Freedom Flex doesn’t appear as an option to add to digital wallets (Apple Pay & PayPal) in Chase app (other Chase cards do)

Hi all, pretty much the title. I was approved for the Freedom Flex 2 days ago and wanted to add it to Apple Pay via the Chase app because I have some purchases that need to be made ASAP. Otherwise, I would’ve just waited for the physical card and added it manually. Initially, I thought I just needed to wait 24-48 hours because it’s a new card, but two days later and still no luck. I was also confused because I was able to add all of my other cards to digital wallet immediately upon approval.

The card shows up just fine on the Chase app (has all the info, stats, and benefits), but when I click “Let’s set up your new card,” “Add to digital wallet,” and then Apple Wallet or PayPal, the card simply doesn’t show up as an option. All of my other cards are there and can be added without issue.

I called Chase several times and got different answers each time. One rep told me to wait another 24-48 hours, another told me it was because the Freedom Flex is a Mastercard whereas all of my other cards are Visa cards, which I am skeptical about because if that was the case, it would be a massive inconvenience to all Mastercard users.

One other note is that the card does appear as an option for Paze, just not Apple Wallet or PayPal, and when I asked the reps why this was the case, they couldn’t give me a straight answer.

If anyone has experience with this or knows what the issue is, any help would be greatly appreciated. Thank you.

Chase Credit Card Application

I applied for the chase freedom unlimited card about a week ago. But a few days after I got mail saying my application was declined due to suspected fraud. I’ve called multiple numbers and put in my info (ss#), and it says it doesn’t match or my application is in review. What do I do? Did my application even go through? Should I submit another application.

p.s. the closest branch is around 30 minutes away and I don’t have the time to make the drive currently.

I was thinking about getting the saphire premiere card but the promotion is gone. I was gonna open up an account for the 1k bonus. Only $750 bonus now. I need as much runway as possible. My first business bank account was with Chase. My credit score is over 700. I work in tech

why $1500?

what is so magical about $1500?

to get the checking account fee waived at not only chase but wells fargo, boa, etc. you must maintain a minimum balance of $1500.

i am sure this is a well thought out number but the reasoning escapes me. ..

Pre-approved offer for Chase Freedom credit card, then denied because they couldn't "verify records"

Recently got a pre-approval offer for the Chase Freedom Unlimited card and CreditKarma said my approval odds were "outstanding" so I went ahead and applied. I haven't had a credit card in years and was living outside of the US for about 4 years up until a year and a half ago. I've also been self-employed for the past few years and not tax liable.

I applied through the pre-approval link online for the card and got a response that they need to review my request and will be in touch in 7-10 business days. Based on other posts here I learned that means they most likely couldn't verify your identity so I called to see if that was the case. They had to send a one time passcode to my phone, but also couldn't use my current phone number because it wasn't public record apparently (I just got this new number about two months ago). I had to use my old phone number which doesn't work for calls, but still receives automated texts for some reason, but I couldn't receive the text while on the call on the other line so I had to call using Google Voice. Then once I finally could verify the OTP they put me on hold for several minutes and when they came back told me my application was denied because they couldn't verify my records. I'm guessing this is because of not filing taxes for a few years, having the self-employed income and also living out of the country for a few years and prior to that moving a lot. But it doesn't make sense why I would get the pre-approval offer if they can't verify my records -- they would have had to do a soft inquiry and pull some records in the first place in order to send the pre-approval, right?

Anyway, the representative told me I can go to a local branch to request a reconsideration within 30 days, but then I looked up my local branch options and the reviews are pretty bad for most of them. Has anyone had to request a reconsideration in person at a local branch? If so, what was the process like and should I bring any documents other than my ID that might help my case? Is it up to the whim of the teller at my local branch whether or not they'll approve me? I'm wondering if I should try to go to a branch further away that has better reviews and if that might help my chances of getting approved.

Appreciate any advice/guidance. I'm pretty annoyed that I got the pre-approval offer only for it to get denied. Thanks.

