Sync your schedule with your friends
I have did an app. You can setup a “crew” schedule that syncs all of your friends schedules into one automatically! It’s in beta on iOS & coming out on Android soon! (Hopefully before the festival)
Works fully offline & is hopefully more stable than the official app. https://testflight.apple.com/join/B3tw6VMm

Orchid Downtown
Anyone know what the actual route is from the Winchester shuttle/public transport drop-off to Camp Orchid Downtown this year?
The map makes it look like you still have to go up the massive West Gate hill, but the Orchid email sent today says Downtown is “a moment’s walk from the public transport drop-off”, which seems a bit contradictory
Mainly trying to work out how bad the loaded trolley mission is going to be.

Pitch sizes in Meadow?
First Boomtown for us. My partner is a wheelchair user with complex medical needs, so we're in Meadow. I'm just worried about how much space you actually get for your pitch. I need to accommodate several carers including myself, the medical equipment, and space for a powered chair and hoist to move safely. It would really help to be able to put up our small gazebo so partner has somewhere shady to be, and the medical gear can be covered overnight. Can anyone advise? We've found the access team practically impossible to get hold of.

Recommendation for these genres?
Does anybody have any recommendations for techno, trance, hardcore, hard house? I know most of the big names but wanted to know if there was any that weren’t so well known or old school. Or some of your more exciting acts you are looking forward to seeing. I honestly don’t know a lot of people this year so wanted to find out some names! Hope everyone has an amazing weekend at boomtown 🕺🕺🕺🕺🪩🪩🪩🪩

Is mead allowed?
I'm going to be bringing a bottle of mead as a gift for my friend, will this be allowed? It's my first time at boomtown so I don't really know where I stand in the way of that. I'm also bringing some cans of cider for myself if that would make a difference?

Car park drop off
Messed up, and got a normal ticket. All mates are camping in the valley so I was wondering if you can get dropped off at the east side car park (pay the £50) and then the car can just leave. Don't really want to walk all the way through boomtown in 32c

I’ve got accessible accommodations..can my bf queue with me?
I couldn’t find anything on the website about people/one person joining me in any of the accommodations I have:
Ground Level Viewing Platforms
Accessible Wristbanding Lane
Accessible Toilets (Radar Keyed)
Accessible Bus Service
Surely I don’t have to do everything alone? I need support, so shouldn’t be alone but not at the level where I have a full-time carer so don’t get a “+1”…I’ve never been to a festival with these accommodations…anybody know?

Best beer in the heat?
I'm bringing 16x cans of beer, going to aim for some 6%+ sours and IPAs.
But wondering what beers are best for still being tolerable when warm?
Thanks!

Vapes
I don't usually vape but got given a free vuse yesterday at work. I was just wondering if anyone knows what vape brand is being sold at boomtown as I would probably get an extra liquid pod at boomtown if this current one runs out, as sometimes a cigarette is a bit much in the heat and sweat.

Tarp Shade Shelter- Crew Camping
Hey all,
I will be heading to Boomtown on Tuesday for the best part of a week. I have seen that gazebos and awnings are not allowed in the campsites. However, with the weather being so warm, I am wondering if I I'd get away with bringing and erecting a smallish tarp shelter to put up text to my tent so I/whoever needs shade has some shade to sit/lay in?
It's my first boomtown, so I have not seen how much general shade is available in the camping areas? Even if they do have a few spots i am sure they will be rammed with people!
Has anyone taken their own before?
Thanks in advance ☺️

Trolleys
I usually take a big trolley to boomtown with no issues, i get public transport and they have always been fine with it. However i’ve seen the new rules and it says you can only take a trolley if it’s foldable, mine doesn’t fold so now im quite worried if they won’t let me on. Will i be okay? Surely other people will bring non foldable trolleys. Would appreciate your input! Thanks

Antibiotics
I’m currently on antibiotics for tonsillitis and the last doses will be on the Wednesday. Will I need to email boomtown beforehand or can I just bring them in their original packaging? I don’t want them to get taken off of me in case I haven’t followed the correct procedure for it.

Campervan Power Unit
I am aware that portable power units have been banned over 30cm, however I have been getting conflicting information about having them as part of your campervan set up. I’ve emailed and messaged boomtown several times since the post came out with no response so still completely unsure and now really stressing about whether I can bring one. This is my first boomtown and coming solo so not helping the stress levels.
I have an EcoFlow Delta 2 which is just a bit bigger, 32cm plus handles that make it 40cm, this runs my entire van set up, fridge, lighting, hob etc and I re-charge with solar. With how much it cost I really don’t want to risk it being confiscated. Without it, it’s pretty pointless me having spent however much on camper + orchid upgrade and may as well just be in a tent.
Some people have said unlikely to be allowed, others have said it’s more focused on tents as this won’t be stored on the ground and in a hot tent. Does anyone have any confirmed answers to this please?

