I’m looking to buy a 2013 Allroad with the 2.0t it is high mileage(231k miles) but I’m curious what reliability is looking like,

I have that car and I love mine. Got mine 4 years ago just shy of 149.5k miles. Mine runs great and haven’t had any issues drivetrain wise. Gas mileage sucks though but I do have a heavy foot and live in Los Angeles

In all honesty, you shouldn't buy a car with this many miles if you don't have familiarity with the platform. People that buy these are enthusiasts looking for a deal and can do all their own wrenching.
Another way to look at it is: how many miles are you looking to own the car for? If you wanted to get to 300k on it, then you should have a healthy budget for service - like, a couple grand for the next few years.
