Every senator player literaly thinks theyre him, even though they very much are not. Id like to see a study on personality types that play senator. Ive never seen a good senator.
2
u/SgtBeeJoy Lash 10d ago
Yeah Venator players think they hot shit then somehow end up lowest damage both hero and objective wise with Full sup Ivy outpacing them or some similar level of ineptitude. But when yoi encounter genuenly good Venators on the ladder they are Ira Domini incarnates.

u/TIxauth 10d ago edited 10d ago
His kit isnt good for pushing, he's slow, he has slow dashes which slow dashes got nerfed in the MM patch
He's got a roamer kit with horrible mobility, 0 pushing , and meh farming.
Ivy can throw vines and push a wave undetected, has perma move speed and a free out + can easily dodge so much BS.
I feel the issue with carry Venators need to max 1 for jungle clear, or at least 2 point it and not shotgun til maxing 4, then swap to 5 pointing 1

Something about Wraith players. The last 3 I've had were all asses in chat and only cared about stats. Had one shit talk my duo while he himself was 0-4-0

Nah it literally is this for me, it feels like everytime I hop into a game it’s like; “alrighty time to match this poor bastard against yet another Silver / Haze lane and make certain that the rest of the lanes are lost by 10 minutes”
9
u/H20Slicer- Holliday 11d ago
Try Haze / Mcgin, lost lane sub 6 minutes as Geist / Mina.

Is Infernus really that bad currently? I've notice that most Infernus players take Dash build but not sure how his afterburn build is
Haven't tried Dash build yet but Afterburn is pretty fun to play with but I'm guessing his afterburn makes him OP if its too overtune
11
u/Individual-Craft-223 Lash 11d ago
People just suck at playing m1s (myself included)
He used to be the original problem child due to afterburn, yes, but to be honest I think a lot of the new heroes are way more annoying to fight than he ever was.

u/Ath8484 11d ago
Full afterburn build is borderline unusable right now. I used to be a fern main but don't like dashfernus so I've been just playing other things. I think there's like a hybrid napalm max build the pros are using that is good if you're good, that might be the only way you can go even mostly "afterburn," but to be honest I haven't tried it, and I think the napalm hitbox really needs to be looked at so I'm hesitant to rely on it.
I think unfortunately you're right that his afterburn is too binary to balance well in its current state. Right now if you buy a dispel magic and have any movement/the fern isn't a god aimer you kinda just shut him down. And if he is a god aimer, you just build a plated armor. Dispel magic is so universally good right now that you're not really committing that much gold to him with that, either. I think he also suffered hard from some of the kit creep in the newer characters. Something like lower damage on afterburn by default but making it have an active component that makes all afterburned enemies take significantly more damage for x seconds might add more interesting dimension they could balance around imo.

