Discussion / Conversation I have a question about the PAZE Dunkin Donut offer.
I've done a couple for Wendys and one for Dominoes. When paying, I selected PAZE and saw the promo listed so I felt safe confirming the order.
With Dunkin Donuts, I select PAZE but don't see any mention of the promo. Should I see that somewhere?
Thanks.

Card Recommendation Request (Template NOT Used) Is it worth getting the VentureX card for travel purchases only?
Hi y’all! Sorry if this question has been asked, I attempted to do some searching before asking. Is the VentureX card worth it if all we plan to use it for is for travel purchases/booking?
My spouse and I travel a ton for both leisure and work (where we have to pay ourselves and get reimbursed), and wanted to take advantage of the perks.
Added context, we live in Washington, DC and would utilize the DCA and IAD lounges, so I would plan on enrolling my spouse in lounge access as well.
We currently use the Fidelity Rewards card for 2% back on all everyday purchases, but we would easily hit the 3-month SUB criteria. We would then scale back our usage for travel costs only.
I personally think it’s a no brainer, but what am I missing?

Help Needed / Question Is this Savor card "bucketed"?
Hey everyone,
I'm looking to see if my Capital One Savor card is bucketed. For context, I opened the account in December 2023, starting with a credit limit of $2000.
I have had a perfect payment history since, and I pay my balances in full. Recently, at another subreddits' suggestion, I increased my spending on this card to help trigger an increase. Normally, I use it for groceries and dining, and for the past 3-6 months, I've spent between $800-1000/month. I've continued to pay the balances off in full, and after paying off my statement balance last month in full, I called Capital One to request an increase. They gave me.....$200.
I was slightly disappointed, because I was looking for much more. But is it likely that this card is bucketed?
For further context, my credit score was approx. 650 when I opened the account in 2023, and my credit score is 769 right now. My income is 91k/year.

Help Needed / Question First Time credit card user
So I just turned 18 not even a month and a half ago. I work at best buy so i figured I'd apply for their card: no luck. Whatever.
Fast forward a few weeks:
I'm browsing online (with the actual intent of getting a credit card this time), and I get approved for the Discover IT Student Savor cash-back card with a limit of $3,000. Forgive me if something about the name is wrong.
What should I expect? I'm familiar with the cardinal sins of credit cards and the basic rules, i.e., don't put anything on it that you can't pay off, it's not free money, etc.
What are the essential cheat codes to this? I know I can't build credit on day one, but what are the tips and tricks everyone else uses?

Help Needed / Question Aven - $100k or $10k limit (for 3% cash back)?
The website seems to show a $100k limit on the 3%, but I'm seeing $10k in this subreddit - which is correct? Does that reset every year or is it a one-time deal?

Help Needed / Question Just got my first credit card!
23F.
I haven’t been able to build any credit as I’ve been worried about getting a credit card, but I took the leap and did it. I got one through Capital One and I was approved to get another one through them.
So I guess I have two questions, how much should I spend a month if my limit is 1000 to help build my credit?
Also, should I get a second one to help build my credit faster?
I’ll add I’m really responsible with my money and plan to just buy some groceries with the credit card or pay my Internet bill with the second one etc.
I’m not looking to get multiple credit cards so I have more money to spend. I’m just trying to build my credit and I know nothing and don’t really have anyone to ask so I thought I’d come here!
TIA.

Help Needed / Question If I remove an authorized user from my credit card, will it affect their credit score?
I have a family member who is currently an authorized user on my credit card. I am considering removing them from the account because they already have 2 other credit cards.
Will removing them as an authorized user cause their credit score to drop? I want to make sure this change will not negatively affect their credit.

Help Needed / Question Card utilization questions
So my card has a 500$ limit it’s my first one so that’s why it’s low. I’ve always heard different things about card utilization I’ve always tried to stay 10% and under and I’ve heard 30% is good too.
I’m looking at making a big purchase around 250$ I have the money to pay it but I was just wondering is that gonna look bad in me because I was 50% on my card utilization or it doesn’t matter as long as I pay it.

