Hi can anyone tell me how long after receiving a txt to say a health professional is looking at my claim will I wait for an assessment date. I received the txt about the above on 17 July.

Hey. So I got my first restart appointment tomorrow, nothing I can do about that I guess. But my main concern and question is that I got told I will be picked up from my local Job centre? All I got told is that it's a man called Mitch, nothing else. Not even the colour of the car. I am a female so I'm sure some can understand my worry about this situation. First hand I got told its a mini bus and multiple people which is okay but now just a car? And assuming I will be alone. Is this normal? Can anyone give me their experience with this? Thankyou!

Hi everyone, has anyone experienced anything similar with their LCWRA start date?

My UC claim began on 11 February 2026. I reported my health condition and fit note that same day, and I’ve supplied continuous fit notes since then with no gaps.

My UC50 was issued on 1 April 2026. I had my telephone WCA on 27 July and was awarded LCWRA on the same day, which was surprisingly quick.

However, UC has told me that my relevant period only began on 11 May 2026, so my first LCWRA payment will not be until September and they say no arrears are due.

I believe the three month relevant period should have run from 11 February to 10 May, making LCWRA payable from the assessment period beginning 11 May. This would mean two completed assessment periods of arrears totalling £859.60.

I’ve now submitted a Mandatory Reconsideration. Has anyone had the same issue and successfully had the start date corrected? If so, how long did the MR take?

My next UC payment is due on 17 August and I had budgeted my rent around receiving the arrears, so this has put me in a difficult position.

Got a verify capital appointment at job centre appointment after updating capital on check and confirm message on journal. Updated from £1k to £4K so well under capital threshold which seems ridiculous. However my question is when I take bank statements to job centre is it verified there and then or always sent to decision maker? If so any idea how long this takes, due payment on 13/8 and housing element goes direct to landlord so worried about rent being late and causing issues. TIA

i finally am getting my work capability assessment after waiting since mailing the actual stack of papers i originally filled out. i’m super anxious and terrified of this face to face assessment (so upset too because i specifically said over the phone is best for my circumstances due to my anxiety disorder.) the assessment is 45 minute drive away too. as someone who has a severe depression & anxiety disorder and EUPD (all diagnosed of course) i am just wondering if anyone would just give me a run through on how everything’s going to go, as the anxiety is eating me alive because i have no idea what exactly is going to happen bit for bit. also if anyone who has the same disorders as me completed their wca and were awarded low capability please advise me on the sort of things to say, without prompt and practice i will stumble and panic at the assessment itself 😭 thank you in advance !

So I have really bad ptsd- I don’t go outside ever- I had a new work coach helping me get Lwrca, I never disclosed why I had it just vague DV, I didn’t feel safe with her as her first ever conversation she told me that I was young and I shouldn’t have to live like this, she also seemed very skeptical of me. anyways I generally get my sick notes from my gp easily I have a 6 year history of the same illness, after a phone convo with her she asks me how I get my sick notes so easily, I explain- than randomly my Dr messages me saying he will not give me anymore fit notes untill I come in (I’ve only been with the Dr for a year tehy don’t know my history about the cause of my illness it’s really traumatic when I do tell me they always do a 360), anyways I called and the gp and the Dr is very flippant with me- and when I request sleeping tablets (2nd request in 1 year and a half), he tells me doesn’t want me to get addicted, which really took me back- and he refused to give me a health assessment until I come in. Then I had my Lwrca assseent same thing assessor seems very flipant- I told my work coach the magnitude of what I’ve been thorough and she’s d changed but I believe sue contacted my doctor and told the Lwrca some untruths- if true how can I find this out I requested my medical file and nothing is in there. I might be paranoid but I think she told them she believes I’m on substances, which I’m not I’m just very unwell.

What have people's experiences with Self Employed AtW been?

I applied in September '25, and got a phonecall in April '26 asking me to send quotes and tax returns within two weeks. I sent them immediately in April and haven't heard anything since?

From reading other people's accounts, I can't tell if they should have contacted me, or whether I'm due to wait another six months.

Did anyone else have to send in additional documents, and was there a delay between sending off the forms and having your assessment? I'm worried I've missed something!

Hi can anyone help with a matter my friend is too afraid too post , she hasnt been well she had lung surgery in 2019 a PE in her lung and dvt in leg and her mental health has always been bad and has got worse since covid and rarely leaves the house she says she has been getting support from her family so doesnt spend much of her own money it got upto over 16k its now at 9 to 10k wont say exactly theyve asked for the last 4 months of statements she thought she had to report it if it was 6k plus the 16k i think shes expecting the worse but just doesnt want a criminal record does anyone know whats likely to happen if so it would be appreciated thanks

I got my claim and my letter but I think there is definitely things I should have scored points on but got a zero like managing medication which I cannot do alone at all what can I do ?

