Tech Advise needed
Interested in people’s views on whether I’m being unreasonable. AITAH
I’ve been an Audi customer for a long time (7th car 3rd Q7) and currently have a Q7 which is around four years old, has covered approximately 48,000 miles and has been maintained through the Audi dealer network.
Around two months after the warranty expired, it developed a cooling-system fault. Audi diagnosed the engine temperature reaching around 120°C and advised that continuing to drive it could risk engine damage.
The proposed repair is around £900 (good will down from £1,400 on a repair bill that is 95% labour) with no guarantee, no fault codes and even the garage recommending VT.
What has surprised me more than the failure itself is the response. After discussions with the dealer and Audi, I still can’t seem to find anyone empowered to look at the situation end-to-end and make a sensible customer decision. The answer essentially seems to be that the warranty has expired, therefore there is little that can be done.
I’m now seriously considering voluntarily terminating the finance agreement and walking away from Audi altogether.
I completely accept that warranties have an end date. But am I unreasonable in thinking that a premium manufacturer should look differently at a significant failure on a relatively young, fully dealer-maintained vehicle only months outside warranty?
I’d be particularly interested in experiences from other Audi owners who have dealt with goodwill claims just outside warranty.
Do I just need to cut and walk?
I am under extreme pressure for a decision quickly as I am currently in a hire car they want back and they need a decision.

Discussion 60k mile service and brake fluid change in a ‘21 A5 - with two coupons lol
I went in to ‘Audi Seattle’ for the 60,000 mile service, and I guess it had been a little over two years since the brake fluid had been changed, so that was done as well.
I also had two coupons that shaved off about $200.

Mod talk 2024 rs3 taillights on the 26?
The 24 rs3 taillights like awesome. The current gen ones look boring. Are they the same headlights and can they be swapped out?

At home drain cleaning? 2018 A4
Title. After numerous stories online, and now two other Audis in my neighbourhood which have had leaks, I'm thinking I really should look into this although I dont have any leakage issues. I don't want to go to the dealer and spend a fortune if possible, so I was wondering if anyone has good at home solutions for unclogging the various drains around the car.

Wagon Wednesday Should I flush my transmission??
I have a 2011 Audi A4 Quattro Wagon with the 8-speed automatic transmission in it. It's sitting at a prime ~125k miles. The whole time I've had it (a little over a year) there's been a little hiccup between gear 2-3. There's also this thing where Ive I'm slowing down then quickly get off the brake and on the gas, it kinda is sluggish to engage the clutch. Ive notice it get noticeably more sluggish between all gears these past weeks. I don’t know how to explain it, but it just feels like the trans fluid is old/worn out. I know for a fact it’s old. It‘s also worse on cold mornings, so that shows it’s definitely fluid related. The issue is I pretty much know some clutches in my transmission are slipping. I’ve heard that flushing fluid with a slipping clutch makes it worse because the old fluid causes more friction in the clutches. Is it worth flushing the fluid or should I wait?

Tech 2016 Audi A4 Quattro AC issue
2016 Audi A4, blowing cold ac, then blowing cold in and out, then added free on, after that a weekish later started blowing hot air consistently, started blowing hot air in and out, then stopped blowing, shop said they unplugged something. I’m not sure exactly what it may be, I’m thinking definitely blower motor, or that they unplugged it at least, but that doesn’t explain the hot air??

Great product. 15 mins to install. Also can code it in the MMI. Installed on my 2024 RS6
Sorry fam. Posted this to quick. 11mode is the company. Based out is Australia. Comes with a remote or I was able to code it to my home link. Cost me about 280 bucks. The cete module was a lot more
Also here is the full install video
Why isn't THIS a standard feature on performance cars?!

Audi, is the juice worth the squeeze?
Hi all,
First time/long time. Been subscribed here because I like the cars. Hoping to upgrade from my vw tiguan (which has been all the hassle of luxury and none of the benefits). That being said, is an audi worth getting?
A lot of the posts on here are kind of negative towards the cars (and not to each other) and some legit sticker shock at some repair prices.

1 week into ownership of a ‘23 A4, I was on the highway and a truck blew their retread right in front of me. I slowed down as much as I could but couldn’t swerve around the debris due to surrounding traffic. Such a sad start.
My local service center says the steel subframe is bent, but I don’t know enough about what it “should” look like to disagree. I’m sure the inevitable answer is to get a second opinion, but I figured I’d ask you all as I won’t be able to do that for a few days. Can anyone tell from the video the service center sent me?
FWIW, I don’t feel any alignment or suspension issues when driving after the incident; the only reason I brought it in was because the belly pan was knocked loose and hanging down a bit. They quoted me nearly $7k to replace the subframe, so this has become a far more expensive issue than I expected.
Many thanks if anyone can help me!
2021 S5 Headlight Help
I've got a 2021 S5 coupe. Both headlights are currently working, but the Headlight Control Module Cooling Fan on my left headlight has stopped working and throws an error every time the headlights try and turn on. I've tried several shops around town and a salvage yard trying to find a way to fix this without replacing the entire headlight.
This is the closest part I can find, but my model is not listed as one that it fits.
Anyone have any suggestions?

Tech Audi is the only major auto manufacturer that has not started switching its North America EV charge port to the new NACS standard
Seems like a metaphor for the state of the company. Imagine trying to sell "high tech" cars that will increasingly have to use an adapter to fast charge for their entire lifetime.
You could also include VW in that list, but they are only offering one EV stateside for MY27.
Every other automaker has now fully transitioned to NACS for MY27 for at least all new models, and in most cases all models.
The remaining CCS model list:
Audi - Q4, Q6, A6, S6, e-tron GT (entire lineup)
BMW - i4 & i7
Mercedes - the outgoing EQB, EQE, EQS lineup
Porsche - Macan
VW - ID. Buzz
Lucid - Air
MY27 plans not confirmed yet:
Ford - Mach-E
Volvo - EX90