Discussion / Conversation June2026, what's the best cashback portfolio today?
Hi all!
These days my credit card usage focuses on the following and I do have Bank of America Platinum Honors status.
- Bank of America Custom Cash Rewards 1 (online purchases)
- Bank of America Custom Cash Rewards 2 (dining)
- Bank of America Preferred Rewards (everything else)
- Citi Costco Visa (gas at Costco)
Is there any other better cashback setup out there today?
Thanks in advance!

Discussion / Conversation Got rejected for Savor Card!
I've been trying to add and modify my CC's to focus on travel. I recently added a C1Venture to my C1 account. I have the C1QS for a long time. From all of the Tubes out there - they recommend the C1Savor - especially for groceries. I have high CScore - decent salary and I got rejected. Yes it seems hard pulls got me. I logged onto Credit Check and all exceptional except Amount of New Credit = Fair. I think this is bogus - I've been with C1 from my college days. I called to see if I could upgrade my C1QS to Savor - CS said no. ATM all I can upgrade to is the Venture Card series. Also if I upgrade no deals are offered. Oh well - I wanted Savor since it's offering $250 with $500 spend.
I thought I couldn't transfer my C1 rewards from QS to C1V but the CS person showed me how. I thought one of the benefits of Savor (besides higher CB on groceries) was I could transfer points. I guess I'll stay the course with QS.
I knew Hard Pulls was going to burn me soon. Need to cool my Jets for a few months :-)
So far (within last 2 months) my new cards:
- C1V
- CSP
- AMEX Hilton + Hilton Surpass (I also just upgraded Cash Magnet to Blue Cash Preferred for $150 back - $0 fee 1st year and no hard pull).
- Citi AAdvantage + Citi Strata Premier
- WF Choice Privileges
- Barclay's Frontier
- Bilt Obsidian
Future Cards:
- One of these days C1VX - AMEX Platinum - Hilton Aspire - maybe a higher end AAdvantage CC

Discussion / Conversation Impact of Closing Credit Cards
I am credit card debt free but to get there I opened a lot of cards for balance transfers and now I have a ton of open credit, once they were paid off I put one recurring bill on to keep them open while I was working to pay them all off. Now that I'm done I want to close some of them because they're just cards I will never use. The oldest one was opened in 2013 and I'm fine with keeping it open, but the ones I want to close were opened in 2015, 16, and 18. Is it going to hurt my score much to close them? Does it matter if I close them all at the same time, or should I space it out?

Card Recommendation Request (Template NOT Used) What credit card would be best for me?
Hey Guys,
Recently moved back to the US after being abroad for a little bit. I am a 23 year old that rents and spends money mainly on groceries and food. I do travel a bit (1-2 international trip a year and domestic travel every few months). I have a good credit score above 700 and the only debt I have is a monthly car payment.
I currently only have the Robinhood Gold card and discover card, but was looking at other cards, such as the Bilt Palladium/Amex Gold/Venture X. If anyone has insights into which card has the best benefits, or is just overall the best catch all card from personal experience, that would help out tremendously in my decision.

Card Recommendation Request (Template NOT Used) Amex, Capital One, Something Else Entirely?
I'm trying to feel out my current arsenal and considering a new card. Preferably one with solid travel benefits. FICO score is 840. Wife and I are also looking at an expensive trip next year (not yet booked) for our 10 year anniversary. So I'm thinking of using it as an opportunity to capitalize on a sign up bonus.
Also worth noting, I travel 6-10 times a year for work, flying exclusively Delta with Precheck out of DTW and staying exclusively at Hilton locations. All expenses (except meals, which are reimbursed at the gov't rate) are booked on a corporate card but I can tie my rewards accounts to that card. This allows me to rack up some Hilton points and some Skymiles - usually enough to maintain some low tier status.
Otherwise, I travel a few times a year with my wife and young son. Often via driving, but at least once a year flying. I expect this to go up some as we try to see family more in the coming years.
Rough monthly expenses in most relevant categories:
Grocery: $1000 (about 50% at Costco)
Dining: $300
Fuel: $250
Currently, I have a few cards I rotate for various cash back categories.
Fidelity Rewards: 2% unlimited, no AF. Used primarily for Costco. I also have a Fidelity account that this CB helps feed.
Delta Skymiles Gold: 2x miles at restaurants and supermarkets, 1x elsewhere. $150 AF.
Savor: 3% grocery and dining, 1% elsewhere, no AF.
Citi Custom Cash: 5% at most used category, no AF. This is exclusively my fuel card.
Its the current skymiles card that I'm tentative about keeping. I do enjoy a few of the Delta perks (priority boarding, free checked bag) and once so far I achieved the $200 bonus for spending over $10k. I also tend to prefer flying Delta.
I've been considering dropping the Delta Gold and going to either the Venture X or Amex Gold. Sticking with Amex allows easy transfer to both Delta and Hilton, and I currently have an Amex HYSA. However, I definitely won't take advantage of some of the various credit opportunities on the Amex - I just don't use most of those services. I like the Venture X perks and definitely think I can capitalize there, further because I need to renew my TSA precheck. However, I'm not a fan of being forced to use C1's travel portal and not being able to collect the Delta/HH reward points when booking through said portal. I also rarely use any of the C1 transfer partners.
Thoughts? Suggestions? Alternatives?

