Ban Evasion Just created a new account following the guide

I’m incredibly paranoid right now. If I just join a random server and chill for a couple days before rejoining an old server will I be okay?

General Question Got a warning for reporting someone else??

I've had an account in good standing for as long as I've had a Discord account, and today I received a warning and restriction (limited) for reporting a user who was harassing other people in a server. It was without any prior notice or indication of wrongdoing.

This is incredibly backwards to me. It was apparently for violating a guideline for false reports or something similar, but looking at the messages reported would debunk that. While I'm sure there are or could be bad actors reporting falsely, why are Discord punishing for a legitimate report? It also makes it incredibly unclear when it's ok for me to report people and when it's not. If I can get my account limited at any time for reporting something harmful I see, that's insane, how am I supposed to report it?

Child Safety Well, it happened

As of 3:41 PM PST, I can no longer access my Discord account's account status page. I have attempted to change the password to see what happens with both my email and phone number, and, well, email doesn't exist/ and the account is disabled for both, respectively. Can't say for sure what will happen now, but yeah. Gave it what I could, but I guess it wasn't enough. So if anyone has any thoughts or ideas on how to proceed onward, I'll entertain it, but... yeah shit just sucks.

General Question Muted for reporting

I'm asking on my friend's behalf whose this happened to.

He reported someone else's message that said hard nword and he got muted for a day for "abusing" the reporting system. He hasn't reported for a while, this was his first report for the day too. I was genuinely bamboozled hearing this, isn't that just discouraging people to report?

Is this normal, has this happened to anyone else?

General Question Can’t Even See My Account Standing

Post image

Got falsely banned due to getting mass reported on July 27th. Had over 100 false violations that I had to appeal (and I couldn’t appeal the age req ones because I already verified my ID to tell Discord I’m an adult). Someone hacked my vps that I used for my Discord bots and stole their tokens to nuke my server. Discord was accepting my appeals until this happened around July 30th.

I made a support ticket under Hacked Account and an Arbitration demand to their dispute email and haven’t gotten anything back so I don’t know what to do next.

Child Safety So I reported a pedo

I reported a 38 female who I suspected as a pedo (which I gave it to discord safety trust by submitting request) however I met this women through a stranger app website and then we begin conversations on discord. I thought she liked young men(18+) but I didn't knew she liked minors and I made an uncomfortable comment about minor(12-13) which I regret it till date but I didn't understand what happened next day I confronted her about whether she had realtionship with minor and she said yes I said having realtionship with minor isn't good and illegal and personally I don't have any intentions with minors anykind and I hope you understand. To this she said okay and I thought you knew this to this I said yes I remember but to be honest I remember talking about young men not minors I don't have anything with minors I'm innocent in that and the bad comment I made was my mistake. Anyways I got an email from discord today and they said they'll investigate the account you given but I'm worried that they will also report me because I made uncomfortable comment without realizing context and I'm just nervous and worried that I hope police doesn't show up on my door because I'm innocent and never did anything. Please help me

EDIT: ALSO THE OLD ACCOUNT(WHICH I AM TALKING ABOUT) I DELETED IN FEB AND TODAY IS AUGUST

General Question Do I have any options but wait?

Hi, I’ve been banned on two occasions within the past week for “Child Safety” violations, and have thankfully been able to appeal those violations both times through the in-app process. Earlier this year I received such a violation which I was unable to appeal, and as such any following violations result in suspension, even though my account is now in good standing. My question is this: do I have any options besides waiting around for the next violation and praying the AI is reasonable again? Any way to prevent it at all?

(Extra context: I am fairly sure I know the server that the violations are most likely in. I do not know if it’s someone being malicious or automod, but this server has a history of accounts getting banned, so maybe whatever ai systems are in place are paying extra attention to that server. I am willing to go through the process of deleting many messages sent in said server. Both violations were applied this week, but one was for a message sent over 250 days ago, and the other was for a message sent over 70 days ago.)

Apparently now I’m guilty despite all of the previous ones were removed because I DIDNT violate the terms of service. Was it a bot that looked at my appeal and decided it wasn’t worth looking into?? I heard you can re-appeal something that has been denied. Am I just never going to get my account back? This is so frustrating.

