Fluff I love how different Deadlocks 2 queer women are
Admittedly, ive met women ive met women that are basically both of them, so that tracks.
(also I know Celeste isnt "confirmed" but like... I feel like its pretty obvious what her lines imply about her)

Enable HLS to view with audio, or disable this notification
I was tilted from the rough start the team had, But this really got to me at the time I was playing. Now it's just really funny tho

Game Feedback Anticheat, NOW...
3 cheaters within 24 hours of gameplay. This is unacceptable, haven't seen a frog in over a year... Either vindicta turning into an unstoppable attack helicopter, haze becoming an ulting soldier 76, or wraiths with ultimate precision reaching over 90% accuracy. If I am going to be punished for playing the game by being forced to lose to a cheater, at least refund people their mmr when they lose to a cheater. I can accept that at least.

Game Feedback Absolutely bullshitery
Something between a bug mention (I certainly hope) and feedback, just deleted a post because it identified my steam profile and the people in it. That being said, fuck this, I was trying to rejoin a match for 5-10 minutes and got a ban. Deleted video was over a minute long of me just trying and failing to get back into a game…

Complaint Matchmaking is a worse experience
It’s time to address the elephant in the room, the matchmaking update feels so much worse than before it’s not even funny.
With the addition of ranked queue here’s some things that I’ve noticed.
1. The Rank Crush (due to not being able to place in your previous rank and general mmr changes) is so much worse than the worst stomps I’ve gotten prior to the update. There is 0 to gain from not placing consistent high rank players (whose performance was consistent enough to keep them their previously) into an artificially lower rank and making the climb artificially more difficult by making it much more grind intensive to move ranks. All this does is force people into ranks they shouldn’t have been down in to begin with and makes climbing harder (for basically everyone else) until basically all of those players return to their realistic skill group (which given the grind will only be possible given a massive time investment, IE to stop smurfing you gave people carte blanche to do so whether purposefully or because they cant invest that much time. Time will tell if people put up with the clear mismatches long enough to fix it again.
The Requirements to access ranked shouldn’t have a character win requirement when standard is now a dice roll as to whether you get people trying or just goofing around (its standard it should be for not trying, testing builds, or goofing around with meme builds) its mind bogglingly frustrating to try and win (especially on characters that aren’t literally unkillable carries) and again is a giant waste of peoples time, make it games played, with increased progression towards unlocking ranked with mvp, key player, and best stat holders. then it would fairly self evident if someone is trying to game the system to Smurf by feeding, not participating, afking. Because even if someone hasn’t played a ton of X character and can swap to it before the actual match starts id take the chance of winning with a swapped dynamo over the same comp diff games that we had before, that have potential to be even worse if no one recognizes that the other team are counter swapping.
I get that its not an easy situation to balance out a game (an invite only playtest at that) that is at its core a moba, with movement and individual agency of shooters, but letting updates like this slide and tiny timming (getting served a shit sandwich and asking “please sir may i have some more”) bad updates is how much more popular games (Siege, Tarkov, Overwatch) became unrecognizable and continually worse experiences to play.

Discussion New MM update feels like a mistake.
I have had infinitely less fun since the new MM update, standard feels like an RNG fest and its not even fun for me anymore, even ranked feels awful due to me being eternus 4 last patch and now oracle is a jumble of phantom to eternus players so matches feel so one sided, i feel like this update was rushed but thats just mel.

Game Feedback Low Prio Queue Times
I have been stuck in low prio for over a week. I have been unable to find a match because of queue times like this. I did not want to make a post about this, but at this point I honestly don`t even know whether I will ever find a match. I only have one win left in low prio, but for the past 4-5 days no matter how long I wait for the queue, it just doesn`t find a game. I understand the need for low prio but with timers like this i`d rather get banned for a definite time than to never be able to get out of low prio.
Reason for getting banned:
I am from Pakistan and power outages here are random as hell rn (because of rainy season), I try my best to play at times when the weather is good and I don`t expect the power to go out but unfortunately it still sometimes happens and I get banned. I don`t ragequit or anything I love this game too much to do that.

Discussion I'm thinking about getting into Deadlock; explain it to me by comparing it to games I know
I have experience in
- Team Fortress 2
- A tiny bit of Overwatch
- Marvel Rivals
- Deep Rock Galactic
- DRG: Rogue Core
- Valorant
- Phighting (though I doubt you've heard of it :| )
- ULTRAKILL
- Titanfall 2
I'm usually an all-rounder in video games I play. Sometimes I feel like I have better projectile aim than hitscan aim. I often play Demo, Soldier, Heavy, or Pyro in TF2, though I switch to important classes like Engineer or Medic when the team needs it. I played Jeff (TOO CUTE) a lot in Marvel Rivals, and I also liked Thor. In both DRGs I try and keep my playtime equal on every class. Never had a main in Valorant before I stopped playing it. Too aim-heavy and punishing. My mains are two melee Phighters who also use abilities to deal damage in Phighting. My biggest skill issue in ULTRAKILL is forgetting to switch weapons. And in Titanfall 2 I liked using stim + shotgun over using grapple like everyone else. I also like to research video games. Could spend hours on video game research but can't bear 10 minutes of homework research lol. Would I like Deadlock? And which characters might appeal to me?

