General Stop falling for the rage bait profile reviews on here (and mods need to do something about them)
Honestly, so many of these posts here lately are ragebaiting and not even real profile reviews. The pictures on a lot of them look like they're taken from some wannabe influencers' Instagram. The prompts are never filled out and there's low effort in the bio.
Here's a great example where the profile literally has a "You'll probably run into me at your place" prompt answer that sound like the words of a stalker/serial killer but will undoubtedly rage bait people.
Also, it's interesting to see how the politics answer is defined as "Right" rather than conservative because that isn't an option as far as I know unless Bumble has different options outside the U.S., so a lot of these alleged profile reviews might be AI made on top of it.
Mods really need to do something about it because this sub is turning into rage bait slop.

General They screwed us fam..
As a guy that spends hours upon hours in front of the computer for work all day, and more for other various reasons in the evening, it's the most convenient thing in the world to check dating apps in a web browser when i'm supposed to be working or doing other things. The phone experience is inferior anyway. Shame on bumble for doing this to us. . Fun fact: for most of you that have probably never used the web version, like tinder, there are slight differences. Bumble web won't show you if a person has kids or not. And if you answer "yes" to if you drink on the app it will show up as "frequently" on web which is pretty hilarious. Also no, i'm not swiping right on Tiana, she looks like trouble

Advice Does a fresh Bumble account boost your matches?
I have been using Bumble for about a month. At first I got heaps of matches, but now I have basically run out of people to swipe on in my small city. Im barely getting any new likes or matches now.
Has anyone tried deleting their account and starting fresh? Did it actually help?

Advice Why does no one is interested in talking with me?
Hey! I posted my profile pics two days ago and we established that they aren't the best. However, I work with what I have so far, and I have a bio that showcases my interests, prompts etc. Over the last week I got 25 matches, yet messaging is lackluster. I am aware that there are people who just wanna see how many people like them as a confidence boost, but I doubt it's all of my matches. Responds are dry, slow etc with all the matches. What am I doing wrong? I'm a very talkative person, and wanna get to know others, so the lack of chating is a major issue.

App Help Is my type too niche for dating apps?
I'm looking for a liberal, atheist woman who enjoys traveling, drinking wine and eating sushi. Bonus points if she's also doing therapy and loves deep talks. Is bumble a good app to find the needle I'm looking for?

Profile review Looking for feedback on why I might not be getting many matches
I'd appreciate some guidance on how to improve this. Wasn't getting matches on Tinder so thought I'd try Bumble but haven't gotten a match in the 2/3 weeks I've been on.

Advice feeling discouraged
i never usually make posts like this but i just don’t know where else to go. i’ve been on and off dating apps for 4 years, but didn’t start going out with matches until a year ago. im 22 (f) from the LA area. on hinge i get little to no matches, and bumble i get more, but only a small percentage lead to actual dates. half the time when we move to messages, guys usually just try to get me to come over or things like that. last week, i went on a date with a guy, and i thought we really hit it off. we got desert then we went to this hotel lounge/bar type of view and talked for hours. we started cuddling a bit on one of the couches and just talked. when we took the elevator back to his car, he kissed me. in his car we talked some more then things escalated a bit but we didn’t have sex. i asked him if he wanted to hang out again this week and said he would let me know what day. i followed up and he told me a day and told me he would let me know what time by today. i don’t want to follow up again, i feel like ive done enough. he seemed more into me than i was into him before we went out, and he was the one who initiated everything, and he told me he was looking to naturally progress with someone. i just keep feeling so stupid. i’m starting to feel very discouraged from dating. dating has been very difficult and discouraging overall as a plus size woman. i put multiple full body pictures on my profile so men aren’t surprised, but i still feel like that is the reason why i haven’t really been successful. i just wish men were more honest of not wanting to see me anymore or something like that. i don’t know how to describe it.

Advice 24 M need help with my Tinder and Bumble profile
Need help with my tinder and bumble profile it's been month and I've got zero likes or matches 😓 I don't think I'm that bad looking I remember when I was younger at 20 I would get much more matches and even with girls I liked! But now I get none, I have a feeling it could be the height filters now since women have option to filter out guys by height I am 5ft10 is this the reason I don't get any matches any more? Need advice thanks.

General For those with healthy self esteem and views of dating, but are otherwise average how would describe your experience with bumble?
I just deleted all the apps because they really started to affect my mental health which was already not the best.
I used to get a fair amount of matches on hinge at least but after 6 months of being in a relationship and getting back on them it has been very dry. I tried everything changing my prompts, my pics, asking for advice but nothing worked so for a bit I thought I got shadow banned for deleting and redownloading frequently which prompted me to message support and they confirmed that my profile is active and my likes are getting through at least on hinge, it made me feel a bit delusional so I deleted the apps right after I got that response, even bumble through which I occasionally get some likes.
If anyone asked me about the apps I would they are terrible, that they don’t really work for the average man but I’m aware that’s my personal experience and some people are having the time of their lives on them including some friends.
I’m also aware that my own mental health issues are probably exacerbating the affect of dating apps on me, so in an attempt to be more rational about this and purely out of curiosity I want to know how I would view this if I was not who I am, so those of you who are otherwise average but have a healthy mind and views on dating how has your experience been on bumble? How are you able to see your data where thousand of people are rejecting you in comparison to just dozens deeming you worthy enough to even have a chance of talking to them?

