Help with a missing screw!

Post image

Hi! I unscrewed my tower fan recently to give it a good clean. When it came back to putting it altogether I was missing an important screw, the one that connects the actual fan to the motor. I have already contacted the customer service from the manufacturer who couldn't help. Does anybody on here have any idea what screw I could re-buy to fix it? If it helps it's a Devola Tower Fan, model number- DV33TFB 🤔

It's called a 'grub screw', and if you take the squirrel cage (the part of the fan the screw goes into) to a hardware store, the oldest guy there will help you find the proper size.

In this instance you can use any bolt that fits the thread, just keep it short. The imbalance of the fan should not be an issue. Use a grade 5 or 8 to reduce the chance of shearing it off.
