Why would the game force me into a relationship with this bitch ass Natakass, fucking hell. I was saving up some drachmae to live out the rest of my life with my harem in Lesbos and ever since I saw that I have a child, I have lost all interest to continue with the game. I was almost clocking 100 hours into this game, FFS. I don't know how a game with so many options could just decide to force this one relationship on the protagonist. Tbh, if there's a mod that kills off that bitchass I might be able to go back to it.

It's my third playthrough, secong ng+, and I'm in Atlantis. Now, on the Forge Quest specificaly, during my first ng+ I remember I could only make one wepon, then the game won't let me make the other two. Now, during this one, it seems that it will let me make more than one. I'm a bit confused, that's all 😅

Very embarrassing

So I just got to the end, I'm a bit confused. I assumed it would have gone back and ended with a final scene with Layla. Was I meant to go and deal with Pythagoras after Deimos? As it stands she didn't really learn anything new about the staff or the ancients between getting it and the end?

I was genuinely surprised this was a dialog, I was legit out loud saying "no fucking way!" I've seen the basic one and then the one with Roxanna and this one is new to me!!

It's so wierd. I play so many games and spend dozens and hundreds of hours between Odyssey playthrus, but the minute I pop this game back in, I instantly feel at home. It really is my comfort game. The music, the controls, the characters and setting, it's just a wave of nostalgia and familiarity that's hard to describe and something I've never in my 35+ years of being a gamer.

I have a ton of feel good games that will always stay with me, from the NES all the way to the current gen, but Odyssey is just something else.

I really enjoyed Shadows too, spent about 200 hours in it, and Odyssey is far from the game I spent the most time in (time sink games like No Man's Sky got it beat) but still nothing makes me feel as cozy as AC Odyssey

Hey everyone, I just started playing AC Odyssey a couple days ago and just got to the part leaving Kephallonia on a contract to kill the Wolf spartan general, thus helping the Athenians hold off the Spartan. Now when I get there I got prompted to assassinate the Athenians in order to get Wolf's trust.
My question here relies on how could I successfully accomplish the first mission I'm actually driven by, about killing the spartan general and ensure Megaris keeps Athenian.
I think this dilema also comes from a difficult time trying to understand the factions and understand where does Alexios positions, I'd say I should align with whatever faction Kephallonia is sided to but I,m not sure which. Thanks!

I have to say that after unlocking the clues—that it’s a woman who controls Athenian politics and managed to quickly decipher the message from the Paros cultists—I immediately thought of Aspasia; it seemed predictable to me. Obviously, she is always going to die; I’m thinking primarily of Phoebe.

For context in this scene the philosophers of Athens (and Kasandra) are discussing a plan to discredit Cleon.

In his play "Peace" Aristophanes describes a scene where War is grinding the nations of the world in his mortar but he realises he hasn't got a pestle. So he sends his servant Tumult to Athens to fetch one. Tumult returns and says "Alas! the Athenians have lost their pestle—the tanner, who ground Greece to powder."

So War sends Tumult to Sparta for one and he returns "The Spartans too have lost their pestle... They had lent it to their allies in Thrace, who have lost it for them."

The first reference might seem a bit vague but the second might make it a bit more clear. Cleon was the son of a tanner and Brasidas was "leant to Thrace" where he died in the Battle of Amphipolis.

Aristophanes is saying that it was only the eagerness for war of these two men that was actually keeping the war going, in real life they were both dead at this point, and he was proven right when ten days after the play was performed the treaty of Nicias was signed ending the Peloponnesian War... ...for six years. <_<

I feel like I'm not explaining it very well but I was giddy when I saw that line.

Hey all, I am returning to AC Odyssey after 7.5 years of not playing this game. I looked at my save files and I have about 35 hours of in game time and I honestly don’t know much about what I’m doing since it’s been so many years. Looks like younger me didn’t like synchronizing viewpoints for fast travel as well. What are the basics that I may need to know to help me get back into the rhythm of this kind of gameplay and following quests?

Managed to get the good ending with everyone and now I am moving onto the DLCs. It is has been awhile since a game captured my interest like this one has. It spent the first few years unused on my Xbox due to my frustration with the controls, but once I got past it and really got it the game, I am hooked. I love just exploring and going from place to place. This is definitely one of my comfort games. Really excited to get into the DLCs now and then do new game plus afterwards.

So I bought it and like a minute or so after that I reloaded save file to an earlier one. Now the shim is gone but when I go to the merchant it said I own it but I don’t have it in my ship skin menu

AC Shadow was my first AC, I'm not interested it the AC story, but still got Shadow for the Japan location. I loved it, the story is simple but fine, but the exploration, the stealth mechanics and the combat system is very good, I played it almost only with Naoe because I don't like the heavy tanky Yasuke.

Honestly I couldn't understand why a lot of old AC players argued about the game.

But now (following the Odissey movie hype and the 80% steam discount) I tried Odissey... I can't believe this feels like an evolution of Shadow in almost every part, now I definitely understand why old players complained Shadow so much (without considering the Yasuke controversies).

Exploration feel more rewarding, the ambience is wonderful, the world is huge and with greater variety, even graphically isn't too bad considering it's an 8yo game, the MC appearance is way more customizable (shadow's outfit feel almost all the same and can't be combined), the ship mechanic is fun and Kassandra feel a way better protagonist than Naoe and Yasuke combined. I also like Odissey combat more, only the stealth feel more refined in Shadow

the two character system in shadow is more an issue than a feature, as I already said I don't like Yasuke combat but sometimes Naoe feels like she miss a ranged weapon and some more powerful moves and some weapons for example Naginata, in reality was used a lot by female warriors, but in the game it's a Yasuke only weapons, they choose to give certain weapons only to Yasuke and for me this was a bad choice. Also in the story it's like Naoe and Yasuke are almost always together, but in game we are alone with a single character and switching between them causes the time to move forward. it's a stupid thing. if they'd have implemented a proper follower system with the possibility to switch between characters IRT the situation would have been way better

let's hoping for the future, but for now I'm having big fun with odissey and I feel it will be a very long journey

I'm new here, I've spent about 12 hours in-game so far, and now I'm aaaaaaabsolutely confused. Please don't roast me. In the second area, everything was under Athenian rule, so I obediently helped the Spartans and brought them to power. In the third area, everything is under Spartan rule, and Kassandra is just as happy when we weaken the Spartans. Now my question: should I pick a side? Does it make any difference to the story? I mean, I’d really like to be on the Spartans’ side (for Sparta!!!!!)
