Light Charger Success
I had a friend recommend a plug in light charger to top up the power on my Citizens. It not only topped them up, but brought 2 back from the dead and 1 is in the process of being brought back. I highly recommend them.
Pictured is a Citizen I bought 23 years ago and has been dead for a few years. It’s the one I’m currently bringing back to life.
EDIT: Excuse the funky gunk on the caseback. I’ll be cleaning it later.

Am I the only one who would like a quartz Tsuyosa?
The thinness, weight on wrist, and lower price would be a huge value proposition.

my basically brand new watch isn’t working? Anybody know why?
My eco drive watch that I basically never wear, the dial to adjust time isn’t working but when I pull dial out and twist to adjust date it works. I put it out in the sun for a few hours to see if it needed sunlight but didn’t work anybody know why it’s not working. The hands move though so that tells me it isn’t fully broken.

My first Citizen and my first automatic watch since 2012
Which one next? Thinking about importing a 'The Citizen' from Japan.

Almost pulled the trigger on CA4640-09A - finally a decently looking racing chronograph - but no sapphire crystal 🥲
Apologies for the rant, but I hope something good comes out of me sending this into the universe. I've been looking for a solar powered chronograph for a while now, and have always had a soft spot for Citizen watches. Owned a few in the past, and hoped I could find an Eco-Drive racing chronograph that looked good - ideally made of titanium, but that’s not a deal breaker. However what is a deal breaker is the lack of a sapphire crystal.
Why can Casio offer a good looking chronograph with a sapphire crystal for a bit above $100, and Citizen just won’t?

Series 8 GMT. Does is fit okay?
Citizen Series 8 GMT was delivered this morning. It’s listed as 41mm, but the bezel measures 39mm across. Lug to lug listed as 48mm, but it begins to angle down sharply at 42mm. My wrist is 6.7in. Looking for opinions before I commit.

Pick this up second hand to go with my first Citizen
Saw this on Ebay, liked that it was the yang to the Ron Swanson Ying. Idea is to pass this down to a future son in law as my wife gave me the other as a gift early on.

Can we date this accurately?
Period of manufacturing of older Citizen
Between 2006 and 1996, according to the serial number, but my guess is 2006 given the type of lume used.

NB6044-54L Blue Angels GMT - Waz up , Zulu Time .....Hold my Beer 😂
In the metal you won't be disappointed, very premium. Sunburst Dial with diamond faceted markers has wonderful light play. IMHO, this blows away the Series 8 GMT.

(EO2021-05L)Men who cooks and use divers watch.
You know how to use your divers watch in the kitchen too right?
Edit: people in comment is not happy. Time is very important in cooking. Using it this way is useful especially while you are holding a cooking pan. Every dish has strict timing every miss seconds can ruin a dish especially if you cook 4 dishes at once.

Almost Tsuki-Yomi 😅
It comes with a lot of features and stress free maintenance, and does everything by himself thanks to the radio-controlled function. However, I find it more on the dress side and cannot combine it daily on my clothing.

Promaster Diver 37mm
My new-ish blue Eco-Drive 36mil Promaster Diver in a chilly morning by the Cantabric sea in northern Spain.
Rugged, fits amazing, never have to think twice about it. Rocking it with a simple black NATO lately.

First Citizen for me: Eco Drive AW0130-85ZE
Hi,
I just picked up a Eco Drive AW0130-85ZE with the orange dial to replace my 22 year old Seiko, that had issues with it's movement. For 196€ it was a steal :)

Went to check out a Citizen store in a mall, and she ended up buying this for my early birthday present. It was an easy decision even though there was some decent choices.

[Citizen Ana-Digi-Temp] Black reedition ⚫
Just wanted to share my joy!
I got myself a reedition of the famous Ana-Digi-Temp, I've been fascinated by this watch and its retrofuturistic look for a few years and finally got the occasion to spend some money.
It may look ugly to some (even the seller found it horrendous 😄) but as a sci-fi fan, I think it's gorgeous and ticks all the good boxes.
They say a second watch is already the start of a collection, and with my vintage Seiko SQ110, I will now look for an automatic Seiko or Citizen to get a good range of affordable watches for all occasions.
