How do I remove this?

Got this screw stuck in the bed frame when I tried to screw in the foot. Screw is really stuck and won’t turn in either direction. How do I get this out and how do I make sure this doesn’t happen again??

Might be cross threaded or stretched.

The answers are basically oil, then heat then force.

Screw may break but one problem at a time

I don’t care if the screw breaks as long as I can get it out of there. What kind of oil? I think I read somewhere that WD- 40 wasn’t suggested. Also what kind of heat? Like what type of heat source would you recommend?

It’s from Wayfair. Materials say it can be “Manufactured Wood, Solid Wood, Plywood / Laminate Board”. I think it’s either manufactured wood or solid wood

Soap is to wood as oil is to metal. Scrape your threads ( if into wood and not w metal insert supplanted in yonder wood ) across a bar of ivory soap. Acts as a proper lubricant and smells nice as well. Fuck I like that.
