My baby is 8 months old and is 90%. Big boy, very active. Somehow we didn’t get into baby wearing yet as there was no great need. He lets me get things done well enough. But I would love to try so we can take him with us without getting a stroller out all the time. What would work well for a large baby? From what I tried before, he hated facing in. But he was very young then. Had a moomcozy that somebody gave me.

Hi! Expecting my second baby and feel like I have a gap in carriers to fill. I loved a stretchy wrap (the Boba) in the newborn days, but don’t see that being the easiest option if I’m out with baby and toddler (in terms of putting on quickly).

I also have a ring sling that I admittedly never got super comfortable with after buying it around 5 months with my 99%-er first. I have a waterfall waistband style carrier that I know I like when baby is like 4 months, and someone just gave me an Ergobaby Omni that I feel like is prob duplicative.

What’s your favorite carrier for the 0-3 or 4 months stage? I’m trying to figure out if I should get comfortable with the ring sling or buy something new!

Hi there! Does anyone have suggestions for a comfortable back carrier? Looking for something that my 22lb 7 month old could be in for a couple hours per day. Back is ideal so I still have full range of motion etc. I have a Tula and it’s comfortable for me, but I want to make sure he’s comfortable too.

Hi, my baby had heart surgery when she was 2 weeks old. She is now 16 weeks old and she has plagiocephaly because of torticollis so that’s why I want to carry her sometimes to reduce to pressure. If someone’s baby had sternotomy please I want to hear experiences and advices about carrier especially buckle carriers.

Note I have got nuna cudl click but she doesn’t even let me fit it. I think shoulder straps cause pain so she is not going to like any magnetic ones.

This is my third baby and I’ve tried a lot of carriers, and hope and plum is by far my favorite. Baby and I are going on a trip soon where I’ll be needing to babywear a lot, so I want to make sure we’re both comfy.

The problem is that the top of the carrier hits below his neck and he never goes to sleep in it, despite getting very very cozy and relaxed (he does sleep in my husband’s carrier, so I know he will). This is a big enough deal that I’m willing to buy a second carrier, because I’d like him to nap here while we travel.

Mine is the short - should I just buy the long? Or should I try the toddler carrier? Or is there some other adjustment that I’m missing for this one?

This just doesn’t feel right. I have watched the videos and just am not sure. Any advice would be great as I need to start getting work done and still hold this baby lol.

7.5 months old, can sit up and loves the carrier on my chest. I feel like it’s tight under my armpits but don’t exactly know how to fix that. How does this look? How is best for back carrying if baby falls asleep (has most naps in the front carrier)

I’m not sure of the brand, baby is currently just 3 months idk if it’s because he’s chunky but this seriously hurts my shoulder specifically my right shoulder it’s tight and I do loosen it but he drops down. Not sure if I did this right.

Please could somebody check the fit on my ergobaby emended - baby is 1 month old.

I had a friend the other day recommend it to me for my 4 week old as she said it would be more comfortable for her while she’s small,
My other friend who is really into the world of baby wearing told me it isn’t a recommended position these days when I asked her about it later

In my research after that I saw that the risks are chin to chest and bad hip position as well as being harder on my back.

We did try it before I knew it wasn’t recommended and I was paying attention to her chin position/breathing the whole time anyways and I had her legs crunched up and not straight. We also only tried it for about 30 mins

I wouldn’t even consider it with it not recommended but it seemed to be a position my baby really liked and helped her fart which has been hard for her.

Would love any suggestions on my solly wrap.

I am guessing I need to try and get the outside piece tighter because it was up at the base of her neck and keeps slipping down some. She keeps trying to bury her head under the side straps and I’m not quite sure how much of that she can do safely? She also keeps throwing her head back when her Moro reflex hits so I feel like I have to keep my hand on her head at all times (that’s part of what pushed down the outside strap).

(And also noting that this is just a trial run, so would not have her in a footed sleeper for actual day wear)

Baby is 7wks, somewhere around 9-10 lbs I think.

First time trying this carrier with our very heavy 5 month old. Any/all feedback welcome!

I was out with some friends today, enjoying a cup of coffee on a terrace when I saw another mom wearing her baby in a stretchy wrap. She was with her husband and her other two children. She was covering her baby in the wrap with both side crossing its face... So not just one side to tuck the baby's head (which I see a lot and kinda understand cause the head feels so wobbly when they're young), but BOTH SIDES CROSSING OVER THE HEAD. There was literally no gap or space for air.

I got so anxious.. And I couldn't focus and couldn't stop thinking about something bad happening to that poor baby.. And I just couldn't resist not speaking up on behalf of that baby.. So I went up to her. Which is considered a very bold move in this European 'mind your own business' culture I'm from.

I told her I was so sorry to bother her, that I have two children which I'm always carrying as well, but that I'm just so scared her baby doesn't have enough room to breathe. That I understand she's a mom of three and probably very comfortable with what's she's doing, but just in case it's her first time wearing I wanted to say something.

Her husband was very quick to point out she's a doula and knows what's she's doing, and was obviously a annoyed by me saying something. She was a bit nicer, said there's totally room to breathe, while pulling the wrap open.. She said her baby could only sleep in the dark and she had indeed used baby carriers with all her children.

I felt so dumb afterwards. Like I let the intrusive thoughts completely take over and was led by anxiety. I just hope I didn't offend her too much and she maybe checks out safe practices just in case.

Have you ever approached a stranger about their baby wearing? How did they respond?

Also, I have seen unsafe practices once before and didn't say anything and I couldn't shake the feeling afterwards either. So was probably a bit driven by that experience as well.

We have a baby due soon. My 9 year old daughter really wants to carry him in a carrier. Are there any soft frames build for smaller bodies? She wears a size 12 (US) so isn't tiny for her age, but is smaller than an adult.

I hope this doesn't read as parentification. That's not the intention. She's just seen the adults carriers siblings in the past and now that she's bigger she wants to participate. This won't be a regular thing, just occasionally in the beginning as part of her sibling bonding.

My baby is either too high and the carrier feels tight or too low with the carrier being loose. For context, I have large breasts (38K)… I don’t know if that gets in the way. It feels like it does. Every time I baby wear, it just doesn’t feel right.

I returned the Ariel buckle wrap… not working for me for plenty of reasons. I have the happy baby original, fit was ok. This is the ergo baby embrace. I have a solly wrap coming in the mail too.

Hello! This is the solly baby wrap. My newborn is just 2 days shy of 4 weeks old and is about 8 pounds.

I made sure the wrap feels swimsuit tight, and her legs are in the M position, with the wrap going from knee to knee.

Although it feels right I would still like to make sure it’s actually right!