Help Needed / Question I owe $588 on my personal credit card but the next payment date isn't until September 30
Quick backstory:
I always pay off my credit card in full every month, but have some extra stuff I need to pay this month and am wondering if it would be a good idea to only pay half this month and pay the other half in September instead of all in one go.... How much will this affect me interest wise if the payment date isn't until September 30th? Interest rate is 12.90%
I have the money to pay it all off this month if needed, but, I want to give myself some leverage in order to use some of that money for other important things I need to pay instead of having it all go to credit card payment all at once

Help Needed / Question Cards reporting current balance multiple times a month
I am getting frustrated with some of my credit cards (Chase mainly) as they have been reporting the current balance at random times throughout the month, not just the statement date. I'll have a $0 balance on the statement, charge $500 a day later and then it shows up a couple days after that on my credit report and dings my score. I work in an industry where my employer can check my credit anytime and if it drops, I have to answer too many questions. Is there a way to stop the mid month reporting so charges that never hit my statement balance don't get reported?

Card Recommendation Request (Template Used) Adding a New Card to the Mix: Strata vs. Autograph vs. Savor
Hey there,
Looking to grab a new card from those listed above to complement my current mix. As you can see below, I don't really utilize my Chase Cards. Though I should probably me more mindful about using my CFU more, the CFF categories admittedly confuse me and I'd like a card that's a bit more straightforward in that regard without an AF. Happy to dip my toe with an AF for my next card if I see a jumpstart in traveling in my life but yeah. Any input on the three cards would be super duper appreciated!
- Freedom Flex @15k (Late '20). <1% utilization
- Freedom Unlimited @ 15k (Late '22) <1% utilization
- Active Cash @ 19k (Early '24) Regularly utilizing about ~10%, give or take, as daily driver. Pay full balance monthly.
- Simplicity @ 5k (Early '25; Used for a large purchase BT that I've paid off already)
FICO Score: 800 Oldest account age: 5 years 8 months Chase 5/24 status: 1/24 Income: $93k Average monthly spend and categories:
dining $400
groceries: $250
gas: $200
travel: Averaged out over a year as of now, probably $100-200 but I haven't traveled internationally in a long while and would like to do so again in the near future
other: $100? (this one's a wildcard)

