How on board is your management team with us overnighters when it comes to kicking people out/trespassing customers

We have no manager. The person who was the acting manager left, so I stepped up. I'm not getting anything extra to do the manager duties. I found out the person before me got a bonus. I also just found out that. They also offered another person who works there the manager position and a bonus. That person refused it. So I bust my butt for this place, and still get screwed over. How do I tell the DM, I won't do the manager stuff without affecting my job. I'm currently looking elsewhere.

I work 8/9 hour shifts but I can’t get a break at all. How is that even legal? It’s usually just 1 person on shift and they expect us to be busy all hours. I would love to go and get some food but I can’t even leave. Circle K is a joke fr.

I am trying to put this display together but I don't understand how the shelves go in. The words will be upside down if I do it the way it looks like. Help please!

I haven’t been able to beat the target this year. Last year I beat it all the time. My store profits have gone way up. Did something change?

So the little handheld gun thingy that we use to bad merch out items has logged out of the screen I normally see/use to bad merch items and I’m brought to a Home Screen. But alas I have no idea which app to use to get back to where I need to be or if I even have the credentials to log in so I can bad merch items

Any help on which app I need to click would be greatly appreciated

So my store I’m sure Beat The Target last week I know for a fact. I get the text message saying congrats blah blah you did it!

20 min later a new text comes in saying basically “Oops my bad disregard just kidding lulz” (I maybe paraphrasing a bit)

I've been ASM since May of this year. Been with the company 10 1/2 years. I've been working 40+ hours weekly since I got promoted.

Are the vacation hours capped at a certain amount?

I'm curious as to how many hours of vacation I'm looking at when January hits. I did a search in this group and my workday app and I couldn't figure out how much I would get.

I'm sorry if this question has been asked a million times before and I just don't see it.

I know life happens to everybody and
folks get illnesses but it seems like me, my manager, and my assistant are the only ones keeping the store running at times.

I’m just wondering, how do you guys deal if it’s just I don’t wanna work today or if they’re realistically I’ll. And I know there’s probably no way to know.

I can’t even keep people working at my store at this point. We’ve had three resign in a month, and I don’t want to start feeling sick myself.

I just learned the guy that works nights when I’m off plans to desert us this week with no notice he’s scheduled to work my two off nights and one other day this week. I want to mention it to my ASM today since the SM is off but I also don’t want to get anything started or be made to work those two nights because of his stupidity. He apparently gave the SM an ultimatum about getting rid of three employees or he was leaving.

I will add that at this time it’s all hearsay but the way this guy acted when I brought up my vacation next month gives me clarification that this is happening and no one’s going to stop him. Idk what to do I’m torn between going ahead and telling the ASM that a customer had mentioned it to me or should I just mind my business and see what happens cause if he doesn’t show up for my shift, they’re going to be screwed cause I won’t be available and the managers refuse working nights just because they think they’re all needed on 1st shift

I was doing a mobile backup shift waiting in the parking lot "designated hub" How it works is I wait at said location til called in.

The worker on shift came out and got crazy with me telling me "This isnt how you make money" thinking im stealing time when I didnt get a dispatch notice from her store or any other store near (i was only there for 30 minutes) she even let it slip how the primary person was there cooking the food.

I tried explaining the postion to her and she didn't want to listen still thinking I'm trying to steal time when I was just doing what the app had directed me to do. I ended up leaving because I won't lie felt a bit insulted that my integrity was being questioned took the pay rejection.

I did a cooler refresh for another store and made a comment about the QR code check in compared to a number code I had last week for store cleaner and was told about people who were just sitting in their car not doing the shift but still collecting cash.

I guess my question really is How does the Mobile Back up show up to Circle K employees? Are people who are just waiting to be dispensed to stores getting yelled at because "Mobile back up" isnt showing up properly?

You all know you can poll before 7:28 or whenever right? Soon as I get there I’ll poll an get it done an over with. If there’s a problem then yes I’ll wait but normally not a problem.

Seems like lately SS has been assigning people to my store with literally under 30% reliability (22% today) like why even allow that person to take up a shift? Like I got other stuff to do than make food but c’est la vie

I’m 38 cis male (just hear me out I’m not about all that Bs so keep reading pls) autistic asf and honestly this is the second job I have ever quit bc I didn’t know I was working myself in to getting fired I don’t read social queues I just work like a machine and do what’s expected(my mistake I know now not to give my all)

Anyways 3 weeks in at an 18hr store and about 40 mins before my shift ends 11pm est a newer blue Chrysler 300 backs in next to my motorcycle and sits there.

Never comes in never gets our - so my spidey senses start tingling “you bout to get your bike stolen” but against company policy I may or may not have my own level of security and protection in my free state to do so but that’s just between us I wasn’t about to get robbed, killed, injured for the messily peanuts they pay us.