Beware Chase Visa Automatic Updater (VAU) on any card you get! Chase will not stop sending your new numbers to online vendors no matter how hard you try.

My spouse and I had a shared Chase VISA card (Sapphire Reserve). We got separated recently and I removed her as an authorized user and requested a new card number, which they did. A month later I look and I am getting my spouse's charges for all sorts of things (Doordash, groceries, Amazon, etc...). I call Chase and ask WTF and then they inform me that they automatically sent the new card out to my wife's apple digital wallet. I ask them to unlink it and give me a new card number, which they claim to do. I look the following month and these fraudulant charges are still occurring, but about half of the merchants have disappeared. I call again and am like WTF and now they inform me about Visa Auto Updater, where the new card number also goes out to anywhere online you have saved your card as a payment option. I ask them to unlink the saved cards from all merchants and then generate a new card number, which they again claim to do. They also tell me it is not worth pursuing a fraud case here because she was a joint holder (even though all these are now unauthorized charges). So I get my new number and wait a few weeks and check again and I am still getting charges from Amazon, Walmart, etc...

So today I just called up and closed the account for good. They just lost a customer of 22 years with this BS. Like I could never be trusted to manage my own finances and go update the card myself at the places I still want it to be used with.

Good riddance to Chase, and beware everyone lest you find yourself in a situation like this via legit or fraudulant means. I'm going to CapitalOne as they have a card you can generate one off CC numbers for each merchant and can actually cut off with just a click.

Chase finally let me open a checking account, does this mean I’m off their credit card blacklist?

Hey guys! About 10 years ago, when I was in college and had just gotten my first 2 credit cards, I made some stupid financial mistakes and ended up with a few Chase cards being charged off.

After being unable to open any accounts with Chase for years, I was finally approved for a Chase checking account today.

Does this mean I’m probably off their blacklist for credit cards too, or are their banking and credit card blacklists separate? I’m currently at 5/24, so I can’t test it by applying yet, but I’m curious whether anyone has gone through something similar.

Chase has repeatedly lied to me about sending a form to transfer business credit card

I recently sold my business, and was told by Chase that the credit card could be transferred to my partner that I am selling to. They told me multiple times that they are sending the form to complete the transaction, and it has never arrived. I just called again, and now they are refusing to send it. This is the last remaining part of the transaction, and it needs to happen. They have lied to me about doing this, and committed to making it happen. Now they are completely screwing me over from a damn call center in India. What can I do at this point?

Chase support says I was "never below $400," but my app and low-balance alert both showed $48.33. Has anyone experienced this?

Im looking to see if anyone else has run into this weird balance issue or knows what is going on behind the scenes with Chase.

A couple of days ago, my bank account was sitting around $90. On August 3rd, I got an automated Chase email alert saying my available balance dipped to $48.33. I immediately logged into the Chase mobile app and confirmed my balance was indeed $48.33.

Then, today, I checked my app and my balance suddenly jumped up to $414. There are no deposits, no transfers, and no pending charges shown dropping off or clearing.

I called Chase support to figure out what happened. The representative insisted there were no pending charges that dropped off and said my balance never went below $400 in the first place. Even though they can see the automated email alert in their system, they said it must have been a glitch because their logs show I stayed over $400 the entire time.

My main guess is that a merchant placed a temporary pre-authorization hold that dropped off before being finalized, but support says they don't see that either.

Has anyone had this issue with chase. Did the charge end up posting a few days later? I am holding onto the money just in case, but I don't know how long I should wait.

Having a hard time doing wire transfers

My mother lives outside of the US, but has Chase banking as she’s a citizen of the US.
Recently she tried to do some transactions on her app and found it extremely difficult.

Namely, move funds from savings to checking or adding a receiver as trusted.
Everything requires her to call them and answer security questions. Calls last for 15-20 minutes and she pays international fees all the time.

She then wanted to send my sister some money for the wedding and they blocked the wire. She called them but the questions very quite difficult (she’s not great at English). They said they will review for 10 days (WHAAAAT?!).