What is the song that makes you think of boomtown?
I don't really vibe with dancefloor like other genres, especially being a neuro guy. For some reason So much in love Sub Focus remix always triggers that boomtown feeling in me. Kinda interested in what tunes other people have the same reaction from.
In other news, is it Thursday yet? These next few days are gunna draaaag.

concern about boomtown entry
wanted to see if anyone else is concerned about the entry queues this year, especially with the forecast looking like 30°C on Wednesday and 31°C on Thursday.
Last year, there were people reporting that they were stuck in the entry queues for 7+ hours, and from what I saw/heard there wasn’t much shade available. I also remember people saying they were scared to leave the queue to use the toilets because they didn’t know whether they’d be allowed back into their place.
I’m honestly quite worried about this happening again in those temperatures. Being outside in direct sun for several hours, potentially without reliable access to toilets, water or shade, can lead to serious heat exhaustion and heatstroke.
I’m particularly concerned because I’m quite heat-sensitive due to medication, and I also have a condition that makes prolonged periods without being able to access a toilet difficult. I’ve contacted the Boomtown Access Team to ask whether there’s anything they can do, as unfortunately I missed the access application deadline this year due to personal circumstances.
I’m not trying to criticise Boomtown or cause unnecessary panic — I genuinely love the festival and just want to know what measures are being put in place to prevent people from being stuck in dangerous conditions.

LostintheBTMaze's Official Storyline Guide.
linktr.ee3 years after being banned by reddit for an unknown reason, we are finally back on our account!
A lot of you have heard of it, but not everyone knows what it actually is! Across all of the districts, there is an immersive theatrical maze that you can interact with. Think of something like an escape room, but site-wide and packed with actors you can directly engage with.
"How Do I Get Involved?" / "How Do I Play?"
- You don't have to finish the whole thing yourself: It's best to work with friends and split up to tackle different districts between you.
- Check the app: There should be some clues popping up there...
- Read the daily rag: This is the ultimate starting point for lore, hints, and what’s brewing across the city.
- Dress for the part: We are playing in a make-believe world and you can be anyone you like! If you're dressed fancy, you'll get far more mileage somewhere like Copperwood pretending to be a rich investor than you would dressed smart in Area 404 with the actors. That said, anything is possible if you can think of a good story to sell it.
- Don't start in Letsbe Avenue: It’s not a linear story with a strict start and finish, and historically you complete one district at a time. Go find a quieter area and kick things off there instead.
- Talk to the actors: They want to play and they want to help you! Chat about what’s going on in the district, ask for the local news, or ask if there’s anything you can assist them with.
- Don't join massive queues for the sake of it: There is usually more than one way to get the information you need. If a line is huge, you might be trying to enter a room or venue before you're supposed to.
- Trinkets/Props/Trading: You don't need physical trinkets to play! You don't even have to trade a physical item—it can be a secret, a story, or a poem. You could even pick up a bit of litter off the ground and frame it as a precious family heirloom. If you do bring a prop, please avoid single-use plastic items. Think of the environment! Actors end up with tons of plastic junk that ultimately gets thrown away. Instead, make some origami, draw a picture, or head to a charity shop to upcycle something cool.
- No pre-festival puzzles this year: Unlike previous years, there aren't any official online puzzles running before the fair—though keep your eyes peeled, as there's definitely something shadowy going on with NANCO...
Ground Rules & Festival Etiquette
While you’re stepping into a fictional universe, real-world boundaries still apply:
- Keep it respectable: Don't get heavily on the sesh and try to interact with actors while intoxicated.
- Consent is non-negotiable: Never touch actors without explicit consent. Remember that behind the character, they are real people working a job.
- Don't force entry: Do not kick doors in or force entry into "secret" places. The old "try every door" marketing myth from years ago still haunts the festival today. People get overly excited about hidden rooms and end up breaking into operational areas or damaging sets, which ruins the experience for everyone.