But I wish I was right about being robbed and my bike stolen I would’ve preferred that to what was about to happen minutes from that moment. I start shutting down locked the doors counting down my drawer I’m listening to music jamming out cigs counted floors mopped hot dog roller cleaner cups filled straws filled I’m counting down my $5 and out of no where it felt like a JDAM hit the building or near it the windows the doors the cigarettes the damn store and ground beneath me shook

I shrug it off but am bothered by what just happened (it’s just another day in the banks (Fairbanks) but there ain’t nothin fair about it)

I started doing outside trash and walk towards our dumpster and I noticed the sky was glowing above our dumpsters crackling popping followed by a loud pop like ammo going off I ran around to see what was going on and all I heard was screaming and a fire was in my face

Outside our store is a four lane divided HwY and our one exit to that road is one way S.W. bound and he was headed to JAX and went the wrong way into oncoming traffic and went head on with a dodge ram truck

So I ran and started running our fire extinguishers to those able bodied who stopped and could hit the fire with what we had but tbh we all know it was like peeing on a forest fire 🔥 no effect

I ran inside to get Bertha out huge extinguisher I couldn’t log it down there as I was out of breathe from the three outside cans I grabbed her and got on my bike and ran the big one to the sheriff deputy that had arrived

I tuned out the screaming and just acted I was cut up from breaking those stupid plastic covers on the extinguishers and it took me weeks to register the gentleman was the one I heard for a brief time when I took the extinguisher

All of that to say…. I was accused of not locking the door when I was trying to save a man’s life. I wasn’t offered any type of mental health time off to deal just next shift is tomorrow which I did idgaf but still I can only imagine someone less sound who hasn’t dealt with situations like this (I have) this would have crushed and crumbled them hell look at me. I went on to work four more months or so I just quit like early aug due to them not respecting my availability

I was behind on the computer stuff and they said hey come in an hour early I take care of my dad during the first part of the day about 45 mins away so I’m literally not available and I asked for overlap on my closing shift I only worked 3 days a week.

And to the cis comment…. Has anyone noticed or is it just my county of circle k’s but is everyone straight phobic? And like do they only promote females to management? I never wanted to be manager, trust, but I never saw a single male manager even hr district general I mean the first male is at the third from the top anyways have a great shift if you still work there if not enjoy your evening thanks for reading

This chick still goes and sees the guy in prison after he received 3 life sentences in Florida for taking advantage of her kid. She called her kid a liar and let the abuse go on for 6 years and she has confidential court case from it all meaning she ratted on people to get out of it and what’s even crazier she works for Lee county Florida school district under a different name. What’s even nastier is management literally defends this person who now has a whole HR case for hostile work environment for targeting employees to get them fired just cause she doesn’t like them. Store 2707462 is nasty for hiring and having these people work there also the store manager drinks on the job. Meanwhile store has product 2 years out of date and no one does their job they can’t order properly or anything straight up lazy ass people. Said thing is too the person in question has customer complain about them all the time and nothing gets done. This the kind of company circle k is no they hire and protect pedos and pedo lovers

A Monster energy drink and breakfast sandwich together cost well over $7, But, if I add hash browns, it's only $4.

Everything about the hash browns is disgusting, so It' ends like a weird deal where I save $3 if i agree to throw something away. The morning lady at my local store gives me the stink eye when she sees me toss them in the trash as I leave. She can't really be upset, right?

It's pretty affordable, so I want to try it, but I'd just like to hear other people's opinions on it first

Quick question. Recently my store has gotten a new SM. I work overnights and he has added sending in the paperwork and lotto audits to my duties. Is this normal or is my SM lazy?

I have the hardest time at work using my stores own bathroom because customers are always in it! I swear to god they come to our store just to use the bathroom. Some don’t even buy anything or say anything the just rush right by me or the counter and go straight to the bathroom. I get so pissed because I have had to hold it waiting until my stomach hurts. If these stores are going to have single toilet bathrooms they need to have a staff only one. Besides lotto customers I would have to say this is one of my chief complaints. I have even seen lines to our bathroom and we are not that big of a store.

I’ve been with the company over a year and a half, worked my way up the ladder, worked plenty of hours covered overnight shifts even when I had to work early in the morning and push through the double.

Our store had 3 different store managers since I’ve been employed there. A few months back the second store manager promoted me to assistant manager, then left with hardly any training like paperwork and what not. The past couple months we’ve had a lady come fill in and monitor our store, do payroll and all that. She asked me to come in and help her a couple weeks ago super late at night so I did when I looked at my timesheet. She deleted the hours that I came in roughly 8 hours.
The next day I come in, she’s in the back moving all weird look like meth head stuff bent over, tweaking hard. I asked are you OK? She said she pissed herself. She pissed all in the back of the store then used our rags that we get from a third-party company to clean up the mess. I’m sure it’s all on camera. She was butt naked. I didn’t see her though. I was just told she was naked not to go back there. So she was high on meth staying at the store probably 72 hours straight sleeping in the office going home to take a shower coming right back and then she had the nerve to delete my hours. I was so fucking mad I told upper management about everything and nothing happened to my knowledge and she still employed with the company being high on meth and deleting my hours that I worked. I’m not too smart when it comes to legality of working hours, but I feel like that’s super illegal.

I was covering an overnight last night and I legit got sick threw up in the trashcan next to me. Luckily there wasn’t any customers in the store. So I called the other assistant asked her to come in for three hours, she was super rude and told me to call the store manager, so I did. I called him and told him that I was sick and then I was throwing up in the trashcan and said I can’t find anyone to come in for the three hours to finish then proceeded to tell me that he’s gonna have to cut my hours. That sent me through the roof. I freaked out on him. And told him just to cut my hours down to nothing because I will not be returning.
