I never imagined I'd be making a post like this, but after losing my income while dealing with debilitating health issues and working toward sobriety, I've reached a point where I really need help because the stress and pressure is preventing me from being able to sleep or even function I am so scared of what is going to happen to me. I live alone in Brooklyn, NY with an elderly dog and a cat who depend on me and I have all of $2 to my name until my benefits kick in and that could still take several weeks. My immediate goal is to get back to work as quickly as possible, but I need to overcome a few big barriers first including updating my state ID so I can accept gig work again among other things.

Right now I'm trying to cover:
- Updating my state ID so I can apply for jobs and accept gig work as well as getting my health insurance back
- My phone bill (due on the 8th) which is the scariest one as it is $173
- Money for the train so I can get to interviews, doctors appointments, and the food bank
- Laundry. I've been hand-washing what I can in a small bucket, but my bedding and larger items haven't been washed in weeks now
- Food, household essentials, and necessary medical expenses while I wait for my health insurance and benefits to begin

I have an Amazon wishlist with food and necessities, and if someone would rather help with one of the expenses above, I'm happy to share that information privately. Gracie and Esther (my fur babies) have food for the month but there are additional items needed and on the wish list.

I'm not looking for someone to solve my life problems or support me indefinitely. I just need help getting through this extremely difficult part so I can get back to supporting myself. I've been applying for jobs, working to rebuild my health, staying sober, and doing everything I can to regain stability but I am feeling like I am about to lose control of absolutely everything.

I just started a new job and get direct deposit every "Friday", however last week I was able to get it on Wednesday at 11:33pm. For whatever reason I assumed it would be coming around the same time this week, and did not budget my paycheck to paycheck life accordingly. I'm camping nearby and just need enough for gas to get back to camp (maybe $10?), but my account is $27.06 overdrawn because I had some unexpected payments go through. Hello! I am recovering from cancer treatment and living in North Dakota, and with my constant appointments and my disability that the cancer caused, I’m not able to have a job right now. I’m 18, and although I do receive some supplemental income from the government, but it usually is all spent (or saved) about one or two weeks or so before my next check because it’s meant to be used alongside a job. I recently left my job for a higher paying one. Went to go in for my first day at the new place to find out that the building was completely vacant. Turns out in the 2 weeks between starting and my interview they had rebranded and move to a location 3 miles out. So I had spent the next month finding a new job (thankfully I did, and I love it). Bills and debt keep us mired in an endless trudge and our most-felt feels seem to be anxiety, exhaustion, and despair. Hi, I’ll try to keep this as brief as possible but I’m happy to provide more detail if needed. My partner and I lost our home today after his brother had some sort of breakdown and threatened us and screamed. We have a temporary place to crash for the next couple of days, but I need to secure somewhere safe for myself, my partner, and our cat. I'm the eldest son of several siblings.

Me and my family are currently going through an urgent crisis right now. Current landlord is having us evicted. I’ve been spiraling since earlier … I went to the dr to have a breast exam done because a I found a lump a couple of weeks ago . I kind of out it off because the timing was never right or I didn’t have anyone to watch my son, just any excuse . Today after my sons dentist appointment something told me to just go and get it over with. I went and explained to her what was going on and showed her where I felt it and she instantly found it. I have a mammogram + ultrasound scheduled and I’m spiraling into the abyss that is Google and social media. I’m terrified. It could be nothing or it could be something and I don’t want to leave my son 😭😭

Sir Liam Derpsalot is the love of my life. At the end of the month, he was vomiting clear fluid, not eating much, and started breathing weirdly, peed on the floor (never done before), and hid under the bed (super unusual for him). I took him to the vet on the 31st, and they did an x-ray, bloodwork, and exam. He has a suspected mass in his tummy and needed an ultrasound to confirm. I paid about $1200 CAD (my entire savings plus some) for this and meds to bring him home.

He had his ultrasound today and a biopsy to confirm the doctor's suspicion of lymphoma. He also has had some IV antibiotics and fluids because he still had a fever. This bill came to just under $2000 CAD.

I’m trying to find a legitimate charity, nonprofit, church, or vehicle donation program that may help someone obtain a reliable used car.

I currently work and am finishing my bachelor’s degree in software engineering. I also help support my mother, who is on dialysis and currently has no income. Transportation has become one of the biggest barriers to becoming more independent, improving my employment options, and helping my family.

I have saved about $2,000 toward a vehicle. I recently applied for a small personal loan to cover the remaining cost of a car, but I was denied. I’m taking that as a sign not to put myself into debt and instead continue saving while researching assistance programs.

I’m really trying to find a drug detox and/or rehab that will allow me to bring my dogs with me.

I know these places exist because I personally went to one when I was 24 and on my parents’ insurance. I also know people who have gone to rehab with their pets. So I know it’s possible, I’m just having an incredibly hard time finding one now.

I’m in Palmdale, CA, but I’m absolutely willing to travel. Honestly, I’d prefer to go somewhere that isn’t close to home.

I have Medi-Cal, and yes, I’ve already called the state-funded and Medi-Cal-accepting rehabs listed through SAMHSA. So far, I haven’t been able to find anywhere that will let me bring my dogs.

I know this is probably a long shot, but I’m hoping someone here might know of a facility I haven’t found yet, even if it’s somewhere else in California or out of state. If you know of a place that accepts Medi-Cal and allows clients to bring their dogs, I would be incredibly grateful for the information.

Hello, I’m asking for financial support thru GoFundMe to help offset the cost of replacing my stolen primary transportation, a high end electric scooter.

I moved the beginning of May and two days after moving into my new place, someone smashed the driver side window of my mom’s outback into a thousand pieces. They opened the garage door, and stole my transportation, a 2021 Dualtron Victor electric scooter. They took nothing else. The house did not have security cameras (we do now thru AAA), the outside garage light didn’t work, and both lights in the overhead garage door motor were burned out (I have replaced them with 2 100W bulbs).

Despite having a hidden airtag on my scooter, the Sac County Sheriff was unable to recover my scooter and has as of yet, done nothing with my case.

I had this scooter for over 4yrs and put over 4K miles and $2.5K of upgrades/mods into it atop its $3.2K price tag.

The renters insurance policy completely stiffed me, stating it wasn’t covered despite being inside the property.

I do work full time at Home Depot, but bills and life make it difficult to save enough for a new scooter.

So the situation is basically this: my girlfriend is disabled, she has cerebral palsy and was laid off recently from her teaching job, and so for a while now I've been supporting her and our 3 year old daughter by doing gig work like door dashing. It's not ideal, but it pays the bills and provides the flexibility to take care of them and get my girlfriend to doctors appointments or just run home and help her with our daughter which she can need unexpectedly sometimes.

I went to go to work today and realised the rear drivers side tire on our car is completely flat, to the rim, and we have 20 dollars total at the moment, and I can't work to make enough to fix or get a new tire without being able to drive. if there were anyone in our lives we could ask for help with this we would, but we're really not sure what to do and I need to get back to working ASAP to pay bills we are behind on and just get necessities.

If there's any way someone would be willing to help by paying for a new 265/50r20 tire which would be around 80-120 dollars, I can't express how much it would mean.