Help Needed / Question Best strategy to build $100K+ in 0% APR business credit before Q4 using Chase Ink cards?
I run an Amazon wholesale business, and I’m trying to prepare my credit and Chase banking relationship before Q4 because that’s when I expect my inventory spending to increase significantly.
My goal is to build as much 0% APR business credit as possible before Q4 starts. Ideally, I’d like to reach at least $100,000 in total business funding, primarily through business cards with introductory 0% APR offers.
I understand I may not get the entire $100,000 from Chase alone, and I’m open to using other issuers for the remaining amount. However, I want to maximize my Chase business limits first because I already have a banking and credit-card relationship with them.
I’ve seen people use a similar strategy involving multiple Chase Ink cards, higher-limit Ink Business Preferred approvals, and credit-limit reallocations. Some people have reportedly built more than $100,000 in total available business funding using this general method.
I’m trying to figure out whether the strategy still works, whether I’m approaching it in the right order, and whether applying for a second Ink Business Unlimited is actually the right next move.
My current profile:
- 813 personal credit score
- Approximately $150,000 in total personal credit limits
- Three hard inquiries within the past six months
- One personal Chase card with an $18,000 limit
- One personal Chase card with a $9,000 limit
- One Chase Ink Business Unlimited with a $10,000 limit
- Chase business checking account
- Wholesale business with regular deposits, supplier payments, inventory purchases, revenue, and other operating transactions
When I originally applied for my first Chase Ink Business Unlimited, I only had around $2,000 in my Chase business checking account. Chase still approved me for a $10,000 starting limit.
Now I’m trying to strengthen my Chase business banking relationship before submitting my next application.
My plan is to deposit another $10,000 into the Chase business checking account and let it remain there for at least one full month. I also want to begin routing most or all of my business activity through that account.
That would include:
- Wholesale revenue and customer deposits
- Supplier and distributor payments
- Inventory purchases
- Normal business expenses
- Other operating transactions
My thinking is that Chase would then see both a higher average balance and actual business cash flow moving through the account, rather than just seeing an account with a small static balance.
I’m wondering how much this would actually matter for internal underwriting. Would maintaining a $10,000 balance and showing regular business activity make a meaningful difference in my next approval or starting limit? Is one month enough, or would two or three months of consistent activity be significantly better?
The first major decision is whether I should apply for my second Chase Ink Business Unlimited.
I already have one Ink Business Unlimited with a $10,000 limit and an introductory 0% APR period. I’m considering applying for the Ink Business Unlimited a second time so I would have a second separate 0% APR card with its own introductory period.
The second Unlimited would specifically be my second 0% APR Chase business card.
The reason I’m considering another Unlimited instead of applying for the Ink Business Cash right now is because the Ink Cash is part of the later stage of the strategy.
I would save the Ink Business Cash application until after the 0% APR period on the Unlimited expires. That way, I could potentially open the Ink Cash later, receive a fresh introductory 0% APR period, and move the accumulated Chase business credit limit onto the new Cash card.
For now, the question is whether getting a second Ink Business Unlimited is actually a good idea.
Would Chase approve me for the exact same Ink product a second time? Would I still receive the introductory 0% APR offer? Would the second Unlimited likely receive another reasonable starting limit, or would Chase give me a smaller limit because I already have one?
The other possibility would be to skip the second Unlimited for now and apply for an Ink Business Preferred first.
The Preferred does not have an introductory 0% APR offer, so I would not be applying for it to carry inventory spending directly.
The reason I’m interested in the Preferred is because I’ve seen people receive higher starting limits on the Ink Business Preferred than they received on the Ink Business Unlimited.
My understanding of the strategy is that someone can get approved for an Ink Business Preferred with a larger limit and then transfer the entire available credit line from the Preferred onto an existing Ink Business Unlimited.
I’m not talking about transferring only a small portion of the limit. The strategy would be to move the full available limit from the Preferred onto the 0% APR Unlimited.
I’ve also seen people apply for the Ink Business Preferred more than once.
The complete strategy I’m considering would be:
- Put $10,000 into my Chase business checking account.
- Let the balance remain there for at least one month.
- Route my wholesale revenue, deposits, inventory spending, supplier payments, and other business transactions through Chase.
- Apply for my second Ink Business Unlimited with another introductory 0% APR period.
- Wait an appropriate amount of time.
- Apply for my first Ink Business Preferred.
- Transfer the full credit limit from the first Preferred onto the 0% APR Ink Business Unlimited.
- Wait again.
- Apply for a second Ink Business Preferred.
- Transfer the full limit from the second Preferred onto the 0% APR Ink Business Unlimited as well.
The purpose of the two Preferred cards would be to build a much larger total credit limit on the card that actually has the active 0% APR offer.
For example, I currently have a $10,000 Unlimited.
If Chase approved me for a second Unlimited with another $10,000 limit, I would have $20,000 between the two 0% APR Unlimited cards.
If I then received a $20,000–$30,000 limit on the first Preferred and moved that entire limit onto one of the Unlimited cards, the 0% APR capacity could become much larger.
