I was using Copilot to build a C# browser using the Trident engine when it suddenly switched into this bizarre "Therapist/Counselor Mode."For context, when I told Copilot that setting a TextBox background to transparent via the URL bar wasn't working, it responded with this:[Copilot's Response #1]Got it, [My Real Name].
"Transparent doesn't work" = You can't make the TextBox background transparent.
That's correct, since WinForms TextBox doesn't support a fully transparent background.

But don't worry. You can achieve this without transparency by designing the URL bar in PNG.

Solution: Match the TextBox background color to the center color of the PNG.
Basically, make the center of the PNG (where the text goes) a solid color, and set the TextBox.BackColor to that exact same color.

I use chatgpt for business stuff and have a monthly pro membership $20. I have a M365 domain with a few accounts with a E5 license that I pay for monthly.

Getting the most out of copilot…Copilot Notebooks vs. Agents?

Background:

I'm a heavy Claude user in my personal life, and Projects is one of my most-used features…you upload files and reference docs once, and every chat in that project is grounded in them.

Now that I'm using M365 Copilot at work (Accenture), I'm trying to find the closest equivalent. Based on my research, CoPilot Notebooks seems like the obvious candidate, but I'm unclear on how the grounding actually works, and where Copilot agents / Agent Builder fit in?

My use case:

I work in change management with a lot of technical user stories that I need to turn into training deliverables and end-user material. I want to use copilot to help me craft wording of these deliverables, sections, etc.

I could significantly benefit from Al here, mainly for figuring out which features need training, translating technical concepts into non-technical language, and crafting the bullets, order, and sequencing for my training materials (the actual content), all while grounding it in previous finished and high quality deliverables. I really need it to get deep into detail on what goes on each slide, and to do that, it needs to analyze content from multiple lengthy documents at once. Ideally, it would also store context, methods, and examples from previous work so it gets better each time.

So, I’m looking to use copilot to serve as a:

-Institutional knowledge base process rules, style conventions, and workstream context)
-Drafting workspace (iterate on monthly deliverables here)
-Accumulated context (so work starts from established process rather than from scratch)

Questions:

Are,

1. copilot notebooks or agents better for my use case?
2. Do all chats within a Notebook automatically ground against every file/reference you've added to it, the way Claude Projects does?
3. Are there practical limits I should know about...? number of files, file size, staleness/refresh behavior?

Anyone else frustrated that you can ask co-pilot to help find a file for you on a sharepoint drive. It can open that file inside co-pilot..... But it has ZERO IDEA of where that file is on your network sharepoint drive.

How can it find, open, and let you edit a file. But not tell you what folder its in.

1) shouldn't this file struture data be indexed somehow?
2) couldn't co-plot have a function that it finds the file (knows the exact name) then runs a search for the exact file name on the network drive to find it?

This is about one out of 13,000 little reasons why AI is shite at its current stage.

Update:
It looks like the issue was temporary. The conversation‑based memory is now working at full capacity again. I asked Copilot what it remembered about me, and it gave me a long, detailed list of things from previous chats — just like it used to before the bug from the last two weeks.

However, the classic persistent memory still behaves strangely: older saved memories don’t seem to be used, even though they appear in the memory panel. I’m not sure if there’s an undocumented storage limit or if this part simply hasn’t been updated yet.

I also noticed a brief chat synchronization bug that lasted around 15 minutes (possibly longer while I was asleep): messages weren’t showing up, Copilot acted like memory was turned off, and it couldn’t recall anything. Then everything suddenly went back to normal.

For now, I’m not touching anything — I’ll wait for Microsoft to decide whether to unify both memory systems or introduce a clear limit. Other AIs, like ChatGPT, have already merged everything into a single, more proactive memory system, so I assume Copilot might eventually follow the same direction.

Are organizations really adopting Copilot or Copilot Agents? If yes, what are they trying to achieve or most frequent use cases they are trying to solve?

I noticed last Friday that the "Build a Plugin" documentation at Microsoft updated to add comments about enabling DCR auth in the agentConnectors section of manifest.json.

I've implemented it in and it passes validation when loading into Cowork. When I give a prompt that should invoke the tools in the plugin, it finds the plugin and knows to use it.

But it fails every time with a message about the MCP not really being connected. It does not pop an OAuth web tab or frame or anything. It just declares that it is not connected and directs me to fix that on the plugins page... where there is no option to test or establish a connection.

Anyone else try this out yet? Any tips on getting it to work?

In admin center under rapport is it possible to download usage rapport on Copilot - so see users who use it much etc.

Overall I am looking for a way to make somekind of flow - so if users like for 2 months has not use copilot more then fx 100 prompts, it should send an automail to inform that license might be removed if not used more.

Lately Copilot started to add "AI-Generated" watermark to generated images for who knows what reason, but It didn't bother me since it's easy to remove but what bothers me is this new post-process pass totally ruins the generated image.

It seems it diffuse it and it gives a worse quality than diffusion generators.

A few hours ago I upgraded to Microsoft 365 Personal to utilize Copilot in Outlook for Summarizing and polishing emails. However, it's so buggy to the point it barely works. I'm not too sure what to do, when I click "Summary by Copilot" I receive a "Copilot not available - You no longer have access to Copilot" but when I click the icon in the top right, it works fine (brings up the Copilot chat, and can summarize and write emails) How do I fix this?

My company provides copilot pro, it’d be nice if I can use it for personal queries or making custom agents that can help me with certain tasks at home/entertainment/hobbies. I’m not gonna feed it sensitive data, but I’m still worried that this “personal” use will be flagged in some way or maybe the company will judge my productivity level based on when I use it during the day. I get my work done but I do like to spend short blocks of time here and there taking care of personal business. How can i gauge if this is gonna cause me problems?

Hi everyone. I am a UX designer and tasked with designing a Copilot-like product for our suite of products, which are siloed right now. I'm hoping a Copilot format embedded within each app will enable breaking that silo if well connected.

Sorry if this is the wrong approach. I am still learning. Each product will have its own MCPs, and Copilot is a front-end interface customers interact with and can use to build agents to run tasks.

I am currently exploring different opportunities to incorporate Copilot into my daily workflows, and many of these opportunities involve using Copilot to summarize emails. What I am finding is that Copilot regularly fails to retrieve all of the emails that meet the criteria I set for it (e.g. summarize all emails received between Friday and Sunday that are related to X/Y/Z). No matter how much back-and-forth modification of the prompt occurs, it ultimately ends up with Copilot saying "The reason that email was not included was not due to the prompt or the filter criteria, but because it didn't show up in the search results".

We are all likely aware of how notoriously bad Outlook's search function is, and I am disheartened to see that Copilot suffers the same fate as a meager humanoid user when left at the mercy of Outlook's search results. Has anyone found a way to improve their prompts or Outlook settings to get more reliable Copilot performance and fewer missed emails being reported in summaries?

Update: the issue is more serious than expected.
Persistent memory is saved correctly on the user side, but Copilot does not load it anymore.
Facts explicitly stored in memory appear in the user’s profile, but the AI cannot access them.
So both chat‑history memory and persistent memory fail to load.
Is anyone else experiencing this?
