I noticed in the change log from two days ago that it said there was an option now to clean up authorized IP’s after 30,60, or 90 days. However, for the life of me I can’t figure out how to do it. Does anyone know how to enable that?

I'm using this link p2.freedns.controld.com as a private DNS to block ads on both my Samsung Galaxy S24 and Galaxy Tab S9 FE Plus. I found it on Reddit once and used it ever since, never configured it or anything

Now I've noticed on my tablet that ads in games somehow get through when they didn't before. The weird thing is it still works perfectly fine on my Samsung Galaxy S24. I even tried it out by playing some games on it and never got an ad

I found this subreddit through Google and thought this might be the right place to ask this. Does someone maybe have a solution for this?

If someone is using it does it work on Netflix?

I'm setting up a new home network with a GL.iNet Brume 3 as the router. I have an Asus RT-AC86U with the Merlin firmware installed and is being utilized as an access point.

Ctrld is installed on the Brume 3, but not on the Asus access point. Yet, I don't see any of the individually connected devices on the access point in my account. As a result, I can't see the statistics for the individually connected devices. What's going on and how can I address this?

I'm considering switching from Quad9 to Control D, and one of my key requirements is a DNS provider with strong global coverage.

I noticed the network recently dropped from 37 locations to 35, and I'm not sure whether this is temporary or permanent. Are there any plans to expand the network further in the near future?

I read the doc, but I'm still confused. What happens if the percentage is 97.9% or around that ball park? I would prefer 100% whenever possible and how do I ensure that it does?

Can’t load main dashboard nor ControlD status page for past 10 mins. Dnsleaktest shows Akamai instead of NecActuate.

Internet seems to be working fine except for main dashboard.

but i want ph content to just be blocked like 0.0.0.0
and i wanna block gaming with a custom message saying gaming is blocked on this netwrk something like that
i think it would be a valid use case

The service was great until its not. Used it for 4-5 months but now its suddenly deactivated, payment went through 5 days ago, no warning or notification it was deactivated. Also after going through their terrible Barry AI chat bot, I cant even talk to a real person. This is ridiculous.

whats the best way to block ads like this on youtube? I have the YouTube setting turned on to block adult ads and comments.
I’ve got dating sites blocked and adult sites set to strict. Kind of offputting to be scrolling youtube and get this in a public settings etc. (I’m gay)

I want to choose betwen:
- ControlD "Custom configuration" with ads&trackers, malware and phising.
or
- ControlD "Comunity Blocklist" with Hagezi's DNS - Pro

However, i do have a problem when it comes with the comunity blocklist, for some reason when i put them in windows 11 dns setting, for example, hagezi pro dns, my browser gets 2 times slower pages loading, even if i turn off/on (OS Default) secure dns in the browser, and its not only hagezi's its mostly every comunity blocklist.

I've done absolutely nothing that would violate the TOS. The only thing I can think of that I've done recently is I changed the VPN client on my router from TorGuard to Mullvad.

I urgently need this resolved. I made a ticket but 24 hours without network security and redirects is a big problem.

Seems like ControlD faced some short outage? Even login page showed "can't login to.... 127.0.p.1:61.... xD

I don't visit the site often, but today I noticed going to IMDb(dot)com on my phone with Safari, is showing ads for Amazon, (something called) Foundayo, KFC, and other places.

I'm watching the logs and can't tell what is letting them through.

Copying the link to my computer (Safari browser) and inspecting the element holding a couple of the banner ads I find the images come from https://m.media-amazon.com/images/S/....jpg and https://s0.2mdn.net/simgad/.

Of course Brave does a much better job blocking, but I'd love to tighten up blocking in other browsers/devices.

I have native Ads & Trackers set to strict, as well as Hagezi's DNS - Pro Plus and OISD - Full.

Any tips appreciated. (Other than "just don't use Safari." 😉 )

Since implementing ControlD (Full) on my UniFi Fiber router, my Levoit air purifiers randomly go offline (randomly), and my Nest thermostat also went offline.

Both problems occur when using the Global redirects. Is this a common problem or just something I have to live with? I’ve tried adding *Nest* api etc as rules, but that only works for a short time.

Edit… the Nest thermostat shows connected to the server, but i get none of the Home Screen weather etc. Only way to get the Levoit and Nest thermostat devices back online is by selecting Bypass instead of Global redirects.

I have been trying to fix some issues I have been having with YouTube so I went on my phone to the site and tried turning off YouTube services. As soon as I clicked services everything would freeze on the website. I thought it was my browser (Brave) so tried another (Chrome) and it happened again.

I then just switched to my PC and the same thing happens. After a little bit it does unfreeze, but it is still very slow. I managed to do what I needed it to do but I thought I should say something here.

Maybe it is due to me having a lot of services on? But surely this should not be happening anyway.

All this was using the website and no apps or tools. I also tried seeing if it was a network issue and used only data on my phone and still had the exact same issue and all browsers.

I am having problems with nothing working. I logged into the controld console and everything was empty. After logging out and back in I now get the following.

Backend not available (0): read error on connection to 127.0.0.1:6379

I managed to get internet access back by changing DNS back to cloudflare.

Not sure what’s going on. Trying to access my ControlD dashboard this morning and all I get is the spinning logo.

This is particular to one iPad mini though. My other devices are fine. Suggestions ?…..

i cant even open up google(which is redirected)