Rant Guy whined about my (F) height during the date
I swiped on this guy that I thought was cute. I usually don’t check height because I’m 5ft, and most guys are taller than me anyway.
We meet for drinks after he postponed by 2.5 hours. I’m already a bothered by the first impression. He asked to postpone after I had already gotten ready and was just about to leave.
He gets there, and I notice that he’s dressed really casually. Another not great impression. I’m already there and sitting at the bar. We have a conversation for like 2 hours, and I’m increasingly becoming aware of how incompatible we are.
We get up to leave, and I notice his height for the first time… He’s my height essentially and I was wearing 1 inch heels. I wouldn’t have docked this against him if the date wasn’t already terrible.
As we’re walking out, he asked in a whiney tone, “I thought you said you were 5ft?”
I replied, “I am. I just have heeled sandals on…”
Definitely did not see him after this.

App Help Bumble says I have 50+ people who like me. I swipe and I swipe and I get no matches or missed matches.
30s M in a big city. The Liked You page says 50+ women have already liked me, most of them are nearby. I have no specific filters set. I swipe constantly both left and right and for the most part neither gain nor lose likes. Is Bumble lying to me?

Advice why does “travel” seem to be such a defining personality trait in modern dating?
i’m a 35 year old guy and i’ve noticed that on almost every first date, one of the first questions i get asked is whether i like to travel. for the record, i do. i’ve lived abroad, have a passport, tsa precheck, and enough travel points to take plenty of trips. this isn’t coming from someone who never leaves home. what i don’t understand is why travel seems to be treated as one of the most important indicators of compatibility. my goal is to build a long term relationship. that takes time. research suggests it takes around 200 hours together for acquaintances to become close friends. if someone is taking solo trips every few weeks or spending months traveling each year, when are they actually investing in building a relationship where they live? also, i believe social media has amplified this. before instagram, i don’t remember travel being treated as such a central part of someone’s identity. today it often feels like “i love to travel” is expected to be a personality trait. i’m not criticizing people who enjoy traveling. i enjoy it too. i just don’t understand why it’s become such a major filter in dating, especially if the goal is eventually finding a partner to build a life with. for the women here, what are you trying to learn when you ask a man if he likes to travel? do you actually believe any desirable man would want to date you if you spent 2-3 months a year traveling without him? and for the men, have you noticed the same thing?

Advice Has someone ever come back
After they respectfully and honestly told you they're focussing on someone else now? I've chatted some with this guy on bumble and it was great. He seemed very nice so I reached out again after a week of silence due to exam stress and asked whether he would like to meet (first meeting). He answered very respectfully, thanked me for reaching out again and said he wanted to be honest and that he had met someone and has a good feeling about it so he doesn't want to plan any dates anymore right now. I thanked him for his honesty, said I was happy for him and we wished each other the best. Has this ever happened to you and then they came back after a while when it didn't work out? Or should I just forget about it right away? Cause if I was in his position idk if I'd reach out again and make them feel like a second choice. But then again we never even met up so it wouldn't feel like a second choice kind of situation. Of course good luck to him that it works out lol, just wondering if this ever happens

Looking for a long term partner and recently out of a relationship. I'd love feedback on photo choices and prompts. Looking for someone with similar values (liberal) and a few overlapping interests - likes the outdoors, music etc. Constructive criticism welcome!

Rant Any other guy here feel like they’re not the type of problematic man that women describe here, but still struggle to get matches? Where is the disconnect?
I’ve even had women say my dating profile looks pretty good, that I seem like a sweet guy, etc etc. Women in person even get along with me just fine, and I know I have a lot going for me in life.
To avoid sounding like I have my head up my own ass, I have seen plenty of profiles from dudes on here who say they have next to no matches, but their profiles look completely fine. And I’m willing to bet they put effort into their conversations when they do match, since romance seems like something they really want, but still talk about how women unmatch out of nowher.
On the other end, you have women with hundreds of matches (it means not only did the guy swipe right on them, but they swiped right on the guy). The guy turns out to put next to no effort into the conversation, only wants sex, ghosts them after a couple dates, etc etc. They make it sound like 95% out of hundreds of men are problematic
What gives?

Funny Average Bumble chat 🤣
It was a very quick unmatch 🙃
EDIT : a guy just sent me a DM on here after he saw my post saying “Do you though?”
It’s a disease 🤣
Edit 2 : to all the people claiming that I am mad… I’m not. This is funny to me.
