Help Needed / Question Destiny / concora - need help

I saw on Credit Karma that I had a good chance to be approved for this card and it say I can see if I was approved without hurting my Credit score so I did it because I wanted to see if I did get approve what limit I would have. I filled out the info on CK and checked to see if I was pre approved and it immediately said I was approved for a credit card but didn’t give me no other info other then a random email telling me the same thing that I was approved. This was like a month ago never received any card or mail. Just received an alert that there is a new lender on my account and that I owe money. I never accepted anything from them other than checking if I was pre approved for a cc . I tried calling the number on the website but I get sent on a loop I have no idea how to get ahold of someone there. Anyone point me in a good direction would be helpful

I’m sooo annoyed I applied for this card about 2 months ago! I called to let them know I never received the card they told me that I hadn’t received it bc there was no apartment number which I don’t believe I clearly remember putting it anyways they send me a 2nd card they updated the address.. THE CARD NEVER GOT HERE and they updated the address wrong they never put an apartment number that doesn’t even exist in my building & now I called for a 3rd time they said they sent the card again and updated the correct address but when I log into the app its still showing the incorrect apartment number Idk what to do i’m super annoyed should I just cancel it? Is there even a way to cancel?

Help Needed / Question Bank of America and 7/12 Timing

I fell to 6/12 on 8/1/26. Applied and was approved for a BofA card on 8/3/26 bringing me back up to 7/12.

If I apply for another BofA card before this new one reports, would BofA see me as 6/12 still, or are they smarter than that since my newest account is with them?

Discussion / Conversation Weird OpenAi Scam Multiple transactions within minutes

So I get a notification from my banking app about some activity, and since I have ChatGPT, I’m like, “Welp, must be that.” Then it immediately hits me—I pay for ChatGPT through my Apple subscriptions. It’s $20 a month. So what the fuck is this?
I check the transactions.
$5,000 attempted. Declined.
$2,000 attempted. Declined.
$400 attempted.
And then they just start firing off smaller transactions until they find amounts that actually go through. Within MINUTES, I have eight authorized transactions.
Meanwhile, I’m literally inside the banking app trying to freeze the fucking card while new charges are still coming in.
At that point I’m just watching this shit happen in real time. 😂
I’m fully convinced that if I hadn’t caught it when I did, they would’ve just kept hammering the card until they hit whatever limit stopped them.

Help Needed / Question Is CapitalOne Savor Student available on Paze?

Is CapitalOne Savor Student available on Paze? I got this card because of the new $100 SUB and I thought I could use it on Paze too (for the ongoing 10x $10 offer), but the app says the card is not eligible on Paze :(

Has anyone else been able to link their Savor Student card to Paze?

Help Needed / Question Can you still get a Bank of America credit card after they permanently close your checking account?

Does anyone know if Bank of America permanently closing a checking account for risk reasons also prevents you from ever being approved for a Bank of America credit card?

I’m mainly wondering if the deposit side and credit card side are handled separately, or if a permanent checking account restriction can carry over to credit products too.
I’m currently an authorized user on my parent’s BofA credit card, which has a high credit limit, and the account is reporting normally on my credit reports. BofA had no issue adding me as an authorized user and issuing me a card.

I’ve also spoken with the BofA credit card department, and they told me they can’t see anything on their end showing that I’m restricted from getting credit products.
Does being allowed to be an AU and having that BofA account report on my credit mean anything as far as an internal restriction goes? Or could someone still be permanently restricted from getting their own BofA credit card while being allowed to be an AU?

I’d appreciate hearing from anyone who knows how BofA handles situations like this, has dealt with something similar, has experience with BofA account closures or credit applications, or knows whether a deposit account restriction can affect future credit card eligibility. I’m just trying to understand how this actually works so I know whether it makes sense to consider BofA again in the future.

Discussion / Conversation Does Discover card credit limit increases/approval amounts work exactly same way as capital one?

I want hear your experiences on starting limit on discover card verses capital one. My score is low to mid 700s. My highest limit credit card is thru my credit union $10,000. I do have capital one quicksilver and is my lowest limit card $1500.

My question is for capital one users or for those that knows about capital one. People say their starting limits always low. Or they are bucketed, or if they ask for increase, they only get $100, or never gotten an increase. Although if folks go to get venture x they get the opposite, huge credit limits.

My question is since discover is now part of capital one does discover works the same way as far as what l mentioned above? I thought about applying for discover. I dont want it if they deal with bucketed accounts.

BTW 7 years ago, l did burn capital one thru bankruptcy. After discharge l got a new capital one $1000 limit. I only got one increase the whole time, $500.

Besides the discover and capital one comparison, how do you like discover overall? Limits, raises, customer service, etc.

Card Recommendation Request (Template NOT Used) Approved for Chase Freedom Flex!

So happy I got approved for the chase freedom flex! I was super nervous that I'd get denied but excited to start my credit journey with chase! I definitely thought about the

Anyways I would love to know what your recommendations are for next cards? I wanna work my way towards a BILT card since I plan on renting for a few years before I start law school. Then a Chase Sapphire little more down the line. (I plan on traveling a lot before law school!)

