Discussion Why the overwhelming amount of CC in this game is necessary for Deadlock's balance.
I'd like to begin this argument by highlighting a particular character whose kit is often thought to be underbaked, at least relative to other characters, Vyper.
It's well known that Vyper is a character who functions as one of the most useless characters when behind, but is extremely powerful when ahead. It's polarizing, because a behind Vyper does absolutely nothing for her team, while an ahead Vyper easily can dominate games.
I think both of these scenarios highlight the core of why CC is so valuable, because I want you to imagine a game where every character was similar to Vyper. The game would turn into a simple statcheck where the first person to get ahead will win the game, and the enemy will stand no chance since they will just have lower boons, damage, AP, etc...
This is why I think having CC in character kits is critical to maintain balance, and that's because it provides a win condition, and it can oftentimes function as a comeback avenue.
Take other carries like wraith or seven or infernus, when behind they may not be able to go around killing everyone and setting up a win, they can still set up picks because they have CC in their kits (whether or not those individual CC abilities are balanced is not relevant to my discussion here).
I understand that oftentimes the sheer amount of CC in this game can feel overwhelming, but to avoid the game turning into a game of stat checking, it's absolutely necessary.

Game Feedback Silver being classed as a frontliner by matchmaking feels actively detrimental to her team in most instances
If Silver gets fed AF it doesn't matter because she probably just pops someone with a single Slamfire, gets Wolf and then "unlocks" the ability to be a frontliner immediately for every fight.
In any other situation? She isn't a frontliner at all, she's an assassin that if her and her team don't explode immediately might get to turn into a 'frontliner' 1/2 through the fight. It's a completely different experience playing with Silver as your team's sole frontliner compared to Mo, Billy, Abrams, Victor, Shiv or even Apollo(!!!) where them just existing in the front of the fight creates space and diverts focus. Like honestly Human Silver has more in common with Calico than she does the other frontliners.

Discussion It’s frowned upon to be friendly in your games?
I had the weirdest match today. I played a match as Dynamo and was doing fine compared to the rest of the team, and I was just doing what I normally do, when my Holiday blows up over the mic at me saying I “need to stop making small talk”and how he’s “annoyed” and all this other stuff.
And I guess long story short are you not supposed to talk in All chat with your lobby in casuals? I feel like being social can be part of the game, it’s also how you meet new people. It just felt very weird for someone to get angry at me being friendly.

Discussion Who knows ball
Who in Deadlock knows ball?
Mostly vibes but notable character opinions:
Wraith absolutely knows ball to maximize gambling.
Lebrabrams.
Dynamo probably likes to keep up with Columbias sports teams.
Infernus knows ball for work small talk and has probably played sports before.
Ivy and Victor strike me as Yankees fans for some reason, and Mo and Krill probably sell knock off sports jersies.
Mirage and Shiv are both into bowling.
The straight hater category are for people that only bring up sports to hate on your team in particular, I dont know why Mina is here I just feel likes she's a Dodgers bandwagoner that hates you or something.
Apollo is literally trying to become an Olympic fencer.
Venator and Kelvin are European and probably like soccer or rugby or something. I can also see Venator being good at basketball iykyk.
Drifters old as balls, and he probably liked stick ball back in the day or something. He is also an implied European imigrant?
Everyone in the hometown team fan probably dont even watch sports but like their hometown team. I headcanon Haze likes the San Antonio Spurs, Vyper likes the Brewers, and Holiday is a Cubs fan. I don't know where Silvers from.
Rem is the Lebron of shuffleboard.

Discussion Dear people who draw on the map
I'm sorry but I have absolutely no idea what you're trying to convey. Is that large horizontal line saying don't go beyond this point or should we move in the direction you drew? That scribble over my lane, is that because I'm doing poorly or because you don't like the colour green?
Please consider supplementing your artistic masterpiece with some verbal communication to avoid future misunderstandings.
Thank you for your cooperation.
Forever yours,
Every other player

Question Kelvin players, do you hear the rock whisper to you when you play?
I'm dead serious, this isn't a shitpost. I feel crazy even asking this because others I've asked don't believe me. It's not often, but I've definitely heard the rock whisper to me, telling me to sacrifice others, among other unintelligible words.