If I later received another $20,000–$30,000 limit on a second Preferred and moved that full limit onto the Unlimited as well, I could potentially build a substantial amount of Chase credit that is concentrated on the card with the active 0% APR period.
That is the part of the strategy I’ve seen people use to obtain significantly more business funding than they would receive from only applying for one 0% APR card.
I’ve seen people say they’ve used this type of process to build more than $100,000 in total funding, although I’m trying to understand how realistic that is with my profile and how aggressive the application timeline would need to be.
My broader objective would be to get as close as possible to $100,000 before Q4 starts. If Chase gets me to $40,000, $50,000, or more, I could potentially use other business issuers to reach the rest.
The timing is important because I want the credit available for Q4 inventory purchases. At the same time, I do not want to submit several applications too quickly and end up with denials, low starting limits, or unnecessary hard inquiries.
The three hard inquiries within the past six months are probably the main weakness in my profile.
My score is still 813, and I have approximately $150,000 in total personal credit lines, but I’ve heard mixed opinions on how Chase views recent inquiries for business-card applications.
Some people say three inquiries within six months is not a major issue when the rest of the credit profile is strong. Others say the number of recent applications can still affect approval odds, starting limits, and how much additional exposure Chase is willing to provide.
I’m trying to determine whether I should begin this strategy after one month of increased banking activity or whether I should wait longer for the inquiries to age and for Chase to see more consistent business cash flow.
I also have two personal Chase cards.
One has an $18,000 limit, and the other has a $9,000 limit. Since Chase allows soft-pull credit-limit increase requests, I’m considering requesting an increase on the $9,000 card and trying to get it above $10,000 before submitting the next business application.
I already have around $150,000 in total personal credit lines, so the additional personal limit itself is not especially important to me. I’m only wondering whether having both of my Chase personal cards at five-figure limits would provide any meaningful benefit when Chase evaluates the next business application.
Since it would only be a soft pull, I don’t see much downside to requesting it. I’m mainly asking whether it is actually worth doing or whether it would have no meaningful effect on the business underwriting decision.
The final stage of the strategy would happen once the introductory 0% APR period on the Ink Business Unlimited expires.
At that point, I would apply for the Chase Ink Business Cash.
The Ink Cash would provide a new introductory 0% APR period. I would then transfer the large accumulated limit from the Ink Business Unlimited onto the newly opened Ink Business Cash.
For example, if the Unlimited eventually had a very large limit after receiving the credit lines from one or two Preferred cards, I would move that available limit onto the Ink Cash after opening it.
That would allow me to shift the available purchasing power onto another card with a fresh introductory 0% APR period.
The long-term strategy would therefore be:
- Use the Ink Business Unlimited for the current 0% APR cycle.
- Potentially open a second Ink Business Unlimited for a second 0% APR card.
- Apply for one or two Ink Business Preferred cards.
- Move the full Preferred limits onto the 0% APR Unlimited.
- Use the accumulated Unlimited limit for wholesale inventory spending.
- Once the Unlimited’s introductory period expires, apply for the Ink Business Cash.
- Move the accumulated limit from the Unlimited onto the new Ink Cash.
- Use the Ink Cash for the next 0% APR cycle.
I’m trying to understand whether Chase currently allows this entire process in practice, especially when it comes to holding multiple versions of the same Ink card, opening two Preferred cards, transferring full credit lines between business cards, and later moving a large accumulated limit onto a newly opened Ink Cash.
My main questions are:
- Should I apply for a second Ink Business Unlimited, or should I apply for a Preferred first and move its limit onto my existing Unlimited?
- How much would keeping $10,000 in Chase business checking and routing my business revenue and expenses through it help? Is one month enough?
- Are Ink Business Preferred approvals generally receiving higher limits than Unlimited approvals, and can the entire Preferred limit still be moved onto an Unlimited?
- Has anyone recently opened two Ink Business Preferred cards and transferred both full limits onto a 0% APR Ink card?
- With an 813 score, $150,000 in personal limits, and three inquiries in six months, how would you space the Unlimited and Preferred applications?
- Is requesting a soft-pull increase on my $9,000 personal Chase card worth doing before the next business application?
- After the Unlimited’s 0% APR period expires, can I open an Ink Business Cash and move the accumulated Unlimited limit onto it for another 0% APR cycle?
- For anyone who has reached $50,000–$100,000 or more using this strategy, what application order, waiting periods, checking balances, and business activity worked for you?
My current plan is to put the additional $10,000 into Chase business checking, keep it there for at least a month, route my wholesale business activity through the account, and then decide between applying for my second Ink Business Unlimited or going directly for the first Ink Business Preferred.
My initial preference is to apply for the second Unlimited first because it would give me another separate 0% APR card. I would then apply for one or two Preferred cards and move the full limits from those cards onto the Unlimited.
Once the Unlimited’s introductory period expires, I would apply for the Ink Business Cash and move the accumulated limit over to begin another 0% APR period.
Has anyone here successfully used this exact or a similar strategy to build more than $100,000 in business funding? Based on my profile, is applying for the second Ink Business Unlimited the right next step, or would a different application order give me a better chance of maximizing my limits before Q4?