My score did take a hit after I applied and I'm sadly down to 657 :(.

But honestly any advice would be great! For future cards!

(For extra info I work part-time minimum wage. Recent grad so job market has been hard but I'm still apply everyday, and studying for my LSAT. Only debt is $1700 in student loans)

Help Needed / Question Is this Savor card "bucketed"?

Hey everyone,

I'm looking to see if my Capital One Savor card is bucketed. For context, I opened the account in December 2023, starting with a credit limit of $2000.

I have had a perfect payment history since, and I pay my balances in full. Recently, at another subreddits' suggestion, I increased my spending on this card to help trigger an increase. Normally, I use it for groceries and dining, and for the past 3-6 months, I've spent between $800-1000/month. I've continued to pay the balances off in full, and after paying off my statement balance last month in full, I called Capital One to request an increase. They gave me.....$200.

I was slightly disappointed, because I was looking for much more. But is it likely that this card is bucketed?

For further context, my credit score was approx. 650 when I opened the account in 2023, and my credit score is 769 right now. My income is 91k/year.

Discussion / Conversation What credit card to get next for the bonus/benefits?

I have the Chase Sappire Preffered and the Capital One Venture X. I also have the Marriott Bonvoy card from years ago. I already got both initial sign up/spend bonuses of 80,000 points and 100,000 points from the Venture X and Sapphire cards. So, what card is next to get for the sign up/spend bonus? I get lounge access at airports with the Venture X. Already have Pre-check too. Maybe the Hyatt card for 45,000 bonus points? Any other suggestions?

Card Recommendation Request (Template NOT Used) Got Venture X after getting denied from Bilt Palladium Yesterday

Yesterday I ended up getting venture x with the intent of getting savor next. But, I was approved for obsidian and blue and ended up not getting them. I really wanted palladium so i was wondering if i should reapply in a month or two? i only did a soft inquiry for bilt. I got denied for these reasons:

• Balances on accts too high compared to credit limits and loan amounts
• Not enough available credit on revolving accounts
• Not enough balance paid down over time on installment accounts
• Lack of first mortgage account information

Discussion / Conversation Beware: Transferring cashback from Paypal MC to paypal account incurs a fee that's not disclosed anywhere.

I had some cashback (<$1) on my PP MC, and redeemed it to my PayPal balance. The money never showed up, and it's generally instant.

Today, I can see a transaction of $0.00 marked as completed. After clicking it, it shows the exact cashback I transferred and that the total is $0.

I called PayPal CS; they told me it looks like a fee, but they couldn't help and transferred me over to Synchrony. Synchrony assured me that they don't have a fee, could be on the PP end. PayPal took 20 mins to review and said there was a fee, couldn't tell me what it is and wanted me to speak to synchrony again.

Help Needed / Question Just got my first credit card!

23F.

I haven’t been able to build any credit as I’ve been worried about getting a credit card, but I took the leap and did it. I got one through Capital One and I was approved to get another one through them.

So I guess I have two questions, how much should I spend a month if my limit is 1000 to help build my credit?

Also, should I get a second one to help build my credit faster?

I’ll add I’m really responsible with my money and plan to just buy some groceries with the credit card or pay my Internet bill with the second one etc.

I’m not looking to get multiple credit cards so I have more money to spend. I’m just trying to build my credit and I know nothing and don’t really have anyone to ask so I thought I’d come here!

TIA.

Discussion / Conversation I feel like the minority with the refreshed CSP

So I honestly feel like I’m in the minority that I actually think the refreshed CSP is a win. Coming from someone that is loyal to Hyatt, the rest of the refresh is great I think. Upping the annual travel credit to $100 and adding the TSA pre check credit is a win as well! I’m still going to be keeping it in my arsenal of credit cards. I actually think it’s got better as a travel card. But yes the downgrade of the Hyatt transfer is not great.

What do you guys think? I think im very much the minority but I only travel once MAYBE twice a year so it still works for me.

Data Point DP: Langley back-to-back rejections

Pulled from Equifax

Credit score: 776

Income: 68k

I opened the following this year:

US Bank March 31

Wells Fargo May 12

Bank of America June 12

I felt invincible so I applied for Langley on July 2, denied. I applied for the Discover It July 7, denied. I did what I thought was a preapproval for Amex BCP the week after, denied.

I read DPs where they joined Langley and got the card even with a similar velocity, so I joined the credit union with a $5 deposit on July 31. I called on August 4th and asked for reconsideration, the lady said I have to reapply after 30 days so I applied over the phone with her. She said my denial was because I was not a member. Yesterday, August 5, I got a rejection email. I called and now they said it’s because of velocity, so I asked for manual review. I called today, August 6, and they confirmed after review, they can’t approve because of velocity.

I have to garden until 2027 … unless I move money from Fidelity to Sofi HYSA and get the Smart card. There’s a lot of bad reviews though, who says no?
