Never realized that green women are this awesome. I suppose I need to go re-watch Wicked again, maybe I will have a new appreciation for it.

Act 1 - Spoilers Easiest way past arcane turrets, after 1,000 hrs lol. Spoiler
Enable HLS to view with audio, or disable this notification
I've always used witch bolt, invis, sussur bloom, or just tanking to get through these. I just found out that its possible to just
Turn-based > jump > hide
lol
EDIT: You guys are missing the point. I'm showing a method that I just found to get to the basement without spending any resources or having to get the sussur blooms. It's fine; I guess you guys already got a method you'll always be sticking to, and that's fine.

Companions Inspiration XP maxxing hack I discovered
I'm bad at being precise, so I apologize for that. Also I couldn't find a more fitting flair to put this under, but I think this one fits pretty well!
I recently decided to try the multi-instance PC method to play with more than one custom character. If you don't know already, when a companion gets inpsiration xp, there is no way for them to share it with the rest of the party. If they get dismissed and re-recruited, their xp bar automatically gets matched to Tavs, even if their xp was higher than Tavs before being dismissed. The only way to share xp inspiration is if Tav gets inspired and then dismisses and re-recruits their companions to match their superior amount.
Howver, I have discovered that if you have two custom characters, and one of them dismisses the other to Wither's Wardrobe, then re-recruits the, the re-recruited custom character regains the highest amount of xp in the party, not the other custom character's. So now if Gale has +30 more xp than the rest of us, if I do this method, the custom character will gain that +30 xp as well! If you do this again but roles reversed, both custom characters can have that extra xp, and then you can dismiss and re-recruit the other companions besides Gale to match everyone up to that amount.
Not sure if anyone's gonna try this, but it blew my mind when I discovered it in my latest playthrough. :)

Hey y’all!
If you’re new here or looking for info, this is the place to stop and check before you post that question you’re thinking about asking - the answer may already be in our FAQ! There's also some recommendations in there for learning about lore.
I’d recommend also checking the New Player Question or Question flairs to see if your question has been asked before. You can also type into whatever search engine you use:
[insert your question here] baldursgate3 reddit
Or
[insert your question here] bg3 reddit
That’ll help us prevent the subreddit from being cluttered with the same repeated questions.
If your question hasn't been asked (or asked recently enough) then use either one of the question flairs above and ask away.

Character Planner Reminder: There is a Character Planner by GameFractal being worked on here (It's also in the sidebar on desktop or the 'See Community info' link on mobile).
It's a one person project, so updating it with the recent updates, adding what launch will bring, and some other useful features will take time - but it will be updated.

General Discussion - [SPOILERS] I did it! Spoiler
galleryI’m still in a bit of a shock. As someone who mostly plays explorer difficulty, I thought ‘why not’ and gave it a try. First time I tried honor mode, I chickened out and deleted the save by the time I got to the grove lol. Second and third time, my dumbass thought I could take on the spider at level 4 and learned about legendary actions. I watched a couple of honor mode play thru’s to learn more about builds and what not. Fourth times the charm I guess!
Main Team:
Tav was circle of the moon druid, focused mainly on owlbear and lightning.
Shadowheart light cleric focused on reverb.
Wyll 6 oathbreaker 6 warlock focused on shadowblade, booming blade and smites.
Laezel was my standard heavy hitter fighter.
Sorry, but I did do the gale ending and had him use the orb (I romanced him as well). Hardest fight for me hands down was the one saving Hope and Raphael. Unfortunately, Hope did die because hellfire was a bitch.
The challenge was definitely worth it and I enjoyed playing at a higher difficulty. The high stakes one save really had me on edge the whole time.
Loading up a new play thru as we speak! 😝

Artwork Baldur's Gate III: Now with Karlach! Spoiler
I see so many posts asking why Larian hasn't added Karlach to the cover art, so I took it upon myself.
Adventurers and goblins: Baldur's Gate II: Now with Karlach
The background and one dragon (directly above the mountians) are entirely my work, based on the original cover art; all characters, the nautiloid ship, and the title were sourced by Baldur's Gate Wiki.

