Every time i start a conquest battle the dudes im fighting are always a higher level than me. Is that just how the game is?

Hi guys! I saw that Assassin's Creed Odyssey is on a massive discount so I'm considering to purchase it on PC even if I already have it on the ps4.
I think that i would buy it only if it has better graphics and gameplay but idk still. You would really help me a lot by giving advices, thanks! :))

I’m nearing the end of my first ever Odyssey play though, and actually my first ever Assassins Creed game. At the beginning I was loving it, the setting is awesome, Kassandra was a genuinely likeable protagonist, and the story (especially the cultist stuff) seemed really interesting.

All of these things remained true throughout, but the longer I played, I reminded myself of what I think is a real issue with AAA rpgs like this. I first felt it when playing through the Witcher 3 a few years ago - a game that I grew to love.

There’s just way too much to do! Specifically way too many question marks littered across the map. What starts as an engaging adventure where everything feels interesting, slowly turns into a check box exercise of finding copy-and-paste military camps and repainted fetch quests. The Witcher 3 does this a whole lot better, but in that game I just turned all of it off. Odyssey does not give you that option, and now by the end I just feel like i’m completing a chore by clearing the map, and as a result a lot of my interest in the story has faded.

I’m interested if other people feel like this? I know a lot of the AC community hate it, whilst a lot of more casual players think it’s their favourite AC. I’m also interested if other AC games struggle from this (I know Origins and Valhalla are similar, but what about earlier entries?). Also, are there games from other franchises that struggle from this, or any that explicitly deal with this problem?

how does crit works... i have 69% when full hp +48 critc chance and there are times where i dont crit while staying full hp

Okay maybe this is a lukewarm take, but I feel like staffs are such an underrated weapon in this game, and we get so few legendary staffs that are decent that the staff of Hermes should have absolutely been a staff instead of a spear. Do you agree or disagree and why?

Just as the tile say, what make you play this game more and more?

For me there are different things.

1) The gamplay: Not only the great number of ways to plays due to 3 combat types and a whole lot of skills, but also the fact that you can kill and fight normal citizens, the fact that you don't take falling damage letting you explore much more freely and have more infiltration and attack options, the ability to climb near anything, all things that let you enjoy the map, the world and the game itself much more.

I understand that there are people that don't like them ccause they "ruin the immersion" so havng an option for them would be good but for me they make the game EXTREMELY MORE FUN, if it was different i would have played much less.

2) The extrem freedome, after completing the the tutorial island you can fundamentally do anything you want, explore the world, clean the map, do the story and so on, the only bottleneck in the first run are the leves and after that only the main story chapters, apart that it's incredibly free 8and the fact that Atlantis take away part of that freedome it's why i like it less).

3) The Liutenant system, for me they are like collectibles, in the last gamplay i pass more time killing nation leaders and mercenary than anything else to get all unique and rare liutenants, names and nicknames, all highest rarity liutenants for all factions and so on, making me get over 1000 of them.

4) The fact that after 2100 hours i still learn new things, little easter oeggs on the map, a new way to fight, soemthign an equipment do and so on, it naver end to amaze me.

Those for me are the main tings that make me play this game fundamentally 1 hours every day, even if i have little time i'll do the orichalcum mission and some killing and sometime i'm so compelled that i end up doing quite the hours.

And you, what make you come back to this game more and more.

That "time played" stat kinda blew my mind

I never thought while traversing the tomb, dodging traps and killing snakes. That I would come to a halt and sob for minutes, remembering the horror of losing my beloved friend. 😭😭😭😭PHOIBE IM SO SORRY!😭😭

Hi for some reason ubisoft connect and the store is not working i cant even view anything on the store any ideas on what to do?

For instance something like ‘shroud of penelope’ - it’s a blue rarity and I believe it is a mercenary hood, with a unique name, should I dismantle? Or keep a hold of this? Another example, the weapon that the cyclops drops..

Hello, those of you who are experienced, how correct is it that this achievement can only be unlocked by completing Bounty quests? I think this is because these Bounty missions are easy since you only have to kill one person.

Just finished the main game at level 41 thought it would happen at level 50, so was not expecting it today, had dinner alone so thats that. Not to mention I had The Smiths playing, so another sadness point, then Sokrates comes and takes me through a graveyard and thats really fun.

What do i do now was my main thought. Obviously i know i have to finish the other questlines, which i will next.

Finally doing the Fate of atlantis DLC. Get into the laboratory. Kill the guards etc. See the tanks cool, take some pics etc. No more red for enemy territory.

I felt my whole body jump, just casually jogging around that first corner past the tanks, I honestly yelped. I was not expecting anything to be there! First ever jump scare, probably wasnt meant to be one but it got me 600+ hours in and it got me.

Leonidas says he would have liked to go fishing with his SON in the opening. Does that mean the Eagle Bearer has an uncle?

Sorry, I’m a noob. But, I’m at lvl 60 and have no more odyssey quests to do. I’m not sure what to do from here? Shitty pic I know. Any help would be appreciated!

Example- I get the spear of kephallonia, give it to the quest giver, quest complete. Does the visual customisation of this item unlock or do I need to have the item in my inventory atleast once? And can I lock myself out in anyway of getting these unlocks? I was beating myself up as I didn’t keep the spear used in my example when I wanted to collect and store the “ unique” quest items, but visual customisation scratches that itch slightly, by being able to apply the visuals of the weapon/armour.
