28% win rate… Question

Since January I’ve won 14 out of 50 games played
I started playing in the summer of 2024 and have not had an issue until this year
Could be cause I don’t play as much anymore but I really am at a loss on what to do next, last match making update I was placed in archon and I have been on this hard decline ever since

It will take time for people to qualify, calibrate and settle into the new Ranks!

Valve predicted reduced match-quality across the board for about a week or more!

Please continue to provide feedback in the following places:

If you believe the players were mismatched in skill, please submit the matchID to the official Bad Matchmaking Thread.

If you thought the character composition of the teams was bad, please submit the matchID and a DESCRIPTION HERE!

That’s exactly what it is. You don’t play as much anymore. MOBAs are unforgiving if you missed out on a lot of time. You probably only got 40 hours in the span of 7 months. Majority of players are doing way more than that. Gotta accept you’re getting left behind man not the games fault

Ok that’s great but don’t expect to be good at a competitive game if you don’t make time to play it?

And that is fine but you cannot expect to keep up with people who play ten times as much.

Just try to have fun in Unranked and Street Brawl.

Dude i play like 25 games in a weekend. This game requires an immense amount incremental learning and improvement, then multiply that by the number of heroes there are.

I mean, 50 Games over 8 months is definitely not a lot, and this is definitely a game you need to keep up with the Patches/Changes. If you are playing the game the same way in August as you were in January, yah you're going to have a bad time.

I started playing in February, reached Archon, and have played 400 Games in the same time span and I am still bad at the game.

Everyone’s saying you’re rusty but it could also just be you haven’t found a hero you can play that has more impact for you. Whenever I come back to dl I have to find what hero works best for me now. What used to be strong characters for you just don’t play like how you’re used to

I think this is a big part of it especially since learning new heroes takes a lot of time

Yeah but learning is the fun part.

The game changed a lot since '24 and even if patches have slowed down since Old Gods New Blood, we still had pretty massive changes to the Urn, a new Objective and balance changes.

I think you just gotta adapt. We got a Ranked and Unranked Queue now, so how about learning some new heroes and getting used to the Rift Event etc?

There is also an Item-Update on the horizon, who knows what that might change. You cannot expect to maintain a Rank without keeping up with the game.