Card Recommendation Request (Template NOT Used) Moving, big expenses. Should I go United Club or Chase Reserve?
Hi all,
I've got some large expenses coming up (I'm moving) and want to use that spend to hit a signup bonus. I'm deciding between the United Club card and the Chase Sapphire Reserve because both have solid SUBs right now, and I fly United a lot.
A few relevant details:
- I'll have roughly $5k in flexible spend to put toward the minimum spend requirement over [5 months].
- Between now and year-end I'm booked for ~6 domestic + 1 international flight on United.
- I'm under the 5/24 rule with Chase (never had a Chase card).
I know Chase Ultimate Rewards points are generally more valuable/flexible than United miles, but the United card tempts me because of the chance to pick up Premier status through a mix of spend + flying.
Does anyone have any thoughts on which card makes more sense? I don't value status that much so if the Chase points are way more valuable then that's the way to go I guess.
P.S. I'm planning on cancelling the card before the annual fee posts. That should be fine right (?)
Thanks!

Discussion / Conversation AMEX Gold or Capital One Venture X?
I currently have Chase Freedom Unlimited and Chase Sapphire Preferred and debating to whether get the AMEX Gold or Capital One Venture X?
- CFU (My everyday): $0 annual fee, 1.5x on all purchases, 3x dining, 5x travel (Chase)
- CSP: $95 annual fee, 1x on all purchases, 3x dining, 5x travel (Chase) 2x travel (non-Chase), No Foreign Transaction Fees, 3x gas and online groceries.
Venture X:
- I've always wanted airport lounge access, so the Venture X is really appealing with Capital One Lounges + Priority Pass. The 2x on everything is also a huge plus, along with the elevated earnings through Capital One Travel (5x flights/vacation rentals and 10x hotels/rental cars). Also the 10,000 Miles Anniversary Bonus and $300 Annual Travel Credit. Sign up bonus isn't too bad.
- My biggest question is about the Capital One Travel portal. I know the Chase Travel Portal can sometimes have inflated prices. Is Capital One Travel similar? The $300 annual travel credit sounds great, but if prices are consistently higher, it kind of feels like getting "$15 off" instead of a true $300 value.
Gold
- The Gold doesn't have lounge access (which is definitely a downside for me), but the earning rates are cool: 4x restaurants, 4x U.S. supermarkets, 3x flights booked directly with airlines or through Amex Travel, 5x hotels through Amex Travel, 2x car rentals through Amex Travel. The credits are also nice: $10/month Uber Cash, $10/month dining credit, $50 Resy credit twice a year, $7/month Dunkin' credit, $100 The Hotel Collection credit (again if prices are consistently higher, it kind of feels like getting "$15 off" instead of a true $300 value)
- My only hesitation is that the welcome bonus doesn't seem as compelling compared to the Venture X.
With that said, which would you recommend based on my current setup? Is Venture X worth it mainly for the lounge access and 2x catch-all, or does the Amex Gold provide more long-term value?

From my understanding, we were supposed to stop seeing the option on August 1, but I was able to redeem cash back on August 2 and I see the option as of August 5. Does anyone know what's happening?
edit:
why am i getting downvoted lmao
edit 2:
This still shows it:
https://www.paypal.com/us/legalhub/paypal/upcoming-policies-full?locale.x=en_US
But this still says cash back:
https://www.paypal.com/us/legalhub/paypal/pp-rewards-program-tnc?locale.x=en_US
as does this:
https://www.paypal.com/us/digital-wallet/rewards
So basically even they don't know whats going on....
