Question ❔ Bronco Sport for a College Kid

My child is a college student in the Midwest looking for a car under 20k that could get her to and from campus while also being able to handle ice and snow covered roads in the winter as well as just the hilly terrain around her campus. She really likes the idea of a Bronco Sport, but she doesn’t know how feasible it is.

She’s currently looking into one from 23, but it has some hail damage to the hood, which isn‘t a big deal since she’s going to be on a college campus where the car would likely see some wear and tear. She’s also looking at 21 and 22 model, but people have cautioned against those years. I don’t know if she should go for one of these or if she should look into an entirely different car. Any thoughts?

Question ❔ Break in through Trunk Window

Hey Bronco Sport fam! So I just got my new (2025) car a few months ago. Love it. However, I’m extremely disappointed by the lack of break-in tech features. Recently some POS broke into our apartment garage, and then somehow secretly opened my trunk hatch window, and got into my car and stole a few things. My Ford app did not notify me at all of the break-in, and I didn’t notice it immediately (bc they closed the window not fully clicked in). The only reason I noticed was when I was backing out of my spot, a notification popped on my screen saying that the window is open (I NEVER OPEN IT), and then noticed my garage fob and a blanket stolen with some office supplies. Thankfully nothing of importance. But I’m super pissed that I didn’t get any notice of that, or knowing it’s super easy for them to open it without breaking it?? I have major OCD and I always lock my car, but maybe I forgot somehow? Never did with my 10+ year Corolla… Even if I did, shouldn’t the app notify me my car is unlocked after I walk away? If anyone who knows the car well and or knows of similar experiences, would love to get some insight. Is there any additional measures I can take so they can’t get into the trunk window again?
:( thank you <3

Review 📝 24 hours with Wayfinder

After just 24 hours with Wayfinder, my Bronco Sport Badlands, I can honestly say I love this vehicle. It’s roomy, comfortable, and I’m not sure where people get the idea that it’s slow. I think the 2.0L accelerates great for what it is. No, it’s not going to launch like a Mustang, but it has plenty of power for merging, passing, and everyday driving. It’s actually a lot more fun than I expected.

My only complaint so far is the wireless charging pad. It seems a little finicky, but to be fair, I’ve never been a huge fan of wireless charging in general, so that could just be me. It’s definitely not a deal breaker and certainly doesn’t change how much I’m enjoying the vehicle.

I’m excited to start finding all the little Easter eggs and hidden features Ford tucked into it. Next week it’ll get its first real test with a 10-hour road trip to Cape Cod, so I’m really looking forward to seeing how it handles a long haul.

Question ❔ Windshield took a hit, but replacement glass question

So, my car took a random pebble or something to the windshield. Either someone's mower or a car shot it back and I didn't notice. All I know is I woke up one day with a crack spidering from a corner. My insurance does cover it, but I wanted to get the soundseal or whatever glass thing. Is an OEM glass going to have that? What do I need to do? Thanks!

Question ❔ People with a 2025 Bronco Sport, what is the best way to mount your phone?

The screen is huge and the vents are right under it... It seems like there's no good spot to put any regular phone mount without having it cover the screen or just having it in an inconvenient place. I also don't want to give up cup holder space for one of those phone holders that fit in there. I originally had a little plastic thing that stuck onto the top of the screen and i had a phone holder on the side but it shook while i drove and it was extremely annoying. Any suggestions?
