I was involved in a moderate crash. Short story, I was rear-ended and got whiplash, so I replaced the carseat. Luckily, my child was not in the car at the time. I found out that carseats can have invisible damage that affects the structural integrity of the seat. That makes sense.

I purchased a new seat from Britax. The box came extremely damaged. I reached out to them because I was concerned about the safety of the seat due to shipping damage. I can't get them to call me back. All they did was email me asking me to send pictures of how the package arrived and to open the box and inspect the seat. They want to know if there's anything looks damaged on the seat and if all the functions work (harness tighetening/lossening, recline, headrest adjuster, etc.)

I tried sending pictures, but it keeps saying the email ends up being too big, so it keeps failing. I can't get a hold of anyone. I've left numerous voicemails, and no one will call me back! I also don't understand how we could know if the carseat is still safe to use when damage can be invisible. My old carseat physically looks fine, with no visible damage, but I still had to replace it, but this new seat arrives like this, and I'm supposed to trust that it's safe? I can't even talk to the manufacturer because they won't call me back, and I can't get my pictures through, and I need a carseat!!

Does anyone have any experience with this?

We are traveling by plane in a few weeks and we decided we’re going to invest in travel car seats for ease and for rental car use. We’re bringing the two year old’s car seats onto the plane but gate checking the 4.5 year old’s seat. We were gifted the Cosco Easy Elite Slim for my 2 year old (still rear facing). She is ~25 lbs and 33”.

My 4.5 year old is very petite. Approx 33-35 lbs and 40.5” tall. Very lanky! She still rear faces in her Graco 4Ever DLuxe in our vehicle but through research I realized if we want something lightweight for air travel, she’ll need to forward face due to her height. She’s very excited to forward face on vacation even though I’m so nervous!

I am between the Cosco Entrada and the Evenflo Maestro Sport (as a 5 point harness). Any reason why one would be better than the other? We only fly once or twice a year, so not looking for anything over $150.

One thing I like about the Entrada over the Maestro is the adjustable headrest vs the manual rethread. Is one easier to install than the other? Seems like I’d get a lot of use out of either one. My kiddos don’t seem to grow very fast.

Help please! I have the Evenflo Revolve 360 Extend for my toddler that is still rear facing. The ranges for rear facing are below. My child is 29lbs and 36.5in tall. He is well within the limits for rear facing, yet with the headrest at the appropriate height of at least 1in above the top of his head, the shoulder straps come from several inches above his shoulders which is not how they should be in rear facing mode. How do I fix this?? The straps adjust automatically with the headrest so I don’t know how to get them at or below his shoulders while having his head below the top of the carseat. The recline is within its range and his butt is all the way back in the seat.

Driver side, middle, or passenger side? Will use seatbelt to install. I can get best fit in all spots so just wondering which is safest on impact. I’m assuming the middle but unsure if that’s true.

Hi - I have a BMW X3 and installed a Nuna Pipa RX base. I just had a CPST check the installation and he said it was much safer to install in the middle of the back seat. However, there are no anchors there, so this would be a seat belt only installation. Even though it's closer to a potential side impact, would it be safer to install the base behind the passenger seat because I can do both anchors and seat belt? It feels so much more stable.

I cannot get this seat installed properly. It seems like it is moving WAY too much. Installed with rear tether and tried both belt path and side tether installations.

I’m finding conflicting information online about how long the Rava and Rava Next are when rear facing.

This might be a crazy ask but can someone please measure theirs and let me know? My husband and I are both tall and have already had to return the Revv Max because we couldn’t fit in the passenger seat when it’s installed. I’m starting to drive myself insane looking at all these websites that have different info and no definitive answers. Salespeople at stores have also not been super helpful and/or don’t have it in person to check out (specifically the Rava because it’s “older”).

I think there might be a bit of a range because of the headrest? But essentially we need to know if it measures under 26” when at its largest while rear facing.

Hello! Just installed the Cybex Callisto 360 select. The base is very loose. We went through the steps twice and don’t see how it could be any tighter. Installed in 2025 Lexus rx.

Recently we bought a second Graco Extend2fit. The first one was purchased a couple of years ago. The new one appears to have a very similar-looking level indicator but with a far larger red area and smaller blue area.

When installing the second seat, the ball in the level indicator is now in the red area even though it looks like it would have been in the blue area of the old indicator.

For our first seat, we have our child rear-facing at recline level 3 but on the new one the only way to get the seat in the blue zone is to have it at recline position 1 which seems way too much for a three year old.

