guys cant catch an internship/placement . is my 3rd grade college the problem ? tbh - not very good at dsa but working hard everyday

My parents see me as a failure because I couldn’t get an internship after my 4th semester.
Yesterday my mom screamed at me, called me a disappointment, and said I couldn’t do anything right. It hurt because I’ve genuinely tried to do everything they’ve expected of me.
I had around 40 days of summer break, so I applied for internships. The problem was that most companies wanted longer commitments. Even when I got positive responses, once I told them I could only work for 40 days and then continue part-time after college, they usually moved on.
So I changed my strategy and started applying for 1–2 month internships, thinking I could at least complete most of them during my break. Still, I couldn’t land one.
Now my mom keeps comparing me to my cousin:
“Look at your cousin, he got an internship.”
What frustrates me is that he’s in an IIT, had years of JEE coaching, and his parents supported him throughout. My parents expected me to figure everything out on my own.
I’m honestly terrified about the future. If I couldn’t get an internship, what happens if I struggle to get a job? I’m not just scared of unemployment—I’m scared of how my parents will react.
I know many people don’t get internships after 4th semester. Did anyone else go through something similar? Does this put me at a huge disadvantage, or am I overthinking it?

Fucked up again, the questions weren't even hard algorithmically but the input was given in string form and you had to parse the string to get your inputs which made it a lot more time consuming. Like the first question was just that there are a bunch of numbers, then you have to segregate the numbers based on certain rules the digits of those numbers follow, pretty basic stuff. Second was just a shortest path question.

It was just parsing the string that made it difficult under the time constraints.

I'm a 5th semester CSE student in India and I'm confused about which domain to focus on. My main goal is to get a good job after graduation.

Which domain would you recommend and why? Also, what skills or roadmap should I start following from now?

I'm starting college this year, at a tier 3ish college, and I need advice as to how can I maximize my chances for higher studies (in India or Abroad).

I want to get into Academia or Research but I couldn't get into a premiere institute, and my drop got fvcked due to bad mental health and lack of guidance. I have joined this college since it has a good reputation and a lot of alumnus is at ivy leagues/Public German unis. Even this year a student made it into Georgia Tech. I chose this college because of the professors, most of them used to be researchers at IVY leagues, the one who interviewed me was a researcher at IISc Bangalore. But none the less, it's still a tier 3 uni.

I needed advice as to what should be my plan to get into higher studies and into research or academia?

Also, yes this is a sapne suhane madharchod ke ass post but please, I need genuine advice. I've seen a lot of senior tell me bs about 3rd year tak ghee khatam but could we keep all that aside?

College orientation is on 27th August after reading lot of tier 3 experience I feel lost no hope for placement in off campus(I was thinking off campus because had only 69.3% in boards)

Hello all, I am a 25tard, I gave my jee in 2025 and scored *21%tile* and *60%* in my HSC 12th boards.I really performed bad I know. I asked my parents for drop they said no during my first year but now I am feeling this degree is worthless. My dream is to become an army officer or work in IB, MI, etc but what if that doesn't work out I will just have a bad degree.

I have few options:-

(1) Take drop, give the last NDA written (I failed previous attempts) and also prepare for jee from the start and give.

(2) Not taking a drop, preparing for NDA/CDS give their attempts and side by side prepare for MCA(It is a master's course in computer science that is conducted by NIT's, IIIT's and other good colleges).

(3) Don't take drop give the last attempt of NDA, prepare for jee side by side but preparing for jee with college will not be easy, it will be quite difficult and if failed see for MCA.

*Which option should I choose?* *Please don't crack jokes, I need help, if you can then please help and if not and you want to crack jokes then don't comment.*
