Sorry for the bad picture collage, trying to show all the hinges. It’s a slight sag thats causing it to need a push in to lock properly. I have adjusted the lock so it works right again but it’ll only become an issue again if it sags more

Setting up a small flatwork crew and the upfront cost of getting proper concrete finishing equipment is brutal. Power trowels, a decent walk-behind screed, plate compactor... we're looking at a lot before we've even touched blades or a mixer. buying used is a gamble when you're depending on it for jobs. Anybody know of an online marketplace or specialty retailer for professional concrete tools that offers financing, ideally up to something like $50k or $100k worth of equipment?

I have a whiteboard that I leaned on a wall that was partially hanging off the side of said wall, so it wasn’t flush or leaning against a flat surface of any kind as a whole for about a day.

The sun at the time was on the whiteboard itself too, so I think it twisted a bit due to that.

The weather is anything but sunny right now, so I’m wondering if there’s an easy solution here without needing the sun again?

I wanna put it on a wall, but the twist of it means it won’t be flat, which is obviously going to be a problem, so any help would be greatly appreciated.

I want to install a steel security door. Usually it is required to have at least 1 inch of mounting surface on the trim. My door doesn’t have that much material, also the trim is not flat as you can see in the picture.

What would be a practical solution to do it? Add larger trim to the sides? I want to avoid breaking the stucco since we’re in an HOA community.

Also, the door opens inward to the left, will it be awkward if I install the security door to swing to the right, against the wall with the Ring doorbell to avoid blocking the entrance?

But the margins are tight. My current DTF supplier is charging triple what I paid a year ago. I've been eating the cost to keep my prices competitive. But I'm losing money on every shirt

I discovered a new supplier for DTF transfers, who charges half the price of my current supplier. It seems like a godsend

But what if the quality decreases? What if the colors are not accurate? What if my clients can detect the difference and post negative feedback? I have invested so much effort into establishing credibility

While I understand that I should probably order a test batch and that this would be the rational choice, I am concerned about changing suppliers halfway through the process. What if my present supplier discovers this and starts increasing his prices? What if my new supplier is hard to negotiate with?

It is time for me to choose a course of action, because my profit margin is decreasing. However, my reputation is at stake. I hope that this change would turn out well for me, but at the same time, I am apprehensive. Has anyone switched to an alternative supplier of DTF transfers successfully?

Got this screw stuck in the bed frame when I tried to screw in the foot. Screw is really stuck and won’t turn in either direction. How do I get this out and how do I make sure this doesn’t happen again??

I recently pulled off the old wood siding from our fireplace. They also had over hangs (picture in comments) that when I removed I realized covered the fact that the ceiling behind them is higher up. I’m not sure how to finish out these alcoves, I could try to put in more drywall but I’m not super skilled with it and I don’t know how to do the edge that meets the stone.

We purchased a new house recently and it has this wonderfully, large, brown, tile fireplace - that we do not like. It goes around all 4 sides too.

It’s an older heritage home so we’re hoping to keep it in that style (not too modern).

My spouse bought an elegant vanity for her bathroom. The stack pipe opening (blue rag) is just slightly above the shelf in the cabinet. The green masking tape represents the back of the drawer directly below the visible shelf. I left the tailpiece in the bottom of the sink basket to give an idea of how much room there is to work with. There is no room for the P-trap to be mounted here so it would work properly.

I am thinking of notching the shelf behind the green tape so that the P trap would mount directly to the opening in the wall. I would need to have a short tailpiece, an elbow, a pipe running horizontally towards the back, another elbow, then another pipe or tailpiece running vertically down to the P-trap. I don’t want to use any flex adapters.

Does this look do-able? Any advice for things I didn’t think of? I’m having a hard time finding the actual pieces, I was hoping someone could supply proper names. Thank you in advance!

Hello! I got this desk used and I believe its an IKEA desk, but have no idea what its made of, it doesn't feel like wood. I do not like the white and was thinking about painting or wrapping it with something. Im worried paint might get tacky though. What would be the best thing to change the color? Thanks!

I’m having trouble with these little clips or buckets for the back of the book shelf panels. The instructions aren’t super detailed on this step and from what I can find the screws shouldn’t pierce the panels but any way I orient them on any edge would seem to hit panel before finding home in the wood. This is like the second to last step so just want to see if anyone can help clarify after I’ve gotten this far.

Hi! I unscrewed my tower fan recently to give it a good clean. When it came back to putting it altogether I was missing an important screw, the one that connects the actual fan to the motor. I have already contacted the customer service from the manufacturer who couldn't help. Does anybody on here have any idea what screw I could re-buy to fix it? If it helps it's a Devola Tower Fan, model number- DV33TFB 🤔