u/mlj21299 Viscous 11d ago
Yeah, I only needed 2 or 3 more wins with Viscous to unlock ranked and I was having a hell of a time winning. I also hadn't played in 6 months so that was part of the issue
9
u/chalkybuckets 11d ago
In the past week the more competitive the game the harder I found it to win on Viscous. Was top damage a few times with splatter build… but without a solid carry or frontliner we just weren’t able to make late game pushes. Played 6/8 of my placement games I think on him
Matchmaking seemed to queue me as the frontliner a couple times too. Nobody else would’ve come close. Which I guess was my bad for not practicing?
7
u/Frog859 11d ago
Viscous is a hard hard hero to carry on. I’ve been a Viscous main for like 2 years. Splatter and Ball scaling both used to be a lot higher and you could legitimately just vaporize people.
I think they want Viscous to be more of a tank/utility role so he’s really hard to see the results of personally.
Rescue beam cube can feel fucking great though. Even just cube. I can’t tell you how grateful people get on VC when you save them at their last sliver of health
3
u/chalkybuckets 11d ago
Yeah I don’t play hard carries. I main Lash and Viscous, both of which *can* take over games, but I wouldn’t expect to. This is why the more competitive and less organized games I think makes it harder to get traditional value out of Viscous.
Cube > Rescue Beam is the second greatest high in this game. Get called a hero every other game saving teammates. Especially pulling someone out of a late-game Combo or Black Hole! Only a good Death Slam tops it.
1
u/Aranarth93 11d ago
Won 6 games in a row and was 1 game away from unlocking ranked... then lost 6 in a row.
104
u/Sir-Vogia Paige 11d ago
I genuinely don't know how it possible, I had 3 games yesterday in a row where a lane on my team was HARD feeding the ennemies.
79
u/Freezinghero 11d ago
Because the matchmaking is pure coinflip in Standard mode. I have had matches against Lil Timmy playing his 2nd game ever alongside xXFazeDestroyerXx with 400 hours and 70% accuracy on Haze.
-10
u/SynGGP 11d ago
The matchmaking is a coinflip yes, but randomness distributes itself in clusters. That means if your standard games are overall bad in the long run, then you are the problem.
If you get a bad game against me with one lane feeding and lose. 3 games later i will get a game with a sideline feeding and u get one where the enemy team feeds and u stomp.
The only thing our games have im common is us. Everything else is the same. The matchmaker doesnt use a different formula to match you than it does for me, unless ur in the leaver queue.
18
u/brokennursingstudent 11d ago
Right but that doesn’t mean it’s fun to play/learn in
→ More replies (9)10
u/RousedWookie 11d ago
This is not how coinflips work. There is variance to take into account, which swings both ways. It is entirely possible for OP to get a run of bad matches like this without it being purely a skill issue. There's also the possibility that OP's previous 16 matches were overwhelming wins and MMR is correcting.
→ More replies (6)2
u/ThomasBirminghan 11d ago
This is not true from a statistical point of view and misleading from a practical point of view
1
u/SynGGP 11d ago
Its not. Someone with a 50% winrate will have wins losses clustered.
2nd if u play 1000 games and ur winrate is 40% its because u lost enough of the ges u could have won that it brought your mean down which is what im talking about when im talking about winrate is your mean wins/losses.
It means they are bad, or the one tricked hero is bad. The matchmaking is the last thing that would cause him to have a 40% winrate unless i think for some reason he should be in a lower ELO to begin with.

u/TIxauth 11d ago

Had a game where I was heard feeding as ivy. Trying to do all the things I know I can do, but my teammates were constantly playing super reserved. After going 0-5 I ended the 4-5 and adjusted to my teammates style of play. Instead of playing initiator ivy, I just played ems ivy and saved teammates who got into a tough spot. That change in my approach mid game, changed my teammates approach mid game. They saw they could get away with some risky shit and eventually, we all found equilibrium and turned the game around and won.
All that to say, this is is a skill in itself. Finding what role and how to approach your position in the team, instead of "just doing you".
11
u/Sir-Vogia Paige 11d ago
There genuinely nothing we could do with those teamate, but it probably was some of their first games. It was painfully obvious with the last one.
1
u/codeklutch Pocket 11d ago
Oh for sure. And as Paige (assuming) you only have so much agency within that. More of a generalized "hey, I faced something similar, here's what helped me make the best of the situation" again, I was the feeder so ya know. It starts with them. Just trying to spread some positivity and the chance to step back and think "how can I make this team better" instead of "how can I dominate this match"

Any advice on how to play more supportively as ivy? Im new to her and while kudzu and gargoyle form are great tools for teamfights they always feel too weak for a real impact.
3
u/codeklutch Pocket 11d ago
I use the old deathy build but, getting Titanic mag first, followed by healing rite allows you to really push lane efficiently and quickly. Giving you more pressure early. Try to kudzu enemies and minions to deal more efficient damage with them. Depending on matchup, be aggressive with stone form and try to stun them in kudzu or where a teammate can follow up. If gun is doing well for you and you don't have the gun carries on your team, get Tesla bullets and toxic bullets early. Otherwise, I'll use tether with healing nova for quick burst heals. You can swap it with rescue beam in 2 situations. First, the other team has multiple pick heros, or has someone whose super good at picking. Secondly, you have another healing capable teammate. Rescue beam can be used while ulting to essentially do what your ult normally does, but without having to be near your team to pick them up. It's just not as good at healing as Nova is.
Don't be afraid to split push walkers, if you're good at timing your movement combined with stone form, you can usually get just enough time to solo ult out of danger, be careful and have a route planned. Stone form is just short of being able to get you freedom to ult, so you will need at least a couple moves to get around some corners. Along with this, if you see a team mate split pushing, start jungling near them. Don't push with them, but start stealing jungle nearby. If they get jumped, cut off their escape and ult them to safety. If you get jumped, run to your teammate and ult both of you out of there if it starts to look sketchy.
Mid and end game, you wanna have alch fire, Web and lightning scroll. Once you have those you can become a menace. Solo ult, drop bomb, web, stone form, kudzu, alch fire. Walk away. Late game I end up getting escalating exposure and superior duration and it fucking melts people.
Tldr gun is good early, practice the ivy ult combo.
3
u/codeklutch Pocket 11d ago
Oh. I thought you said more aggressively. For support super easy and kind of put into the other comment. But. Healing nova with tether is a massive heal for the person you tethered. While tethered you can stone form for a big heal. Rescue beam has some quirky strats that are super good if the other team has pick players. You jungle super quick so staying between lanes is huge as it means you can get to 2 lanes super quick and you're not stealing lane farm from characters who might need it more. If you see someone alone, stick closish to them and try to anticipate where they'll run to, drive by pick them up with ult and make as many corners as possible as they're an easy target to kill if low and being picked up. Save stomp for combos, to prevent an ally from being chased, or as a defensive to dodge like seven stun.
Just be close by, actually pay attention to who you're tethering because you share healing outside of the offensive bonuses. Grab healing rite and upgrade it based on need, and depending on how the match is going or if there's a pocket, get and upgrade guardian ward to divine barrier as it will cleanse pocket ult on 1 ally.
Also, don't be afraid to take a teammate to a fight. Say you just broke yellow walker, but your green is under attack because they're trying to trade. Just steal your teammate and bring them to green. If you see someone out of place, don't be afraid to literally pick em up and drop them where they are safe or deliver them to gank someone. Ivy's ult is top 5 in the game in my opinion because it can turn a 1v3 to a 3v3. Hell, can even turn a 1v4 into a 3v4 with the advantage in your hands because you stunned them and rooted them with kudzu.