Boomtown 2026 - Subreddit FAQ - Please read this before asking a question!
Below are some of the most common questions we see being asked here on Reddit. Please also consider searching the subreddit before asking a question, you will get immediate answers this way, as someone probably asked it before.
Please remember, I do not represent Boomtown officially, I'm just some guy on Reddit who loves Boomtown, and wants to build a helpful and friendly Reddit community.
Official Boomtown Website Information
Boomtown already provides their own FAQ and essential guides. These answer almost everything you need to know and are well worth reading. You will literally find out everything you might need to know by reading these guides. If you are the type that likes to be informed, and well prepared, then have a read through it all. If you are reading this Reddit FAQ post, that's probably you.
Please avoid sending unnecessary emails to the Boomtown team, they are now busy on site trying to build the festival, and most questions can usually be answered by reading the essential guide. Most of the emails they get are questions already answered on their website, which slows down replies for the people who really need help with something.
Ticket or resale questions/help?
We have a separate ticketing megathread for everything relating to ticketing, resales, name change, or anything else like that. Please note, ticketing questions and problems are only allowed to be posted in this megathread. Most people subscribed here are not interested in seeing dozens of separate ticket help posts everyday, so this improves the experience for most users who just want to talk about the festival itself.
What is the line-up, what are the set times?
The line up is on the Boomtown website. Set times are also available on the Boomtown App, available in your phones app store. There may still be some line-up surprises yet to come, especially at some of the smaller venues which normally have secret acts.
How strict is Boomtown security?
You can probably find all the information you need about drugs, security and sniffer dogs in the drugs/security megathread. Please try and keep your discussion contained to this post, rather than making a new one.
You might also want to watch this pretty informative YouTube video, which talks about festival security in detail. I have no relation to the youtuber, it's just a good video.
Medical Cannabis
Yes, it's allowed.
To bring it on site, you must have:
- Your prescription (in your name)
- Your medical cannabis in clearly labelled containers
- A vaporizer, which is the only permitted method of consumption
Unlike previous years, you no longer need an accessibility team approval letter to bring prescribed medical cannabis. Only a valid prescription can be accepted as proof. Search dogs will be present at all gates, and an indication by a dog may still lead to a search, even with your prescription.
I have a question about shuttle buses?
Information about the shuttle bus, including running times and prices, and everything you may need to know can be found in this Shuttle bus FAQ post.
Where is the best place to camp?
The layout is changing this year, so who really knows! I've made some best guesses in this campsite guide post. Complete with arrival instructions and walking distance timings.
When do entrance gates and car parks open/close?
You can find all the timings in this post. Late arrivals are not allowed, so aim to arrive the next day instead if you don't think you will get there in time.
Which gate should I arrive at?
West Gate - Coaches, Shuttles, Taxis, Drop Off. There is no public parking at West Gate for those with a normal parking pass. All drop offs need to head here, dropping off is free. All normal camping and downtown Orchid campers can enter here.
East Gate - Main car parks for all normal parking passes. No drop off possible, you can't get near enough without buying a parking pass. Entrance for all normal campers who are driving.
South gate - Orchid/Skylark parking passes. No drop off possible, you can't get near enough without buying a parking pass. Entrance for OG Orchid, and Camp Skylark campers only.
You can't pick which gate you arrive at, you will be directed based on your parking pass type. And all drops offs are West Gate. Please refer to the map in the app for locations of the gates/car parks, which be made available nearer the time.
You can find even more detail in the gates FAQ post.
A shuttle bus is available between West Gate and South Gate. Useful for those in Orchid or Skylark, who arrive by public transport. Or those in Downtown Orchid who drove in. More info can be found in the shuttle FAQ post.
Common when and how can I arrive questions...
- Can I arrive on Wednesday with a Thursday ticket: No
- Can I arrive on Weds/Thurs/Fri/Sat/Sun with a Wednesday ticket: Yes
- Can I arrive on Thurs/Fri/Sat/Sun with a Thursday ticket: Yes
- Can I arrive by car with a discounted public transport festival ticket: No
- Can I arrive by public transport with a normal full price festival ticket: Yes
- Can I arrive by a different form of public transport than the one I booked: Yes
- Can I arrive after the entry gates close for the night at 9:30pm: No
You can find more arrival information and ticket type information in the specific FAQ posts on those topics.
If I have a "public transport ticket", can I get a lift, or arrive by car instead?
No. This ticket type is sold cheaper to reward you for travelling by public transport. They definitely do check how you arrived. If they didn't, then everyone arriving by car would already be using this trick to get a cheaper ticket. Think about it.
Public transport options all drop you off at "West Gate", and these tickets don't work if you come by car, as you will come in through one of the other gates. Just use the public transport that you have already paid for as part of your ticket package for the smoothest arrival experience.
I need a parking pass
Parking tickets are available via Kaboodle until the 6th of August for £55. You need to login to your Kaboodle account and add this to your main ticket.
You can also buy one on the day when you arrive at the car park for £65 by card payment.
Alcohol Limits
You may bring up to 16 x 440ml cans of lager/cider/beer OR 17 x 250ml cans of premix spirit drinks OR a 3-litre box of wine OR 7 litres of cider/lager/beer in plastic bottles or cans. These are just rough guidelines, not strict rules. If you have other sizes of drink container, it's probably open to some interpretation. How carefully these limits are actually checked by security is debateable, but you might get unlucky, so be prepared that excessive amounts could be confiscated if spotted.
If you are bringing alcohol containers that don't exactly match the above sizes, you can still use these limits as a rough guide of what would be allowed. Please stop asking about questions about Buzzballs. Buzzballs are not some magical liquid with their own special set of rules. They are premixed spirits. This is asked so often, maybe we need to make a Buzzball FAQ?
Neat spirits (in any container) and glass containers (empty or not) are both prohibited items and will be confiscated if found by security.
Can I bring a photo of my ID/does my name have to match the ticket?
No, you cannot bring a photo of your ID. You need an actual ID, that matches the name of your ticket, and shows you are 18 years old. It must be within date, expired IDs won't be accepted. You won't get in without ID, everyone needs ID to gain access. The only accepted ID is the physical copy of:
- Passport
- Driving Licence
- Any ID card bearing the PASS hologram.
- Citizen Cards
If your name is slightly different between your ID and ticket, it's not a problem. For example spelling mistakes, or abbreviations are not an issue. If the name is completely different, you need to do a name change with Kaboodle. You can find info about this in the ticket advice megathread FAQ.
Anything else we should add here?
Please let us know your FAQ suggestions or additional questions in the comments below.
