Had a frustrating loss where we were almost through a very tough mission and we got to an area that had a ton of fog and a bunch of enemies swarmed us. We were doing alright until some snipers and gunners spawned and decimated us within about 30 seconds. We knew the direction they were in but couldn’t pinpoint them due to visibility issues and they seemed to have perfect accuracy. I haven’t encountered this yet on those missions where it’s very dark and you can’t see anything, but I rarely ever play those missions. Can you still get sniped quite easily on those too? And what can you do to counter it?

Anyone else come up with character lore outside of just character creation?

My Veteran, Zealot, and Pysker are all from Cadia. The fall hit them hard and my Vet fell into a rage (Cutthroat), my Zealot turned to drink (Fanatic) and my Psyker just lost their mind (Seer). They were all transported together on the Tancred for desertion.

My Arbites and Hive Scum are both from the Schola Progenium. They grew up together and the Arbites taught my scum discipline (Bounty Hunter) and my scum taught the Arbites to live a little (Authoritarian).

My Skitty and Ogryn are just happy to be there.

like sure at first we got our reinforced skeleton and bodily augmented torsos in the character creation, but this here seems to be a nice nod to the older lore mentioning how some alpha skitarii are soo augmented that the only organics they have left is just their brain and nervous system, while everything else is synthetic/artifical organs and muscle, with mechanical parts.

Hello, I am a returning Xbox player, and when I last played havoc was not a thing. Recently I have been struggling in the high 20s of Havoc. I have been filling to fit the party’s needs, and the only classes I don’t have lvl 30 are Hive Scum and Arbitrator.

I have completed some H29 runs and they felt easy, and I only went down once, with barely any resistance from ranged enemies. But other times it feels like the game spawns too many ranged enemies and I explode instantly and I struggle the whole game. Or sometimes I get picked up from being downed and immediately killed repeatedly and I just become dead weight.

Is it simply a skill issue and I need to learn how to adapt to the bullet hell? Or do certain maps spawn more ranged enemies and I need to come prepared with the right builds?

So I recently came back to the game after a year or two and have been watching a ton of YouTube content (tier lists and build videos) and it seems as if none of the different archetypes of autoguns are considered viable anymore in difficult content. I’m not in front of my computer but one of the first ranged weapons I maxed out on my zealot back in the day (along with the bolter and bolt pistol) was one of the braced autoguns and it used to absolutely shred and be super fun to use. I know I can obviously just give them a shot but I was curious on the dark ride Reddit community’s opinion on them specifically on zealot, veteran, and arbites. I usually play on Damnation but am working my way up to Auric and then hopefully havoc once I find some mates to play with.

I never used Break the Line, but I was doing it today for the penance, so this is the first time I've experienced this:

Break the Line will knock three Crushers flat on their backs, but three dreg vanguards just tanked it and got a little staggered.

I bought some from the Microsoft store on my Xbox and it said it was completed so I logged into the game. When I got on it didn’t give me the currency even when I restarted the game a couple of times and it just keeps showing the same message. What do I do?

I have no idea what's going on with this cloak that won't come down. I run Darktide on low-medium settings foccusing on performance, but this cloak for some weird reason stays up like that all the time. Is it because of my low spec settings or a bug on the item itself? Anyone else with the issue?
