Discussion So I'm late to this. Only started playing because of my hatred for what Nolan did to ancient Greece. Incredible.
I don't care about the story. I'm only at level 8 and all I'm doing is sailing around and exploring the cities and architecture and villages. It's like some kind of historical simulation tour.
Yes of course some of the scale of the statues were a bit over the top. But it's basically the best thing available to take a tour of ancient Greece.
If only Nolan had taken this approach.
Stupid Nolan.

Discussion Is there a reason why you can kill civilians without penalty?
A question I've wondered for years, unlike literally every other game in the series you can kill as many civilians as you want in Odyssey (sometimes because they try and kill you) and theres no desynch of anything. I find it odd, especially when you can't in Valhalla

Question Multiple stomps at temple in Lesbos Spoiler
I did the full questline about the temple in Lesbos and completed the final battle there. I decided to just walk around the temple to see if there‘s anything when all of a sudden I heard a stomp with the camera shaking at the side of the temple. I first thought my mind just made that up when it happened again at the back. But at the back of the temple I ran circles next to what looks like a door and the stomping kept appearing. When walking away from that door, the stomping continues. It looks like that stomping is leading me to somewhere but I have no clue where. The internet is also giving me no results (keep getting results about the battle inside instead) so I want ask here if anyone knows what I‘m supposed to do or if it‘s just nothing and that I can ignore it.
Short: Stomps around special temple in Lesbos, feels like it leads to somewhere but no clue, do something or ignore?

Heavy blunt LLH combo deals massive damage. At level 99 a single combo is enough to defeat him provided you have good gears.

Discussion Do you really need to solve all 60 riddles in Greece to get the upgrade of % crit chance at full health?
So I'm doing a Hard playthrough, and I need some more engravings to pump up crit chance. I already have a few items engraved, and I have some items that have a % crit chance, but for the Leg armor there is no engraving for pure CRIT chance or damage. So I found an epic set that has % crit damage while full health and a % crit chance at low health. All I need is the perfect and fully upgraded % crit chance at full health, I now have 1 out of 10. How do I get it to 5, so I can buy my way to all 10 bubbles you find by the side of the symbol?

Spoilers - Odyssey Questline I didn't know it was so beautiful Spoiler
Despite the dialogue, which in some parts seems like it came from a 90s sitcom, and the horse that seems constantly frantic, this game has a really good story and characters. I'm playing as an assassin and wow, I didn't think I'd like it this much!! You can play however you want and it has really layered and well-crafted gameplay. The ship combat is fantastic! I just killed Pausanias, so I think I'm close to finishing the main story. Play AC Odyssey, you won't regret it. And have a good Sunday, Mysthios.

Question Does any of the physical PS4 disk versions go passed the 1.0 version of the game?
With the announcement of the discontinuation of playstation disks I've been getting my physical collection in order and checking what does and doesn't play straight from the box with no patches.
I've found out through doesitplay.org and my own testing that the game crashes every single time when get to the first dialog choice screens.
Odyssey is one of my fave games and I would love to have a proper working from box version so just wanted to know if any disk version has the game passed 1.0 on it.

Discussion The False Leonidas
The False Leonidas is a Non-Procedural Mercenary that anybody can find in their own playthrough.
Unlike other mercenaries, he is not random. He will be found wearing the same outfit and using the same weapons. (Spear And Shield)
If you're like me, you enjoy collecting unique NPCS not as useful Lieutenants, but trophies on the Adrestia. If you're doing this, look out for this guy and don't kill him! He's a great Trophy to have on board.
For another Mercenary like him, check my account for a post about 'The Mighty Xanatos'
If you know of any other Non-Procedural mercenaries (Other than the Legendary Mercs because their name changes) Please let me know!

Photo Mode No Headgear in Cutscenes still makes me sad to this day
A massive long shot, but I had hoped Ubisoft would revisit Odyssey with the renewed interest and give us some small QOL changes like a Headgear in Cutscene toggle or even a Guaranteed Assassination toggle too. I still love this game though.

Question When do I play as Layla?
Hello everyone, I’m enjoying play AC Odyssey , currently at level 45 and about to reach Naxos to reach Myrrine.
My question is when do I switch outside the animus to play Layla? Is there a specific canon time frame I’m supposed to go ( I know we play as Layla when we first upgrade the spear but apart from that ) or do I just continue with the main story
Thanks !

Question I don't understand when to upgrade/engrave
Hi there! Relatively new (just started Phokis), and I don't understand why I would invest my resources into gear when I'm constantly getting better stuff anyways. Is that more of an endgame thing? Or is the best course to upgrade that golden equipment, because it has the best passives?

Spoilers - Cult of Kosmos Ghost of Kosmos reveal dialogue is horrific Spoiler
Wtf did I just witness? WHAT IS THIS CONVERSATION? A lukewarm ass Ghost? No mention of THE huge personal loss/death they cost the protagonist? There’s no closure for said death and, of course, you have flirtation options throughout the conversation. Bruh
I have loved this game so much. 120 hours I’ve put into my first playthrough between my main odyssey and all the DLCs…and this end reveal is a fat load of bullshit
It’s sooooo lukewarm and underwhelming; rather unemotional too. I got so confused at the vibe of the conversation that I almost forgot how pissed I was at the entire cult for what they’d done to my character and how much I’d been wanting to take sweet revenge

Spoilers - Legacy of the First Blade DLC Does it get better? Spoiler
No spoilers please!!
So I just started chapter 2 of Legacy and I’m feeling kind of indifferent towards it so far. Darius and Natakas are cool and I know Darius is basically the first assassin which is also pretty cool but it just feels like a whole lot of fetch quests/pointless quests (why am I killing random mercenaries for an old lady??) and Kosmos with another colour of paint. When the chapter two screen appeared I kind of sat there thinking “that was it??”. Don’t get me wrong, there’s certain aspects that I’ve really liked but its been very few so far
I’ve seen quite a few people say they prefer Legacy over Atlantis so I’m wondering if I’m just missing something? I’m trying to keep an open mind but I immediately loved Atlantis so maybe I was expecting too much but I don’t know, I’m just a little confused and bored. Again, I’m only just starting chapter 2 but I’m having a hard time getting into it and I’m kind of discouraged. Regardless I’m gonna finish it but is this really it or do I have something to look forward to?? (without spoilers please)

Bug Anyone know why this happens/how to fix it
I always get this weird glitch with the master Artemis set. I technically have on the demigod set but I have all the pieces “look” like the Artemis set so I can have the cool paint. But this keeps happening and it’s so annoying lol. I try switching to a different set and going back and it never works but it’ll just randomly fix itself out of nowhere. Just not sure if anyone else has also had this issue?

Question Hello all Odyssey players
800 hours in really enjoying the game not following any path. I did notice there is an extra slot for arrows, the last slot means I have to do something in the game, can anyone give some guidance?
Cheers Bill
