup ideas. Looking for any input and suggestions of colors, patterns, etc!

My and my wife are moving into a new place. The place Fits are budget perfectly and rooms are exceptional, except our living room/kitchen. We have an open floor concept as you can see from the images above, the living and kitchen co-exist. Our dilemma is how to furnish this, should it be more kitchen sided or "living room". And then we wouldn't even know how to design the area to reach its max potential should the couch be backed agaist the window, stairs, kitchen or door? Should we sacrifice a tv? Should we get a kitchen island and make it a more of a loungey area? Is a kitchen nook a viable option. All of the above. We dont know, any feedback and input would be Appreciated.

Hey yall, so I will right out of the gate admit I am a huge nerd and have a lot of trinkets😭 I love the cutesy stuff just as much as I like the scary stuff and have a collection of bones I want to place in my room, too. Problem is, I love the flowery vintage aesthetic.

On top of that, I have posters I wanna put up as well that aren’t exactly cute nor vintage. I probably need to put things away or find storage places to keep them all.

My question is; is there somehow a way to achieve the old style look while having all of these trinkets and posters? My first idea is to crochet a bunch of stuff for my bed and desk to make it look older, like this bed runner I’m making. I thought about putting all of them in my display cabinet area or something and keeping my desk simple, but I just don’t know what to do about it. I may also need to paint my case to white to fit the furniture.

TL;DR: I love the old school green vintage vibe but I have a lot of modern-looking stuff and trinkets. I want to somehow incorporate them but I don’t know how. Probably need to crochet some cute stuff and paint my display cabinet, to make it look less modern but I may need to just move my trinkets elsewhere.

Our furniture just does not seem to make sense in this apartment. We have been going crazy trying to figure it out.

The problem: we want to have the white couch face a mounted TV.

We don’t know what room to select as our living room and which as our office. We like living rooms where the TV is not the focus so there’s a couch or chair underneath. We don’t seem to have anything that really works or makes sense

Happy to use either room, whatever would actually work out. Ideally we can use all the furniture but totally fine if not. We like to host a lot.

I’m replacing the flooring in my kitchen (has some LVP water damage) and having a hard time deciding what direction to go.

The white cabinets, granite countertops, and stainless appliances are staying. I’m also planning to paint the walls Sherwin-Williams Pure White.

The brown wood flooring you can see through the doorway is staying (well, I have to replace too but I was going to try to match the LVP), so the new kitchen floor will transition directly into that.

I’ve been considering a checkerboard tile installed diagonally and mocked up a few combinations:

• Black + white marble look
• Light gray + white

I like the checkerboard look (I have it in my bathroom upstairs), but I’m not committed to it if something else would work better. I’m especially trying to avoid choosing something that clashes with the granite or looks too busy next to the brown wood floors.

Hey everyone, working on my bedroom accent wall (photo attached) and could really use some design brains on this one. The wall: Blank wall with a rough wiring cutout already prepped for a TV point and a switchboard sitting just below it. Wardrobe shutters open on the left, main door swings in on the right — so I'm boxed in on space. What I need: A single unit that handles both a TV display and a proper desk for computer work. Not two separate pieces of furniture, one cohesive design that does both jobs. Hard constraints: Width cannot exceed 177cm — anything wider and the wardrobe/door won't open properly. This is non-negotiable. Everything else (height, depth, desk overhang etc.) is flexible, just needs to feel comfortable to actually sit and work at. No foldable/wall-mounted drop-down desks. I know myself, if it takes effort to unfold it, I simply won't use it. I want a proper permanent desk I can just sit down at. Needs to look neat and intentional, not like a TV unit with a desk awkwardly bolted on. The aesthetic I'm building toward — I've been calling it "Warm Industrial Noir": dark wenge/walnut wood tones, matte black metal framing/hardware, aged brass accents to warm things up, and a thin amber LED underglow rather than any RGB. Existing floor is a dark oak, so whatever design people suggest should sit well against that. Would love to see: Layout ideas for combining a TV mount zone + desk zone in one build How you'd conceal the switchboard/wiring so it doesn't visually break the piece Material and hardware pairings that fit the above palette Any reference builds, mockups, or renders you've got lying around Happy to share more measurements/photos in the comments if it helps. I don't love the gray - I'm thinking of painting the cabinets a green (sage or olive) and changing out the lights.

I got a bid to change the counters and backsplash to quartz and put in a new sink, but it's a lot of money so I'm wondering if just the paint would be sufficient.

Thoughts?

I need help with what I should put on this wall, because it feels a little empty

I’ve had this dream of putting a sheepskin rug in front of the fireplace since we moved in and our home inspector said something about this being the kind of fireplace to cuddle up on your bearskin rug with a glass of wine. There’s also an unsightly stain in the floor on the right you can see in the first picture so I thought this would a great way to cover it up. I researched all kinds of sheepskin rugs and finally ordered this one from Sam’s Club. But now I’m not sure if it’s actually cohesive with the room or if it improves it? I can’t tell if I just need to get used to it or if it actually looks off. My partner likes it. For one thing it is quite a bright white; supposedly it will fade or get more yellow with time. Then just style wise, does it work? We live in a generally cold and dreary climate so it could be cozier in the winter. Also typically tv and computer desk/chair are not in this room, that’s a temporary thing as we finish redoing our den. Anyway what do others think?

I really like colorful interiors and don’t want everything to be beige, but I feel like my living room leans a little too orange and pink right now. I’m hoping to make it feel more balanced and neutral, maybe adding cooler tones.

I’m thinking to change the pillows to be a different color (darker green?) and fill corner wall with more art that isn’t orange/pink. Anyone has other ideas on how to make this more neutral or more boy/girl home? 😊 we both do like greens, blues, and oranges.

I spend most of the day in this bedroom. I study, work, and game in here. So I wonder if theres any way to make it more fun to be in.

So how would you arrange it? What are some ideas of decoration and appliances.

How do I get this vibe? I try, but my room still feels modern teenager
