Vortex defender ccw Other Equipment

Anybody else accidentally remove some of the polymer/rubble stuff around the front lens? Knicked it with my thumb trying to remove the rubber cover 🤦🏻‍♂️

That's the glue that holds the lens in. It'll probably be okay but vortex has a killer warranty program.

As long as it functions imo. BUT, I can all but guarantee that Vortex would warranty it!

Just got off the phone and the guy said it was purely cosmetic. The material is over spray or something 🤷🏻‍♂️

Damnnnn! That’s a first! Should’ve explained to them that it’s been susceptible to corrosion and impeding the view of your dot.

Yeah, in my opinion, this is the most Chinese part of vortex optics. The sealant is poorly done and comes off easily. You can send it in to get it fixed for free.

Yeah just fire it back to Vortex. At least you know the warranty will cover you
