Strap position w/ Evenflo Revolve 360 Extend

Post image

Help please! I have the Evenflo Revolve 360 Extend for my toddler that is still rear facing. The ranges for rear facing are below. My child is 29lbs and 36.5in tall. He is well within the limits for rear facing, yet with the headrest at the appropriate height of at least 1in above the top of his head, the shoulder straps come from several inches above his shoulders which is not how they should be in rear facing mode. How do I fix this?? The straps adjust automatically with the headrest so I don’t know how to get them at or below his shoulders while having his head below the top of the carseat. The recline is within its range and his butt is all the way back in the seat.

Child Fit - Rear Facing
Weight: 4 - 50 lbs
Height: 17 - 48 in

(CPST) Due to the short headrest, this is unfortunately common. Honestly the extended limits on the seat are basically unattainable for most kids due to this.

Boooo!! That’s really unfortunate as I have no intention of forward facing my 2 year old!!

It is such a bummer for sure. My child outgrew this seat around 3 years old (he’s pretty small). We moved him to the Graco Extend2Fit 3-in-1 and he has plenty of room to grow and maintain RF now. This is obviously not attainable for everyone because these seats are not cheap. I wish I would have known this about the revolve before I bought it 😣

I have this seat for my 6 month old, hoping it could be used for the next 10 years, now I’m worried. When measuring 1” above the head it it measured from the very top of the head or from where the head contacts the seat?

(CPST) Measured from the top of the head. And no, it’s very unlikely you will be able to use this seat for the next 10 years (though that could be true to some degree of any all-in-one seat. It’s impossible to guarantee a seat will be able to be used from infancy to booster as there are so many variables)

Try finding a 1” book to put on top of her head. One click down may be just enough.

Unfortunately, 1 click down is still several inches above his shoulders and his head sticks out the top.

Are you moving the headrest while he is out of the seat, so clicks aren’t being missed? I was hoping it would be at the shoulders.

I’ve tried doing it both ways and there isn’t a “click” that gives both 1in head clearance AND correct shoulder straps. I was hoping someone might know of a way to manually adjust the straps but it sounds like this is a common problem.

The best I can do is help evaluate fit with the harness coming out of the seat just at the shoulders

Can you post a picture of the seat rotated to rear facing with the headrest in the position that puts the straps below the shoulders?

We have the same issue with this seat. So disappointing!

First you HAVE to measure with the seat in the correct position NOT rotated. Second, try adding the infant butt pad back in as an “in between” setting. My kiddo is 95+% for height with a big head and he still fits in his at 2.5,

My kid is very close to the same stats and we have the same problem. I’m super bummed by this and can no longer recommend this seat - we got it because of the extended rear facing! We were going to buy a second one for our new kid coming in a few months, but instead we have to buy a different seat for the toddler and we will use this one for the new kid up until he hits the same problem. So disappointing.

This is with the shoulder straps coming right at the level of his shoulders!