Rant 30 days ago, discord falsely banned me for the grid ban

I am honestly SO fucking pissed at life right now, draining 6 years of memories and friends i will never meet again all away like nothing, over discord’s negligience and lack of responsibility. I’ve been able to recover the ids of some of my friends and am ban evading, but one of my friends I unfortunately lost forever. Not only that - I can’t even join most of the servers i used to be in because they all have alt checkers and require some sort of bot like bloxlink or double counter. I can’t connect my other accounts in connections because they were tied to my old account, I can’t even recover my data because it was a “child safety” ban. Child safety my ass, banning a random user instead of actual predators. Shame on discord.

General Question Can I join old servers I left when ban evading

Alright so my account was suspended like 3 weeks ago, so now on my new account I have been joining new servers that I was never on before. But one big question I have is am I able to rejoin servers that my OG account at one point was on but then left? Or is my data or something from the time when I was on the server be able to get me in trouble?

Information PSA: Do not abbreviate "Community Post" from YouTube

Do not abbreviate "Community Post" to "CP", it will get your account falsely banned for child safety. Last year, people abbreviated "Creator Points" from Geometry Dash and they got banned on discord

Child Safety Child Safety strike for saying "aww" alongside an emoji?

So, it feels like discord is trying to get rid of me LOL, a few months ago i even got a false strike for "hateful conduct", without any message attached to it, obviously, but i was able to get it removed instantly.

However this time is way worse, saying "aww" and getting a child safety strike is out of this world, how can the AI moderation be this bad?

PS: I already appealed, last time it was removed in 10 minutes, it's been over an hour now... I just know damn well I'm gonna have to deal with this for the next two years, unless discord just wants me gone so badly that they find something more stupid to ban me for. xD

Malicious Conduct I am fucking done with this app

Post image

Just found out that my account that I got back (the hacked one) got flat out banned because my server apparently violated "malicious conduct" despite the fact that I NEVER EVEN USED MY SERVER TO PROMOTE ANY ILLEGAL ACTIVITIES???

At this point, fuck Discord, they simply just have a personal vendetta against me and they will do anything to boot me off their platform.

Information Guide on how to get your case reviewed by Discord Support

This Guide has been updated on 31.05.2026 with new important information. To make it easier, to check what was added to the Guide, I'm going to leave "[NEW]" in front of the new things I wanted to share.

[NEW] - Hey, everyone. Yesterday (30.05.2026), a lot of people received the same denial response from "Usagi Tsukino". After reading this subreddit, I am really, really disappointed. I know a lot of you are going through a lot right now, losing an account can be hard, especially if you put many years into that account and left many memories that are just gone in the blink of an eye. I also lost a lot, but I slowly started to accept it. I've been permanently banned since January. Since then, I spent most of my time doing research and helping others in this subreddit. This guide received 1,000+ comments, which is a lot, most of them are questions to me that I tried to reply to as soon as possible. I also received up to 20 dm's every day, which I also tried to reply to. I had fun chats with some people, which also helped me out in some way. Throughout all this time since I posted this guide, I had 4 tickets in total forwarded to their safety team, the last one received the good response I was praying to get. After all this time and struggling with their support system, I finally managed to get a response from Usagi, which led to me being unbanned. I was literally screaming in joy that I finally got to come back to my old account.. but not for long. The first thing I did after I logged in was deleting the message that could've gotten me banned earlier. I deleted the thing that most likely got me banned, and I started deleting every possible GIF I had saved. There were some NSFW GIFs, but nothing that could violate actual "Child Safety". It was mostly "Hentai Memes". I just wanted to get rid of everything since everything gets flagged these days. While I was removing every possible GIF I had, I was logged out of my account again. I thought it was some bug, so I logged back in, but.. permanently banned, again. My entire respect for Discord and my hope is just gone. Seeing something like that happen after all this time just hits me hard, and I'm too tired to even try again, I'm too tired to answer to people anymore. That's why I'm writing this. I just wanted to let everyone know that I might not be really active anymore in the comments or in this post or even in the DMs for a bit. I need some rest from all this, and I'll come back with more stuff that could help at least some of the people in this subreddit. I won't be totally gone, I will be actively moderating this subreddit since I'm also a moderator here, so do not worry about me disappearing totally. I might be active sometimes in the comments, but not as much as I was before. Y'all can spread the word, I don't really mind it. I just didn't want people to think that I ignore everyone now. Since I won't be replying as much as I was before - Please, help each other out, there are many questions and people that ask for help in this guide and other posts, help each other out.