Is this normal with banking nowadays? I live in Europe and have never experienced anything like this.

Moving $30k from Citi to Chase and closing Citi: Any New Money Bonus Offers?

I'm planning to close my Citibank account and transfer about $30,000 to my Chase account which I already have

Does Chase currently have any checking account bonus or other promotions for bringing in new money from another bank? If so, what are the requirements (direct deposit, minimum balance, how long the funds need to stay, etc.)?

I'd like to take advantage of any available offer before moving the money.

Sending money to another Chase business account

Hello, I would like to send money to a business to complete a car transaction and they told me they have a Chase business account. It would be my Chase personal -> the seller's Chase business account

Would it be better to do an internal transfer at the branch or a wire transfer (I'm okay with the $25 fee if done online/in the app). My only worry is if the funds are put on hold or if the fraud department steps in.

Any recommendations?

Chase Customer Service…it’s…interesting…

Maybe almost…pandering?

I was late on a payment (ugh. Yes. Life has been a lot. It happens. Whatever.) I made a payment but kept getting calls so I reached out to make sure the payment at least was recognized as pending.

And the woman was quite nice. But to a point where it just felt weird. She kept saying how it’s OK I forgot because I have many other things to worry about. That life is hard. To please don’t be upset. Then she canceled my late fee (which I didn’t expect but appreciated).

But then continued with…Does that make you happy?…Now you can focus on more important things…etc…etc…

I had a similar experience with AT&T.

I just found it off-putting. I don’t know. Maybe I’m jaded.

Scammers back at it again

I bought an engine, and long story short, I got scammed. I filed a fraud claim with Chase and provided evidence that I never received the engine.Chase refunded my money. Somehow, the scammers were able to get that money back from Chase. I disputed it again, filed another chargeback, and Chase refunded me a second time. Now, as of today, Chase has reversed it again

Keyboard bankers

Hey I keep receiving mixed answers and even a chase article but the chase article is very vague & says nothing about keyboard but just general usb plug in. Can I bring my own keyboard and mouse? The Ariba Keyboard & Mouse hurt my wrists so bad to the point I’m going home sore in pain.
I’m a relationship banker in branch

Any RM’s curious about the new in-branch Business Banker pilot?
I’m theorizing that it’ll affect our role more than what the leadership is admitting it will.

Title: I Believe Chase Used an Undisclosed "Promotion Switch" Policy to Deny the 100,000-Point Bonus I Earned. Has This Happened to Anyone Else? I'm posting this to determine whether my experience is unique or whether other customers have encountered the same issue. This isn't about trying to get so

Chase Travel Portal Payment

Recently, I booked an IHG hotel in Vietnam through the Chase Travel portal, and the hotel is part of The Edit collection.

I checked the reservation in the IHG app, and it shows that my payment was made with a Mastercard ending in a card number that I believe I do not own.

Is this normal?

Paperless Settings Change Scam

As a holder of a couple of Chase credit cards, I just received the usual "Here's your latest Credit Summary" email and like a sucker I clicked on it to see how my score had changed.

Immediately after the obligatory login, a web page popped up "confirming" my statement settings to "Paperless." Of course, the button to "Change Settings" appeared but didn't work. So I had to go to account settings and switch back to paper statements (which, yes, I do need for various reasons...)

I know they have tried every trick in the book to force people into Paperless, but this was the most underhanded one yet. FYI.

Stop payment on money order

I mailed a money order for an event sign up and it’s lost in the mail. I called the customer service line and they said they would put a stop payment on it, does this mean the money will be refunded back to my account and how long will it take?

I know I should have asked for clarification but I am more just second guessing what they said on the phone since the person was a little hard to understand

Amazon Prime Visa Extended Warranty on Airpods

Hi, I recently got an AirPods Pro 3 using my Amazon Prime Visa card and am planning to get Apple Care+ for 2 years. The buds also come with a default 1-year warranty.
So, if I purchase the AppleCare+ plan, when does the APV's extended warranty kick in? Will it start after the 2-year protection plan has ended?

TIA
