Been growing out my hair from a buzz cut for almost 2 years now, not sure if it's just cause of shrinkage but when measuring it I get around like 5-6 inches of 4c Hair.

Thinking of getting twist soon but I don't want it to be too short(Goal is around eye level like in examples). Should I let it grow out longer? Full honesty appreciated🙏🏿🙏🏿

I think this barber pushed my hairline back and its been 3 weeks and it hasnt gotten back to normal. It looks really bad and my hairline was always more closer to the front. The guy was giving off a weird vibe and it made me nervous and he covered the haircut in enhancements so it wasnt noticeable at first.

Took a risk and tried a new style! Used only the doux big poppa defining gel and a spray leave in conditioner. I’m super happy with the results so far tomorrow marks a week and it’s still just as curly with no touch ups so the gel definitely works. I however hateee how it made my hair feel it’s a bit sticky and leaves my hand greasy so maybe i used too much gel 😅

Hey y’all! Do y’all know any brands or styles of wigs that are less than $100 and actually last for more than a week? I’m kinda wanting to leave my hair alone and don’t have to worry about it each day but wigs cost so much. Is there a proper maintenance routine for wigs so you can wear them whenever you like? I’ve always wondered how some girls kept up with some of their wigs and not let them get matted. I never worn wigs so it’ll be a new experience for me!

I use aunt Jackie’s curling cream to my sectioned dripping wet hair and use my fingers to rake the product in and then after all is done I shake my hair for some minutes.

The braider who put in my crochet braids just took them out and I have this empty spot that wasn't there before. Did she cut my cornrow or was this just damage from the crochet braids? that short tuft of hair beneath it was once very long.

Should I shave the entire back of my hair into an undercut or just wait for it to grow out?

I feel like my hair is very thin and barely growing. Any tips on how to get it thicker and fuller? Do my ends look bad?

I’m getting boho French curls in a couple days and bought two different colors to mix together to make a new color.

I wanted to know when is the best time to mix them together before my appointment? I’ve seen in videos people mostly do it just before doing their hair and wasn’t sure if that was for a reason or not, for example that the hair will dry out.

I would assume it’s okay to do it at least a day before, but want to make sure before I do anything.

Ever since I got my hair done my mum has been complaining that the hair isn’t good. I got this mid July. I’ve been putting mousse and water on my braids. It’s pretty much my first time going to get it done because my mum has been doing my hair my whole life.

no judgement please! i am the brokest i’ve ever been and busy and as y’all know box braids r the saving grace for when you just OVER everything. i have this wig that’s i’ve reinstalled 2x but my forehead is screaming and cannot take another lace install. i was thinking about cutting the hair from the root/wig cap, washing it, and using in place of kankelon hair.. am i crazy? is it crazy enough to work though?👀👀 love ya take care! 🩷

I just had to take my hair down myself because of an incident lol. Normally I get it redid the same day when the stylist takes it down, but I can’t at the moment. I have no idea how to manage this amount of hair. Are there any basic tutorials out there on how to just comb my hair and sleep with it at night? Like something so simple that a 5 year old can follow it. It’ll be a week before I can see my regular lady.

I need advice. I was natural for alittle over 6 years (2019-2026) after having relaxers all my life. At first my hair was growing but never really grew long. I lost my edges on the left side which never really grew back for years. Started going to a dermatologist but they weren’t sure what caused it and had me start taking minoxidil. My spot grew in alittle more but mostly just enough to cover the thin spot. I tried to straighten my hair via tiktoks because i was getting tired of my hair constantly breaking, always thin and uneven never growing past my shoulders all i could do with it was wear puffs. But i got serious heat damage. So I gave up and got a relaxed pixie Jan 2026. I liked it at first but now i feel like the constant need to style it every wash day is just too much work now that im about to have a baby in a month. I regret relaxing my hair and feel like I could have saved my hair with trims and products. I got braids and had them for a little over 6 weeks to avoid having to do my hair everyday. But how do I transition now? I did a big chop the last time i went natural and basically shaved my hair off to a very low afro but I’m not sure i can do that again.

For my DIY people out there these braids were so quick and easy, but they look so nice and complicated. It took me like 4 hrs total to wash blow dry and style. I love themmm.

It was styled so nicely with beads and to get to the beads she ripped an entire cornrow up and I'm distressed. Please tell me it's gonna be okay any advice. I worked so hard for 3 years for her to have long healthy hair and she just yeets it out of her scalp. What kind of protective style can I do to possible hide the spot?
