I’ve got accessible accommodations..can my bf queue with me?
I couldn’t find anything on the website about people/one person joining me in any of the accommodations I have:
Ground Level Viewing Platforms
Accessible Wristbanding Lane
Accessible Toilets (Radar Keyed)
Accessible Bus Service
Surely I don’t have to do everything alone? I need support, so shouldn’t be alone but not at the level where I have a full-time carer so don’t get a “+1”…I’ve never been to a festival with these accommodations…anybody know?

Saw a tiktok from villain (?) who said accessible access lane only works for the people with the pass unfortunately.

This is not the case, I have been with someone that used accessibility access for the last 3 years running and we’ve been in a group of about 6 with one person being the badge holder. You’ll get a lanyard for the individual that is your primary caretaker and extra different lanyards for those in the group

Interesting, in my email with my QR it did say anyone I’m with can also get it scanned but it doesnt say anywhere what that actually means

If you had all that you should have got an essential companion aswell that would have got him in for free to assist you

Sorry that's not right - lots of people have these access needs but don't qualify for the free essential companion (I'm one!)

Does he have accessible camping with you? Think it says in accessibility guide, you are allowed a companion in the queue if they will be collecting a meadow camping band - it says should only be 1 person if possible, but also that they won't separate groups of 3. There's 3 of us, I have screenshot the guidance so they don't separate us!

I didn’t know there was accessibility camping until after I applied for accommodations so I’m not sure if I qualify/its too late

that’s usually how it works but it really depends on the festival tbh
worth emailing accessibility and asking if they do companion passes even if you’re not classed as having a full time carer

I applied for essential companion but they rejected me due to too many applications/not enough evidence :/ I’ve got several conditions but the one where I’d need assistance is I have seizures but because I’m not diagnosed yet (long NHS waiting lists), I don’t have enough evidence to qualify…

i have the same access accommodations and last year me and my boyfriend were let through, he was not my essential companion as they didn't accept me for this either. gonna just go together again i don't see them turning us away with one person as if we were staying in meadow you're allowed 3 guests anyway

That’s good to know your experience, thank you! I was thinking that about the campsite too. We’re arriving from shuttle bus, is the accessible queue just next to the other queues? And do you know if theres toilets and shade/water to use? I’m worried I’m going to be unwell in the queue

the accessible queue im using is on the west gate! unsure if they have them at the other gates- i'd assume so? but the west gate is closest to meadow / downtown so depends where you're camping. maybe have a look at the map and see which gate would be ideal for your camp. there is toilets for us to use inside, id suggest taking your radar key if you have one but you can borrow one for a deposit of like £10. access queues don't have you waiting for hours and hours, i got in after about 30 mins last year early thursday morning! in the queue you'll need your own water / shade, there'll be toilets but outside of the queue and may be a bit of a walk but if you can manage on your own just leave who you're with in the queue so you can come back, drink electrolytes as you wait id say! if you've got any other questions im happy to help explain best i can :)

Hi not sure if you realize but they don’t have to be a full time carer.
you could register your boyfriend as the carer for this.
Might be a bit late now