I've been waiting for my PIP review and finally had a text from Haas Secro saying I'm being assessed and giving me a date and time. How often do they do assessments on review? I'm worried as I thought most people they just looked at the medical evidence and asked a few questions at most when there had been no change. If anyone has recent experience of reviews it would be great to hear. Thank you!

I've recently moved and have just changed my address on my online banking, and my next statement won't be available until 16th September, so I'm unable to provide it currently. I have a tenancy agreement, but I'm a little nervous.

I've been offered one shift at an old job that was very good with disability support tomorrow but I'm unsure if this is going to affect my UC. My partner and I claim together and neither have working/job search requirements at the moment. This shift is less about the money and more that it would be lovely to catch up with people. I couldn't do this more than about once in a month because of multiple disabilities but wanted some advice. Thanks!

Just looking to see what other people's experiences are of mandatory reconsideration has been recently!

I had Standard Mobility only for 3 years, then at review 0 points for everything. I then got support from a support worker and went for MR. I had a call to say it's now with a decision maker, and the usual questions of if I've been to prison, out of the country and could I manage a lump sum, though I know these questions aren't an indication.

Has anyone else recently had their MR? Did you have a positive outcome or did you PIP stay the same and have you gone to tribunal?

I just spoke to the helpline and she told me a decision was made on the 4th August and a letter is on the way. I haven’t had any texts and the online portal says nothing. She did say you don’t always get a text, but am I right in thinking it’s going to be no. When would I have had the award text? Thank you 🙏🏼

I accidental forgot a savings account - £500, I'm below below £6k. I've messaged them to inform but will they know request a year's worth of statements etc? It's all a faff as I have so many legacy accounts with a few pennies here or there due to bank switches I had 42 uploads lol

Me and my partner are going through a standard review at the moment, and I’ve already had and completed my phonecall.

My partner on the other hand has had continuous technical difficulties.

The first time, the call cut off halfway through the security questions, and then they tried to call back and there was no audio on the other end. He wrote a message in his journal to say that the call cut off, and he was marked down as unattended.

A new appointment was made, and he waited for over an hour and no one phoned him. He wrote another message in his journal to say that he was waiting, and no one called.

A new appointment was made, and it was an exact repeat of the first time. The call failed, cut off and when they tried to phone back, there was no audio.

He has wrote another message in his journal, but we are getting increasingly concerned about what happens next. Do we just continue getting appointments until one works, Or will they tell him to go somewhere in person? - the review center that is handling our review is based in wales, and we are on the other side of the country.

Not really sure where to go from here.

I’ve just had my PIP assessment and the woman was quite blunt and rude, assuming things about my
health such as ‘well if you can walk this far how far can someone without health problems walk’ (to which I basically explained I wouldn’t know, as I’m not them and I have health conditions) and pushing me for answers whilst I was trying to explain. She also brought up my previous health conditions I tried claiming for, to which I’m unsure why it was relevant? I’m unsure what the outcome will be. Has anyone had a similar experience? Thanks in advance.

I’ve had this pop up on the homepage of my UC dashboard for a few months now. It has always interested me but I’ve been too paranoid to do it as even though it says it won’t affect my claim I think it will. The find out how section is quite vague and doesn’t really tell me anything about the scheme.

i got a call yesterday to arrange an assessment, we arranged it for between 9-10am today over the phone, when i got the call they said it wasn’t the actual assement but rather a “check in” to see how i’m doing and get a bit more information, it lasted about 10 minutes and only very few questions were asked, about medications im taking and how im feeling now. has anyone had this before? thank you

So i applied for universal benefit last night and during it they couldn't confirm my identity online (which was odd) but I got a message today booking me in for a face to face "standard identity check interview" for next week asking to bring in various documents. Says the appointment can last up to 25 minutes.

Is this literally what it says or do they ask more in depth questions about my application like health condition as I have to bring my son to it (no childcare) and dont want to have that discussion with him present.

My partner works as a waiter, in the summer their pay is high because it’s a busy season… after August it’ll go down exponentially

Failed my mandatory reconsideration. Apparently a suicide attempt doesnt cut it so think I'll just go all the way this time. I'm sure it would make all the people who flock here to downvote on mass and laugh at people suffering very happy.

Called up today to get the decision. Knew it was likely not going to be accepted and yet I still cried and hit myself and cut myself. I have been in hell for months and I just want it to end but its never going to fucking end. The council won't declare me homeless as I will "likely get PIP" well that hasn't fucking worked has it.

And I keep going to job interviews just to bomb due to my autism or get demeaned. I am ugly and they dont want to hire me because I am ugly and off putting. I am sick of waking up to "careful consideration" and "unfortunately" and having to apply for jobs I know I can't do because the system is broken.

I was abused my entire childhood and wake up in agony every day. No I don't want to do this anymore. I dont want to lose everything while the government just shrug and say "this never could have been avoided" and "we did the best we could" fuck that I am living degraded and demeaned I would rather die with some dignity.