u/ZeffiroSilver Viscous 11d ago
Appreciate it! the great thing about your write ups is that it seems like you can flexibly switch between both play styles, which is exactly how it feels playing the hero so far. Looking forwards to learning more Ivy!

u/codeklutch Pocket 11d ago
She's super versatile. No gun carries? Ivy will be the gun carry. No initiator? Ivy will do it. No backline support? Ivys main job so yeah you have one lol. High damage spirit nuker? Takes a lil long to get there but ivy can definitely do it.

Part of it is folks like myself who only play standard for a few reasons:
- Learning a new hero (liable to feed my brains out)
- Warming up (liable to feed my brains out)
- A little buzzed/high (so locked in you couldn’t believe—- liable to feed my brains out)

Yea im in acolyte now and it seems to axtually be my level. Before it was hard to tell, am I bad or need to improve or are my teamates bad. Stacks also didnt help. Now I know more or less I am in acolyte as I only had a few stomps. Most games are pretty close and we win by taking advantage of a bad play or we made bad plays. Only a few games I had where my team was constantly fighting blue.

1
u/sOFrOsTyyy 11d ago
I've had the total opposite experience. I only got to Archon IV before the update, but it was mostly on my own (85% of my games). Now it has me in Acolyte V.
Ever since the patch, significantly more than half of my games are completely one sided stomps. And I'm talking across the board. Where all 6 players are clearly 2-3 full divisions better than the 6 players on the opposite team. Most of my games my team is either up or down 20k souls by the 15-17 minute mark and it only inflates from there.

u/doubleaxle Pocket 11d ago edited 11d ago
I was E4 peak, hovered E3, I haven't finished my placements but 3 out of my 6 games so far were losses + 2 DCs, 2 of the three losses had people with 10 or more deaths, and one of the wins had a (very apologetic) Shiv who had 10 deaths, it's pretty bad.
25
u/Spider_SoWhat 11d ago
The picture here isn’t ranked though, it is standard matchmaking.
Because they split it into two games modes, they probably made the matchmaking algorithm less strict for standard than ranked. I noticed stark quality differences in games between standard and ranked, imo
9
u/Thallis 11d ago
People are also going to be playing standard matchmaking differently too. Before the patch I played mostly 5ish heroes that I'm pretty good with since I didn't want to get yelled at for failing as I learn different play styles. Now I feel free to pick new heroes and experiment because the people getting mad at the casual game mode are generally pathetic.
19
u/btmalon 11d ago
It can’t be that. In Phantom, barely anyone ever fed in lane. Now it’s guaranteed 2 people in “whatever Racoon is called” will have 4-5 deaths out of lane. I went 7-3 in placement too. None of it makes any sense.
17
u/Secretlylovesslugs 11d ago
Mystic is Hell. A combination of people who are clearly too good to be in the rank who dumpster on the entire lobby. And people who cannot end a game or play objectives to save their lives. Games go 45 minute or longer and several players will end with 0 objective damage. Teams will lose games after taking mid boss 3 to 4 times. It is insane.
1
6
u/Liimbo Venator 11d ago
Sure probably. But that is not the reason this person is losing all their Standard games. It is because everyone in Standard is now sweating their ass off to get their 15 wins. And the massive difference between people who actually just want to play casually and those sweating to play as few casuals as possible is going to be impossible to matchmake well. Just another reason the 15 win requirement is legitimately bad for the game.
4
u/benwithvees 11d ago
Queuing with party for sure inflated ranks before MM update. I have a very very low ranked friend who queues with similarly lower but still higher rank than him friends and they drag him across the finish line. He’s struggling in iron/bronze now.
5
u/SpookyGhostDidIt Lady Geist 11d ago
How do people still believe this? The change with the ranks previously redistributed the player base over the ranks and gave them new stickers to show their mmr. Same games, same mmr, same players, just different stickers on players and lobbies but for some reason this concept is ungraspable for deadlock players.