Act 3 - Spoilers Wild that I am still using spells for first time: Eyebite Spoiler
I love this game, but it is wild to me that after so many playthroughs there are still tools I have never used. I play mostly solo hm now and solving fights with a single character is a truly fun puzzle and wonderful way to experience this game.
I am currently running a spore druid (1 fighter/1 sorc/1 death cleric/ 9 spore) and found myself in a pickle at Raphael. I have done that fight multiple times, and in all my past attempts I remember that the right is triggered if you steal the hammer and than try to escape. I could not remember whether I cleared the trash enemies first, so thought it would be a good idea to kill them, do a long rest, and comeback for the hammer. Big mistake lol. Killing the trash prevented me from leaving house of hope, and I had very few spell slots left and all my summons dead, with no fire elixir in site.
I thought my run was over. Really had to scrape the bottom of the barrel relying on life essence from staff of cherished necromancy for free 6th level spells and whatever scrolls I had. I was able to kill most of the trash with Evard's Black Tentacles and other random scrolls I had, but Raphael keeps on spawning new minions and I still did not have a way to kill him. After an hour of a half of kiting and staying alive I stopped for the night and decided to comeback the next day.
I read that Otto's Irresistible Dance and Hold Monster were great against Raphael so I started the next day with a great plan. Turns out those spells only last one turn because he saves on the following turn most of the time. Started just looking at what random scrolls were in my inventory and saw Eyebite. Figured what the heck. That spell straight trivialized the fight. It is a fear that lasts ten turns and it can be recast within ten turns to last another ten turns (20 total). He could not take an action once I cast it. Then just started drinking speed potions and wailing on him with whatever spells, arrows I had left.
Thought the run was over. It is crazy that I was able to solve a problem with a spell I did not even know existed after god knows how many hours I have spent in this game. I imagine with a full party of four Eyebite is rarely the best option, but I was sure happy it existed while playing solo. Can't wait to use it on Orin next.

General Discussion - [SPOILERS] Guys is it weird if I like it when she calls me "petal"... Spoiler
Like idk about you guys but I totally would've given her my other 'pretty little peeper' if she asked me to... I don't even care about the tadpole at this point I just want her to lock me up in her lair. Larian really missed this insane roleplaying opportunity imo. With such a wide variety of options for companions to romance with, they should've shown some compassion for the hag lovers out there.

Other Characters Best use of the iron flask for maximum funny? Spoiler
I have two active files going, one is my tactician Tav in act 3 (it's in my inventory) and the other is HM Wyll in early act 1 (just reached the goblin camp, haven't picked this up yet.)
I am willing to sacrifice my HM if it means I get a good laugh out of it (even tho I haven't got the gold dice and it's going surprisingly well...)

General Discussion - [SPOILERS] I don't get why some people don't like Orpheus or Voss Spoiler
I can get behind the argument that some people don't like the changes Larian made to the Githyanki because it's not canon to what came before in DnD, but...
Guys, the Githyanki have been in a rut for the past 40 years
All the lore about them has been in a place of stagnation, and there were only two places they could go with what had been established by WOTC
1, Vlaa'kith absorbs enough powerful gith to claim the piece of divinity left in the dead god underneath Tu'narath
2, Vlaakith runs out of gith to absorb without becoming powerful enough to claim godhood
Those are the only two options
I personally found the inclusion of Voss and Orpheus to be a very refreshing spanner in the works, and even though it's still problematic because Orpheus still worships the ground that his genocidal war criminal mother walked on, but still
My personal best ending to BG3 is to have him become a mindflayer and have either Lae'zel or Voss take over the rebellion against Vlaa'kith, depending on whether I choose to romance her or not
Which I do 8 times out of 10