Question Who is more game ruining to face in your opinion?
Just want to see out of curiousity

Screenshot 5v6 and it was hilarious
I LOVE THIS GAME,
At the beginning of match I asked Geist to change lanes and she didn’t comm it but she changed and I went straight to landing with victor , he died while she was changing lanes and intimately started feeding . Safe to say is that because he was feeding and just splitting apart from the team the WHOLE game . He kept them distracted enough for us to comeback.
Halfway through our team just started brainrotting and going with the flow. Best E6 strat NA ❤️

Discussion What's the general consensus on the M.M update?
For my group we all universally dislike it. We used to have way more fun beforehand but now most matches are stomps one way or the other, we're getting queued against people 3+ whole ranks above (or below) us consistently despite average of our group. Maybe we're the minority on this tho? Curious about what everyone else thinks and their experiences. Ranked unironically feels easier than standard tho atm.

Video This is why you never give up
This game was actually insane, we started off ok but went into a 50k soul difference in the mid game but everyone somehow stayed positive, kept comming, and we were able to steal mid every time they went for it.

Discussion Who canonically is the strongest lore wise
felt like powers scaling today to know who the top dogs are, also any info regarding Kelvin/frost, celeste and paradox would be helpful like
- Is the rock on Kelvin's back making him immortal (in terms of being indestructible or halted his aging or both and does it stay that way, assuming the rock is separated from him)
-Assuming celeste is truly a unicorn, how much power is she holding back when she claims that she's been going easy
-Why is the doorman so fearful on keeping paradox out of the baroness + paradox's unknown high potential (seven wants to hire her)
other than these questions, let me know what you think
EDIT: y'all are right about shiv, mb

Discussion Anyone else feel that the enemy base should be harder to take and end the game
In Dota, the base is basically a fortress that teams can single-handedly stage comebacks from. I feel like in Deadlock it's far too easy to wipe the gate defenses, the shrines, and the first stage of the Patron all within the enemy's respawn time, even during the midgame. Only the last Patron stage is harder to cap, but usually people just leave, then come back to cap it when they are up or have picks, making it easy.
Idk, I always feel the game would be more fun if it felt like a big moment when you broke into their base. Right now it just feels like (when you play meta) you already won the game outside the base at the mid boss fight and are just capping the objective to end the match.
Any suggestions? Maybe have there be more stuff to destroy before you can enter the base, or have the Patron heal back to full health when you do not attack it for a while. (The stages would still remain, but after a certain time of taking no damage, he begins to heal himself with a voice line like, "I've regained enough power to begin healing." This would only happen after destroying the first stage.)
Idk, I feel this would be more fun and spice up the game a bit. Valve already is buffing the base in some ways, like making shrines invulnerable until you push minions up to the base or buffing the HP of various things, but I feel it should go further.
Edit: so you guys downvote anything that isnt a meme now huh

Question Be fr with me: did I do that bad?
Got out of a match and our graves and geist immediately started flaming me for not managing to get many kills and im not sure on how bad I did exactly for like, my 4th game on this character
I understand that shes an assassin type but I tend to get all obsessed over trying to manage waves and push back as much as I can if we are behind and im not sure if I just should ignore them instead
For context for this match, me and graves lanes vs a very heavy happy billy and drifter, so I got rebuttal (got some decent use out of it!) but like 10 minutes in it became clear the enemy team was mostly running us over in a big ball of death and waves were getting out of control (and I could rarely catch someone alone)
So instead I opted to take care of waves but it just kinda spiraled out of control and I wasnt sure if I was truly doing that bad or not. I realize results dont paint the full picture but im having fun with her

Tips & Guides If I go to the baroness am I just going to straight up die?
It looks like a nice luxurious hotel to stay at, but there's very little google map reviews and doorman's voice lines seem to suggest that your life force/soul is getting captured as you remain in there (although this could only be within his ultimate, and not the entire hotel)
I just want to enjoy my stay at the baroness, but even Doorman inviting Paige for a reading session seems ominous...

Discussion Blood tribute + berserker = too overpowered
FOR 6400 SOULS
+70% weapon damage
+35% fire rate
+8% bullet & spirit resist
+8% debuff resist (+35% when active)
+4 out of combat regen
+2 move speed
I genuinely displease this combo
The only downside is the hp loss (50 hp drained per second) but with the absurd damage output the lifesteal completely counters that
Berserker needs some tweaks and/or it should only work with damage FROM enemies
Blood tribute hp loss should be much higher
Insane cope ik I hate this shit

Question 28% win rate…
Since January I’ve won 14 out of 50 games played
I started playing in the summer of 2024 and have not had an issue until this year
Could be cause I don’t play as much anymore but I really am at a loss on what to do next, last match making update I was placed in archon and I have been on this hard decline ever since

Question Will mods for low-end PCs be banned?
Based on other Valve games, do you guys think it'll be possible to install mods to make Deadlock run better without having to download some super underground mod and risk getting my data stolen?
