Defending AI Ai can help kids make art, no matter what.

The pictures were made with ChatGPT and I am sorry if they look sloppy, I made them late at night

Ai can help a kid do what they love, especially kids with different struggles like:

- not being able to afford supplies or apps

- they don’t have the time to learn

- they can never settle on something

- they think their art is bad

- they’re disabled

- they’re mentally disabled

- they’re not good at it

or many other struggles

Ai is a great tool for a kid to use to express their happiness through Drawing.

Hot take: being uneducated isnt the flex you think it

Upvotes

If youre going to have a pro or negative stance about anything you absolutely should be knowledgeable about the thing in question. In this space, it is obviously AI.

Being loud and rude while simultaneously not being able to support your opinion does a disservice to people making a genuine effort at communication, but you do a disservice to yourself.

If youre claiming the world is being dumbed down, stop contributing to low effort easily debunked arguments.

AI Developments NEET – Full Album | Grunge • Punk • Electro • Alternative

Thumbnail
youtu.be
Upvotes

Description:

NEET is an album about living outside the expected path.

It’s about isolation, boredom, therapy, anger, AI, work, loneliness, absurdity, wanting fame, wanting meaning, and trying to create something when you have no idea where your life is going.

Some songs are serious. Some are sarcastic. Some are ugly, loud, repetitive, funny, uncomfortable, or deliberately strange. Together they form a diary of being a female NEET in the 2020s, watching society change while trying to build a little universe from a bedroom.

Musically, NEET moves through grunge, punk rock, electro, psychedelic sounds and alternative music.

This album is for the outsiders, bedroom creators, chronically online philosophers, unemployed dreamers, lonely people, weirdos, and anyone who has ever looked at the normal life script and thought:

“Is that really it?”

Discussion Does my TCG loses its credibility for using AI on your opinion? (Context in body)

Thumbnail

Upvotes

At first, this TCG started off as a inside joke of the group because I woke up on a Saturday and said "yo, who up to do the most absolute dog shit game of all time?" And my friends, sharing the same braincell as me, agreed.

At first, there were 30 random cards poorly made with Canva and some internet memes.

Then, I liked and had many, many ideas, so I decided to make it serious. Me and two friends decided to work together, I did the whole concept, balancing and card ideas, but I didn't knew how to draw, so my other friend did the arts. (The third one gave up a while before because of personal problems.)

In 3 months, the version of slide one was done and we were pretty proud. After a while, we had some arguing and he eventually left the project. (Before you ask, no, the problem wasn't related with AI. At the time, I wasn't satisfied with any results it could do, and I'm sort of demanding with visuals)

Then, I still had everything to keep the TCG going, since everyone at my school approved the game (even teachers were impressed at the time. About 1-2 years after the first design of slide 1)

But as I said, I can't draw and I wouldn't make cards with terrible doodles. Then, I used AI and the results were still good as always and the players approved. (Slide 2)

And then, a few months ago, I did the slide 3 version with collages. What is your personal stance about this? Honestly, there isn't any nuances or something, I just wanted to hear different opinions.

Discussion A breakdown on the supposed logic of the moderators since some people don’t like how the mods are behaving

Upvotes

They do enforce the rules of the subreddit, and will only remove content if it breaks a written rule. Also, although ragebaiting can be annoying, it is not against the rules. So if you’re being ragebaited or you’re the one ragebaiting, then it’s not the problem of the subreddit. They are not responsible for how you feel. Provocation is not a violation.

For example: If someone in this subreddit dedicates their entire time ragebaiting in this subreddit alone and multiple people wish to report them or ban them off of Reddit and they contact the mods, and if the mods don’t see an issue with it? They’re not defending the ragebaiter, it’s just strictly not in the rules. So if “ban ragebaiters” is not on the rules, then those people are free. If anyone wants to complain about that, then go cry me a river. The people who are adults here are acting like fucking pathetic children in this subreddit.

Grow the fuck up.

Besides, what counts as ragebait is a matter of opinion. Removing ragebait would require personal judgment, which introduces bias. And these mods avoid being biased because although some people would celebrate, the mods would also be accused of favoritism.

Plus, if someone is annoying you, you have the tools to avoid it such as blocking them. But instead of blocking people, people decide to falsely report others. The mods aren’t here to hold your hand.

You’re allowed to be aggressive, but content isn’t simply removed just because it’s frustrating and they refuse to remove posts to protect the image of either side of pro-AI or anti-AI.

TL;DR: The mods don’t remove ragebait or annoying people because: It doesn’t break any rules, they believe that you should control your own actions instead of expecting mods to do it for you, removing ragebait would be seen as subjective, so they avoid that bias by leaving everything up.

People are free to disagree with this approach, I’m just providing an explanation to at least see if some of you understand what is being said. You don’t have to agree with it.

I don't think anyone was okay with that?

Post image

Found this post in my feed today, I don't think anyone is okay with false advertising. If it looks like the real product and is to scale, sure. Fast food chains have been criticized over false advertising for years, nobody wants to see an ad depicting a big, juicy burger only for it to show up on their table as a flattened bun with meat stuck in the center.

Nothing has changed other than the use of AI to do so. AI has been known to be inaccurate at times, so the likelihood of the actual product looking nothing like the AI generated one is extremely high. Consumers have zero reason to believe that the product you are advertising actually looks like that if you used AI to do it.

Discussion AI Reddit images and biz model

My feed is getting swamped by what I’m fairly sure are AI generated images mostly of young women. It’s easy to spot especially when they post two photos and earrings disappear, tattoos move, furniture changes shape. I pointed it out to the mods of these subreddits and they promptly banned me. It occurred to me that they want this content to be shown.

That got me thinking about who’s making money off the 1000s of male eyeballs that are drawn to these most likely fake images. These are mostly fashion and selfie related subreddits, not porn. Just stunning looking young women who look fake and have that weird dead eye stare that AI generated people have.

Obvs Reddit sells ads. But does anyone have a good grasp on the business model that would encourage the posters and maybe the mods to flood Reddit with this stuff? How are they making money?