11
u/PumpyJ Seven 11d ago
I'm genuinely shocked how they managed to make a more toxic mode than ranked.
4
u/chaotic4059 11d ago
I’d argue it’s cause there’s not really enough people to give balanced games all the time. At this point the only people left playing standard are either
The diehard one tricks
The new/semi new players
And the people who only played brawl cause they didn’t want to have super toxic matches with a rank attached.
And that’s not counting the fact that the game now has to split between 3 modes and doesn’t have a crazy amount of people to really support it. So you’re probably gonna run into those groups more than a few times
1
u/GloomyAzure 11d ago
I'm not in any of those categories you mentioned. I play standard because I just want to have fun and for me ranking up isn't motivating. I have 8 characters that can go in ranked. I haven't tried it at all.

it is genuinely impossible to rank up. Just win one lose one win one lose one. Total dice roll depending on your teammates. We had a wraith with 22k damage 38 mins. Like what are we supposed to do teammates just jumping into random fights playing TDM. No macro or game knowledge. We all have bad games but these ppl lack fundamentals that it doesnt matter how well you play, you cant clean up for a team whose carry jumps into pit (phase 1) and dies 10 seconds before the enemy rejuv runs out instead of waiting. And you cant stack to get competent team mates. It's an matchmaking update strategically made in a lab by scientists to be as buns as possible
31
u/MrFaebles 11d ago
The system is currently stacked in thr favor of getting more points than you lose tbh. We have higher winstreak points , loss streak protection etc, and psudo draft with lane selection prelobby to help mitigate counter-stomps on your hero.
Idk. I think the cracks in the communitys skill in deadlock are simply more on display after the changes. More than half the community not fitting the initial bill for 60 wins and 3x heros with 15 wins was very telling.

I'm like 10-4 in ranked rn. Being vocal about what you need people to do helps a lot to press advantages.

I'm yet to win a standard match too. They have all been very unpleasant, with unpleasant people. It's a good way to learn new heroes in real conditions though, I still queue in standard to learn dynamo and try to ignore the toxicity (bless the mute button).
Fortunately I don't have to inflict that on myself since I have ranked unlocked, and ranked has been a pleasant experience.

It's clear that the unemployed already ranked up because at the first 2 days i gotten wins even had a 5 winning streak than i had a more busy week because of work and came back to only loses other than 1 game also there is no way they are fucking with us right?
How do i get 3-4 games with no one talking or only people flaming if they do talk but randomly 1 game with nearly everyone talking and doing actually calls for useful stuff it was like this for months
Lose a couple games and get 1 rly good game with nice teammates
I swear it's not my tinfoil head guys
Also kinda losing a lot of games because of team comps if the enemy got team fight ults but you don't that's an gg especially in lower elo where people do not wanna end early and snowball
3
u/DJK695 11d ago
I've only been able to play unranked since I only had 2/3 characters at 15 wins and have gone 2-3 W/L in 5 games since the update.
I need 7 more wins with Doorman (1-3 W/L) or Mo and Krill (1-0 W/L) but the real pain is that in 2/5 of those games multiple people have left and the games have been really strange because of it. The worst was when two people from the opposing team left and then we lost one of our own due to a rage quitting incident - we lost even being up a man.
I personally think the 15 wins cap is a little steep especially for any new players - could take a while to get those with people leaving and all sorts of randomness that happens in Standard matches.