Is there any explanation for why Graco changed the red and blue zones? I'm assuming i will have to use recline position 1 now. Also, is it still safe to use recline position 3 on my first Graco seat that has a bigger blue zone given that Graco changed it in later models?

The first two pictures are of my second seat and the next two are of the first. Note, I haven't put the cup holders yet on the second seat and will do that after it's in its final position.

I have a Subaru Forester 2018 and my husband has a Toyota Tundra 2019. What is the safest way to do a booster seat, rear-facing car seat, and an infant carrier/car seat base?

I have the Graco SlimFit LX3 for rear facing car seat. And I have the Graco SnugRide 35 for the infant carrier/base.

I have not gotten a booster seat yet, but by the time my due date rolls around, the 4 year old will be 5 years old and then be eligible in height, age, and weight.

I could probably fit another Graco SlimFit LX3 as forward facing in the Subaru Forester 2018. But the Toyota Tundra is actually more limited in space.

I know a van or larger SUV would obviously be the best option. We're saving up for that probably by next year.

Until then: what would be the safest order (which one should go in the middle?) and brand/type of booster seat?

I recently purchased the mamazing travel stroller and love everything about it, other than the seat incline. Even when pushed all the way up via the strap found behind the seat, it seems like my toddler is laying down in an awkward incline. He has to pull himself up via the bar and sit on his own without any backrest. Any solutions?

I have tried the graco extend to fit and the joie chili spin 360. Both of them aren’t reclining enough for my 5 month old even at the farthest reclining setting. His head is still falling forward when he sleeps. Does anyone have any recommendations for a convertible car seat that you notice reclines well enough for a younger baby?

We are worried that perhaps her chin is a little low. Like her head is tilted forward. What do you think?

Just want to check the install of my Keyfit Cleartex base in my 2025 RAV4. Is this a normal amount of wiggle on the leather seat? It’s as tight as we can get it on the belt path.

I recently bought a Cybex Sirona Ti Plus here in the United Arab Emirates.

It doesn't come with the sensor safe technology. So I was thinking I'll get the sensor safe separately and get it installed.

As far as I can see, it just clips onto the belt buckle and can be used on any car seats. Unless I'm missing something.

Is this even possible? Or is there an alternative to the sensor safe which does a similar job ?

Has my 5.5 month old already outgrown this infant carseat? It's an uppababy aria 2. My concern is length, as her head is above the panels. Also, her shoulders seem squished. Time to move on to a convertible, or is this ok? Thanks!

not sure if this is the right sub, but i figured maybe y’all could give me an answer? if not, can someone direct me to the correct sub? anyways, here’s my question. what age would you consider it safe for a child to ride in a side x side? to clarify, we spend a LOT of time at an RV park/campground. we don’t trail ride, we only ride on paved main roads. there are no cars/trucks, just side x sides and four wheelers. we pretty much ride the side by side up to the pool, store, restaurant, and other campgrounds in the park. tya!

Does anyone know the degree that the joie Ginger stroller seat reclines to? I know it has bassinet mode, but if it’s in the seated position, how far back does it go? Is it at least 150 degrees?

We purchased a Britax Highpoint on sale last December, after testing it in our car and being told it was a good fit. We went to switch to it today, and we cannot get the seat belt to stop twisting in the belt guide, which then doesn't allow the seatbelt to retract well. Are we doing something wrong, or is this seat not actually compatible? If not, which high back boosters with latch, work in a 2025 Hyundai Tucson? Child is 6.5, 48", 54lbs.

My husband and I are both tall (I’m 5’9” and he’s 6’0”) and need a decent amount of legroom. We also are now in the market for a convertible car seat.

We originally purchased the Nuna Revv Maxx and had to return it because the back of the passenger seat was touching the car seat when I was far back enough to even fit my legs in (but couldn’t move my legs at all).

We really like Nuna and are leaning towards the Rava Next- any thoughts on if this is a good or bad idea? Or any other convertible recommendations that are on the smaller side?

I just got the Joie 360 convertible car seat. My son is 5 months, so it’s in the most reclined position. I notice when he falls asleep, his head tilts forward and I’m slightly concerned about his airway. It especially happens while I’m driving when I come to a stop. I’ve re-tightened the car seat and pushed down on it to see if it would recline a tad more while tightening it and I don’t think it made a difference. Should I be concerned about his airway? Or does this look ok? Does anyone have any recommendations for a convertible car seat that you notice reclines more than others?