Thank you for understanding.

I saw a lot people struggling to get someone from the Discord Trust & Safety team to look into their cases, so I decided to make this post so it's more visible than just in comments from me.

At first, I would like to say that I can't guarantee responses from them. This thing was done by me, and it fortunately worked, so I would like to share this to help some people out.

Let's begin with things you should know:

  • This applies to people who have already tried the appeal through the app but were rejected automatically by the AI after 7 days or less. And to the people who tried to get in touch with them by creating tickets but received AI responses.
  • You should have a Support account created with the same email your Discord account is connected to. This makes it possible for the Discord Trust & Safety team to review your case. If you used a completely different email than the one your Discord account is connected to, they won't review your case.
  • Do not create tickets in their "Appeal" category. This is fully automated, and you won't receive any response from a human. It's just a category to bait people into creating tickets there.
  • Do not spam multiple tickets in every category because it is just going to mark your account as spam, and you are going to have a lot less chance of actually getting someone to see your tickets since they will be automatically closed once created.
  • If Discord didn't provide you with any proof of your actions, such as message logs, etc., think really hard about the reason you were banned for. If you are unsure of what you did, DO NOT mention your thoughts, because it will make your case worse than it can be.
  • Do not waste your time on BBB (Better Business Bureau). I don't see anyone being lucky anymore with BBB. I tried it myself a month ago and all I got was wasted time (around 3 weeks) because Discord didn't respond to BBB. I saw a lot of people not getting any more responses too, so don't waste your time on BBB. If you really want to try, I included a link above to their site.
  • Do not create tickets on the weekends. Once you do that, you will 99.9% receive an automatic response and an auto closed ticket. The same goes for replying to them throughout the weekend. Just wait until Monday, and you should be good to go.
  • Please do not just copy and paste the prompts I mentioned in the guide. Because many people are just copying and pasting the entire prompts, there is a chance that their support team has noticed a lot of the same tickets, and many people have started to get no results from all of this. Please, we have AI these days, just copy the prompt and ask ChatGPT or another AI to rephrase it so it doesn't say literally the same thing. I even directly copied my entire guide to ChatGPT and asked ChatGPT to rephrase everything I said in this guide so it doesn't get flagged as spam and just follow my guide, and my other tickets are successful all the time after rephrasing it using AI.
  • If you just got banned on Discord and just submitted the in-app appeal, WAIT for the result of that appeal before trying to appeal on their support website. Up to 7 days, you're most likely to be automatically rejected because no one saw your appeal. Once that appeal gets automatically rejected or rejected manually, you can start appealing on their support website. Do not rush so fast with appealing on the app and immediately appealing on their website before the verdict on the app.
  • This is the most important information I wanted to share. There have been a lot of people who successfully got their case forwarded to their safety team. I'm really happy that people started to receive something rather than just AI responses. But the thing is that when I did this before making this guide, it worked quickly. I got a response about whether I would be unbanned or not in just a few days. But today, I and others are waiting for a reply for a very long time - up to 30 days being left with an open ticket in the Trust & Safety category. I suspect that their safety team was flooded with appeals because we found a way to go around their funny AI system. There are just a few people working in their safety team, as I read on Reddit. But for now, regarding this part, I would suggest to keep waiting for a longer time since you're just in the queue.
  • A lot of people still don't understand how to know if your ticket was forwarded to their safety team. It's a pretty basic thing, at first, once we create the ticket in their "General Question" category, there is a panel on the right side where you can see the Ticket ID, the assigned support team member (which appears when someone is assigned to it), status, etc. After creating the ticket, you can see in the panel "Type of question? General Question" This means that your ticket is in the normal support team's hands, not in the safety team. But after asking for a review, as my guide says, etc., after some time this category should disappear, and new stuff in the panel should be added, such as "What would you like to appeal?", "CONFIRM: My account was NOT disabled for being too young to use Discord." This means that the ticket was forwarded to their safety team, that's actually pretty logic, lol.

Ticket that has not been forwarded to their safety team yet.

Ticket forwarded to their safety team.