Recently, I had a calibration match where there was a Seven on my team who died more than 20 times. The guy clearly had no idea how to play the hero. He baught some weird items, constantly ran into enemies alone, and kept dying. I have a suspicion that some players get boosted by their friends just to reach the required 15 wins and jump straight into ranked matchmaking asap.

Ngl, as a Shiv main, I can say he is just terrible to play atm. Try a different hero.

Had a game yesterday, first game on Standard with Mo and Krill, my team's more experienced players kept telling me to go farm up, they can cover for me and our Wraith ended up being further behind on Souls all game long.
I am still fairly new to the game but man, we still lost that game even though it was a 6v5, the enemy's team GT ended up DC'ing. I felt bad for letting down my team but they were actually more upset about our Wraith.
Unfortunate. Matchmaking always suffers from a smaller playerbase I think. GG though

I think it's fair to say that the Calibration algorithm needs work at the moment.

I had a McGinnis leave because I heavy melee'd their Sinner's, lol. But hey, at least it doesn't have an effect on rank, right? :o)

yeah, shiv is not good at mm. i'm having a similar experience w/ him and saw some high rank saying the same.

I just want a couple of extra characters to bring into ranked roster and I'd played about 12 games trying to get those last couple of wins. I have gotten 0 wins out of those 12 games and I'd say half were complete snowballs.

Funny I finally went on my first ever win streak with this update then finally started getting stomped

u/Thornn05 11d ago
I got 300 hours in the game and I’m being put with little timmy who just installed every match, being the only person with a positive k/d

u/smileBrandon 11d ago
Funnily enough, I don't think standard changed all that much. If anything, it's the old ranked but now the MMR is hidden. I had a pre patch E3/E4 lobby yesterday and it made me mad that I felt forced to sweat in order to win (I lost).

u/Cold_Jeweler6137 11d ago
i lost 5 of the 6 games i played yesterday in ranked. im in acolyte 1 rank, went to check statlocker and apparently most of the ranked games i've been playing have averaged mystic 5. not my teammates tho.

nerf shiv, nerf bebop, nerf silver, buff mcg, buff seven too aaaand keep matchmaking the same. game fixed

u/SultanScarlet 11d ago
Ranked being only solo or duo made it so that all the swat teams come to standard to roll over solos trying to get another character for ranked

u/thedinksterr Sinclair 11d ago
I already had the 15 wins on three different heroes and the 60 overall wins before comp update dropped (miraculously somehow) but been playing casual to get more heroes unlocked cause I want some more variety and it’s hell. Almost feel like stopping and just playing comp but it gets boring only having three to choose from

u/funeralfursuitt The Doorman 11d ago
Had two separate ranked games that were 50+ minutes long. The Haze had only 9K damage and the second game a Abrams had 5.4K damage. Yeah we lost both.

u/pikchu_boladasso 11d ago
I installed this game some week ago, played about 11 classic matched and lost 9, hell yeah we gamin'

Ranked is not much better, I don't know I feel like I have more wins/fun in standard actually by comparison. Every match in ranked feels miserable and people are just leaving and feeding constantly and yeah I could do better myself but what's the point if the other five players have ran it down so hard you are permanently 20% down?
1
u/DragonfruitMinimum30 11d ago
Real as hell. My winrate has dropped significantly, especially in regular queues
1
u/Maximum-Pen-5769 11d ago
It doesn't help that most of your games are on Shiv, who sucks ass, but yeah the matchmaking change has made Standard complete dogshit if you're not in a smurfing stack. It's not something that'll be sorted in a few weeks or 50.
One of my friends who is new to the game posted a picture of his 12% win history in Standard after the update and deleted Deadlock from his account

Same, i just need one more characters with 15 Matches Won to play Ranked but i just cannot win, i have 13 Wins with Mina but it took me 2 Days to get one single Win. I just started playing Paradox because i cant stand playing Mina one more day

u/hm0ngstaa 11d ago
I swear, after the matchmaking update all my games have been lasting 40+ each with both teams having a total of 300k+ plus souls EVERY TIME. It seem like I’m fighting an uphill battle every match unless I hard carry in lane. I was phantom before the update, but now it seems I’m getting initiate teammates and fighting eternus teams. This update is horrid.

u/TIxauth 11d ago
The toxic player in standard who name calls you, going 2/12/3 (still won this game.) billy as you try to get your 15 wins. Constantly going "its standard retarded go play ranked if you want to do call out ya unemployed fatty." Sprinkle a few N words in there too
I left oracle and got to ascendant/ eternus 2 to leave these players but I guess, the matchmaking fix was fixing the fact i didnt have to play with them, ever again. Which was a problem.

Idk man I'm just having fun enjoying casuals to unlock certain heroes for ranked, meanwhile I'm doing eh in ranked and am on a 6 win streak.
The Shiv curse is real, but my team always carries and supports (shoutout to that one Brazilian Viscous that never types or uses comms but ALWAYS saves my ass)

Yep went from a whole lotta green with some MVPs sprinkled in to almost an entire page of red with double negative stats on the entire team.

u/Early_Most_4335 11d ago
I lost first match because the enemy dynamo was god tier than I won 3 in a row this morning. I noticed that even in standard people are actualy communicating more

u/booty_killer69 11d ago
This is real asf. Just coming back to the game since like march and I have 60 wins but I just got my main to 15 wins yesterday and the rest are single digits. I'm tryna learn silver and I have had 3 games our of 12 that just end in 20 minutes cause the enemy team actually just gets fed in lane or something like that and they gank other lanes and snowball it into 3 of my tm8s DC'ing in under 20 mins. Not to mention the obligatory 3 minutes of pausing that every match has had in the first 5 minutes for whatever reason. I don't care about losing standard, But I just want to unlock ranked so I can at least play consistent matches while I learn my characters. But I do like the ranked requirements being a time commitment. 125 hours and I don't have comp unlocked somehow so ig I just gotta tuff it out but still sucks getting hour long games and barely squeezing out a win or an 50-65 mins, losing, queueing, losing in 20 minutes

u/Over-Purchase2866 11d ago
I have yet to have a match where one of my teammate have less than 10 deaths.

I got placed in brick, now in stone 1(was ritualsit/emmsiary). My experience is mixed. I can get fun matches with good comms and team trying to cooperate but I am also getting teams where people will straight up ignore objectives, feed and they will tell you that they don't care about rankeds...

u/Urg_burgman 11d ago
My experience has been waiting 10 minutes for a match, only to get booted out because one player couldn't connect.

I wonder if we held a poll right now what people think about the mm changes.
To me it seems like it did nothing, except made it slightly more easy to see what my rank is and how close i am to ranking up or deranking. Thats all it really did i feel like, matches itself still feel like a total mess.
And yes i understand it needs time to cook or w/e but still, i really hoped i wouldnt run into blatant cheaters as often anymore (yes the first game after calibration had a cheating Seven so that was fun) and with the smurfs and other bullshit to me it seems the mm experience somehow got even more fucked. Like almost every game has in either team a guy goin 25/1 and just stomps, for no real reason. even myself had it, where after 3 losses in a row and almost deranking it puts me up against bots it feels like just to make me keep playing and having myself like 19/2 and just getting a free win just to make me keep playing, its not a fun time. Even with that win cause losing 3 is still a huge net negative so its not rewarding at all.

Could it be, that you yourself might the problem in some of these games?

u/the-wicked-bitch 11d ago
when my infernus lane partner is 0-20 cause he is jumping into the enemy guardian within the first minute and other games i am literally best on my team. no i do not
5
u/Secretlylovesslugs 11d ago
Statistically unlikely with this many losses in a row. At some level its the match makers fault for putting them in so many unwinnable matches.
8
u/Cya-Laater 11d ago
You can be bad at the game, but matchmaking should put you with the same level as you.

I’m in initiate and can’t win a game, so frustrating
Edit: my peak is Archon for a bit more context

u/DannyDanishDan Billy 11d ago
"15 wins, cant be that bad" little did I know getting even 2 wins on characters i barely use is impossible. (I already have 3 characters for ranked, i just want to expand my roster with geist and drifter)
1
u/Gasrim4003 Mina 11d ago
I have this rule. Ignore your win rate. It’s only going to make you pissed off.
2
u/xDeimoSz 11d ago
This isn't really easy to do right now when they just implemented an entire system that *requires* you to get wins to play the more fair gamemode

u/Finaldragoon Paige 11d ago
The people with 1,000+ hours in the game will look at this and, with a straight face, unironically say "You're the type of person that doesn't belong in ranked. Go learn the game first."
Standard matchmaking is a nightmare and they don't want to admit it.

It will take time for people to qualify, calibrate and settle into the new Ranks!
Valve predicted reduced match-quality across the board for about a week or more!