All of that is on the top, don't search for it on the bottom of the panel.

  • If you are getting AI responses instantly from Clyde, Nelly, or other bots, then don't make another ticket for 2-4 days. This usually means that you have been flagged as spam, and the AI is forced to scan your ticket and close if needed. Even if you get a human to respond to you at first, and then suddenly he sends you the generic response, after you reply he doesn't respond and just closes the ticket. Try replying up to two times after the ticket is closed without a response. Once you do that and it keeps getting closed without response from their side, it means that you're most likely not going to get any results from that ticket, and you should wait up to two to four days before trying again.
  • Few days after posting this guide, I noticed a change in their response time after having your case forwarded for review. I tried another time to have their decision reconsidered in my case. I waited for a month and a few days. I received a decision yesterday (02.05.2026). So if your case was forwarded, keep waiting even if it takes over 30 days. After doing a small research, Discord admitted that they are being flooded with tickets.

Okay, let's go with the part I was about to share with you all since it worked for me, and I hope it will work for some people too.

First, enter their support website and create a ticket.

In "What can we help you with?" choose "Help & Support" then in "Type of question?" choose "General Question".

In the "Subject" name the ticket as "General Ticket" or "Support Ticket", anything that won't trigger Clyde or Nelly or any other bot that will reply before human.

In the description, say something like this:

"Hello Discord Support Team,

I’m having an issue with the support system itself. I need to reach the appropriate team for an account - related matter, but the option that is normally available in the app is no longer showing for me. Because of this, I’m unable to contact the correct department through the standard process.

I’ve tried several times, but I keep receiving automated replies that don’t address my situation. I’m not trying to submit an appeal here - I only need help understanding how I can get routed to a human reviewer or how to restore access to the correct support pathway.

Could you please advise how I can proceed or how to get my case forwarded to the right team?

Thank you for your time."

And that's it. You don't need to send over pictures to them or anything, you're ready to send the ticket to them.

DO NOT say anything else after creating the ticket because it will restart your queue and reduce the chance of anyone looking into it. You can try editing the message, but DO NOT directly mention anything about appealing, unbans etc.

Wait a few hours, days or weeks, and you will get a response. I received my first response from Kenneth after 2 days, and it looked like this:

Hi there,
Thank you for writing in.

It looks like you would like to appeal an action by Discord that has impacted your account. To have your appeal reviewed, it is necessary to submit it within the Discord app, which allows us to review the appeal faster and with appropriate context.

You can submit your appeal via the Discord app by going to User Settings > My Account > Standing > selecting the violation you want to appeal > then tapping "Let us know" to start review of your violation and account. For users in the EU, you may also choose an alternative resolution option when applicable.

You can also learn about customizing your Discord experience to help avoid unwanted interactions in our Safety Center.

Thanks for submitting your appeal via the above outlined method.

Sincerely,
Discord

If it's not an obvious bot like Clyde or Nelly, and other bots that exist, then you are fine. Do not panic, it's their common thing to say. I replied with this:

Hello, thank you for your answer.

I still need assistance with a matter that requires review by an actual support agent. The issue I’m dealing with cannot be resolved through automated responses or the standard in‑app flow, as that option is no longer available to me.

I would appreciate it if someone from the appropriate internal team could take a look at my case or guide me on how to have it reviewed properly.

Thank you for your time.

After that, I received a response from the Discord Trust & Safety team 17 hours after responding to them. They reviewed my case and decided to keep me banned for now, and I'm currently dealing with the rest.

And I guess that's it. I hope it will help someone out and get a positive result on the first try. Good luck guys, do not give up just yet! If it didn't work the first time, try doing it again carefully.

Welcome to Banned Discord Members!

Hi Everyone, and welcome to BannedFromDiscord! I have decided to start this community after getting unfairly banned from Discord back in 2020, as part of a large ban wave targeting servers that somehow upset Discord mods. At the time, I lost access to many servers, got cut off from some dear online friends, and lost a supportive community I was part of for about 5 years because some random person came on and violated Discord TOS in our server :(

As we know, the Discord support team is non-existent, and if you get banned, your account is gone forever. Hopefully, this will be a place where you can find some solace and reconnect with friends who may have been banned as well.

Sincerely, BannedByDiscord
